I don't know, I recently had a conversation similar to this with my brother in law. I could definitely see too much knowledge of the comic continuity of a character screwing with an actor's ability to represent the MCU version of the character. Lets face it the MCU Hawkeye is not even close to the comic version! I could just imagine some uber fan-boy actor going on set and bitching that the writers need to alter the script to let everyone know that Hawkeye was in the Circus, and they need to bring him in as a Villain, and show his path to redemption, or complain that the costume needs to better represent his classic look. I'm just saying most of our favorite heroes and Villains have been around longer than most of us! I could just imagine Hugh Jackman walking off the set of XMO, because wolverine is NOT Sabertooth's brother!, or Chris Evans getting angry because Bucky fell off of a Missile, not a train! not everyone grew up reading comics, I'm sure Renner researched his roll a bit, but I could definitely see benefits to bringing in a fresh un-biased perspective,, especially on a project as big as MCU where your really building a whole new continuity as apposed to being stuck with 75+ years of other writers work to tip toe around. Also, of course he's doing it for a paycheck! they all are. no one gets into a multi billion dollar film franchise for the fun of it. I'm sure when RDJ's contract comes up he's not going to say "I just love the character and the fans so much I'll do the next three films for free". and as far as I can tell he's probably the coolest and most down to earth one of the bunch.

Its the head from the mini mates Zola. You have to dremel the head socket a bit to make it rest better on the bat neck. I painted my a dark grey ..I didn't like the purple. I tried using the bat droid head ( broken face )...just doesn't have the same effect as the camera head

Well she is an administrative assistant in the movies and usually takes second seat directing SHIELD so that qualifies her enough for the holiday, she basically holds Nick Fury up and keeps SHIELD running. But if we're just going for secretaries only then Pepper Potts, Karen Page, and Betty Brant get that recognition.

For the AoU 2 packs, are Cap and Fury at all different from previous releases, or are they just repacks? I know Widow and IM are altered.

^ I saw them at TRU yesterday and Cap and Fury looked exactly the same... except for maybe fury looked like he was cast in a slightly different color of plastic? At $20 I had to pass on both, I may resort to chinabay for Widow and mark 43. That stealth suit cap doesn't look so great and I already have a few Furys for customs. All we get is repacks/repaints with every collectors favorite, giant over sized spring loaded missile launchers.

Wish they at least gave cap one of his masked heads. So we could have gotten the masked version of that suit as seen in Winter Soldier and more currently in the Avengers Assemble toon. It's kinda funny. They keep giving us cap without a mask, but a brick and mortar store Tony Stark release? Nada. |

The Winter Soldier Cap would have been about a thousand times better if they had repainted him to look like his AoU suit. It looks more or less like the same suit with some new colors.

^ I probably would have bought it if they did something like that.
If anyone needs a loose Sif for cheap: Marvel Studios Staff Strike SIF from Thor The Mighty Avenger 3 75'' Figure FK461 | eBay I just ordered a Heimdall but he is now out of stock to buy it now but they have him up for auction. |

I don't mind repaints too much because they usually do match or come close to something that actually exists (plus decades of video games have conditioned me into feeling fondness over them) but repacks are just straight up lazy - especially when all of the repacks for this like so far weren't even hard to find.
I can't remember the Falcon/Hawkeye pack. Were either of them just straight up repacks?

Ok UKMU and whoever else, after seeing last night's Agents of SHIELD, I think Bakshi needs to join my Hydra army. I've got the body - the old Face figure from the A-Team movie, but what head? Suggestions?
Here's a reference pic for those who don't watch the show: Sunil Bakshi - Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Wiki

A friend shipped me a Gray Beast and he arrived today, along with a couple eBay purchases. 1990s-era Strong Guy and Apocalypse (with interchangeable arms) for the shelf. I was never happy with Hasbro's Apocy. Too stumpy and wide. That body works well for Thanos and Blastaar but not Apocy IMHO. This version looks MUCH better and still towers over the other figures as he should. :-)
