I'd say Zemo was quite fun, and Enchantress. I'm sure Spader will be good but EMH Ultron was a stand out. Purple Man was a nasty piece of work, and Ross Rulk was amazing. Quote:
Personally, I'm curious about this talk of Animated tie-ins.
As far as I know, that's actually a Fox workaround they can use. Marvel has the animated rights for mutants/X-men, just not the live action rights. So it would be an interesting way to work in some mutant/x-men stories that take place in the MCU. I don't think Disney/Marvel would have any reference to X-Men, mutants or the F4 until they have the film rights firmly within their grip. |

I was under the impression Fox only owned cinematic rights, and had to go to Disney to ask to do the X-Men tv show they had planned?
I don't think Disney/Marvel would have any reference to X-Men, mutants or the F4 until they have the film rights firmly within their grip. Otherwise Mutant X would have never had that lawsuit filed against it by Fox. They were checking with Marvel about TV series because Marvel knows the characters. They still have a working relationship as much as everyone wants to view it as Marvel and Fox hating each other. That's why we got the Hulk vs. Wolverine animated movie from Marvel. If that was live action, it wouldn't have happened at all. Overall you're right though for major characters and teams. Especially with the inhuman presence in the tv show and soon the movies. So I doubt fantastic 4 would crossover. Ditto to bringing up Xavier's school in a large fashion. That'd create too many questions of why don't we see them in the cinematic universe. But Wolverine I could see them sliding into a Captain America flashback story among a handful of other cameos that can be easily dismissed for why they aren't in the movies. Even Deadpool I could see them finding a way to work in maybe for a laugh, and his 4th wall breaking would be something they'd want to keep out of the major cinematic events and tv series. So that, if at all, would only be for comedic purposes as a one-off "what the hell, why not." So the only mutants I'd expect to see in the animated tie-ins to the cinematic universe are ones that could easily be worked around for no major headlining movie appearances any time soon if at all. So stuff set in the far past, or stuff set in the far future, besides the characters that can blend in and aren't major code named heroes unless there's a story device in place to explain away why they wouldn't appear in the upcoming major crossover films. |

They are definitely not putting X-Men & F4 in these tie-ins, not with the burial they've been given in the comics.

The Secret Wars is coming in two months and will be "THE END OF THE MARVEL UNIVERSE AS WE KNOW IT."
I don't read comics so none of that stuff bothers me. More into the idea of it than the story telling behind it. Love the films and cartoons though. Mostly just like toys, and it happens that all of that like has been concentrated and focused soley on Marvel 3.75" toys. All the retcon ideas I think are good. I like the classic stories and the classic look figures. Female Thor, Superior Spider-Man, modern outfits..... Meh. I do study quite a bit and read up constantly through rhe Maevel Fact Files each week (just got week # 108 this morning) so I do know what is current and is happening as well as all the good older tales as well. I just really love this scale and really love Marvel. Most of the guys here got into the toys because of their love of the characters.... I got into the characters because of love of the toys!

It is interesting UKMU, I think you are one of the very few that came into this reverse.
The main character I hope they can get is Viper, I almost walked out the theater when I saw her in Wolverine. I Truly feel that is one of the hugest mistakes that the movies directors did with the franchise. its another reason why I refused to watch DOF ..they named dropped, alter powers and personalities just to say, well you know who was in the movie..its like the damn directors/writers never read any of the source material. So want a proper Viper. From the EMH show...besides ones I've mentioned ..Red Ghost and his apes might be a fun custom, chemestro, living laser, and favorite of mine Mandrill lol...need a dr strange body for that now that i think about it...and he would be hard but awesome...i really want a Griffen figure...he appears in season one ..the breakout... he's the white tiger faced flying thing trying to eat Antman |

I'm sure we'll get Madame Hydra at some point, but not Viper. That ship has sailed unfortunately

Speaking of which, last night I thought about someone I hadn't given thought to before that I'm surprised we don't have (in either format actually) - the Wizard. Though he's F4,so who knows. I do know he is fairly high profile and one of their bigger threats (though nowhere near of Doom/Galactus) |

It all started with THE AVENGERS, then EMH in 2012....my son was DYING for Figures and a vehicle to play while he watched the show. I got the retail Helicarrier and some figures for him. Christmas came and went a bit nuts. Since then it has become quite an unhealthy obsession bordering on addiction. Getting close to the end though....sort of. Only a handful of characters left then some key customs. I did start off with the higher value, harder to find figures. Then went to build massive armies before getting the common easier (cheaper) figures. Had 15 Skrulls before getting Silver Surfer, and had Firestar before getting a Spiderman. Even had a Maria Hill before Doctor Strange. Now the figures we need to fill gaps are cheap at least!!!

Wave 2 is up as a case on Amazon - $99 for the six figures with a ship date of July 31st. Given my minimal interest in this wave now and the fact it's shipping nearly four months out, I'll definitely be passing on this particular set. Hopefully we will see the singles show up on Amazon in the next month for less. If not, well, this may be a wave I just hope for the best at retail as none of the figures in the wave are ones I "can't wait to have".

It's never complete UKMU, we are 100% including variants (astral strange etc. rather than shorthair/long hair type) and there is always something else that you can add be it an old sasquatch that scales well or a sugarman or maybe you need that third BAF sentinel.
Then you pick up a paintbrush because you get sick of waiting for the work you have paid for to be completed and then you are buying figures for a hat or a hand its an awful rabbit hole to fall into lol

Very true on all above statements....Cause then you also do things like buy a roadblock, bat, cobra commander, scarlett etc, to make better looking representations of figures you already have lol i mean i bought two dollar general cobra commanders, for the sheath and sword. then put the hood on a skull body got older zemo...but then needed a body for skull...so i got the poc cobra commander with coat....roadblock for crossbones, then used the rocks head to make mac from agents of shield on the old crossbones body ..lol...i just gave myself a headache lol Last edited by samsson37; 04-09-2015 at 11:14 AM.. |

I wish Hasbro would do a cinematic line already though. I mean outside of the movies. A nice cinematic line that covers everything in the MCU would be awesome right now. Deathlok, Daredevil, and more are all begging for figures for movie shelf collections. |

Anyone else buy that 3.75 inch Target exclusive Age of Ultron 3-pack? Not crazy about the movie Ultron figure but the broken ironman droid-possessed Ultron figure is actually kinda cool. Wouldn't mind having an army of those!

We haven't even seen Graviton yet, just Professor Quirrel in a suit. Eventually I suppose

I nabbed Scarlet for Jean Grey & Retaliation Roadblock for Luke Cage,& the amount of Baronesses I've bought for customs. Bloody GI Joe making better figures than MU.

Oh. I'd heard his alter ego (Frank Hall) had made an appearance. Yeah don't want a suit. I want a Gravi-licious Graviton. Which, I'm probably the only person on the planet that has him high up on my wish list but so be it. Plus, as I keep pushing, if we can get a Graviton it's relatively an easy step to get Count Nefaria out of that. Who is even higher on my wish list (and again I'm likely the only one)
