Bug eye look yes, a bit of sculpt should do. I was thinking of buying a GI Joe Flamethrower figure I think it was, to make a more modern looking Pyro, but that is amazing. The parts work brilliantly together, the only thing that needs changing of course is the star.

Also, some thoughts on the newest wave.

The best: Thunderstrike( He had the most detail out of the whole wave. the leather vest is phenomenal looking, as well as the boots.)

The worst: Vulture(For the sheer frustration of the wings never staying on and the fact that you cant turn his without popping it off.)

I see daredevil having some retool future as marvel now! moon knight. the armor features are eerily similar.

The robot arms for doc ock are pretty nice. they have some bend articulation at the midpoint, but unfortunately, the claws are not in a configuration to help hold him off the ground.

Shanan comes with a knife holster. she has no other interesting qualities whatsoever.

No they are very articulated. Repaint MU stuff or at least first generation Marvel Movie articulation. I'm talking just a step up from 5 POA with knees and elbows.

Awesome pics / dio!!!

As for that Hawkeye + Falcon pack, I'll be skipping it - Im not keen on Falcons blue trousers and the tiny red parts on the wings aren't different enough from the previous version to warrant getting a 2nd.

Also to be a super nitpicker, why show Hawkeyes new suit on the pack if its the old Avengers fig inside (minus shield logo)?? DAAAMN YOOOUSE!!!!

Avengers Assemble had two lines.

One was basic 5 poa.

The other was Shield Tech that had the same articulation as the first avengers movie line. It had 3 waves planned, two made it to major retail, the third went to outlet shops. Most of the figures were retooled previous movie line stuff with some new parts.

Lol, that's pretty much how I see every custom figure out there...sorry folks, if it's not an original brand figure it's just a fake. IMO.

I'm surprised someone bought that thing...
Nice dio bmorr! If someone needed some decent cardboard backgrounds just shop at Costco and as for boxes... I've been using the same box with a peacekeepers house for a long time.

That's a nice pyro recipe longest day. The gi joe figure that works pretty well is blowtorch, that's what I used and it was super easy.

I have a Nightcrawler and Professor X up for EBay auction starting at .99 cents if anybody is interested? The bid ends next Tuesday and good luck to the person who gets em. I'm sure it will find its way to a Collector.(Guardians of the Galaxy the Collector does a shimmy shake when he retrieve an Infinity Gem). I feel that way everytime I get a new Marvel Universe figure or when something catches my eye.. Haha!!

Sometimes fakes, knock offs, or clones are as good (or better) as the original. Case in point, Ben reilly, the original Scarlet Spider:

Loving the MOE, that Pyro and the HYDRA jeep! Bmorr that set up came out really nice too.

I had a horrible thought late last night while half awake and half asleep in bed.... With Marvel Studios skipping Hall H and Marvel Publishing not even appearing at SDCC (apparently) and with the current Stall regime in power....is it possible that we may not even get a SDCC exclusive this year? The Antman could be a movie tie in to be shown with upcoming releases. Or, maybe a return to the days of a single figure exclusive..... Whoa is me.

With Secret Wars going on, and ANAD starting not long after, it makes sense that Marvel would skip that. Too much they can't say as yet and don't want to risk slipping up on either. NYCC though may have big things.

I'm sure Marvel has some big news still waiting in the wings though to announce at key moments.
