Scored an extra sandman to use for a Norman osborne head. Works pretty damn well on the iron patriot suit. Local tru now has enough blue and grey beast to start a zoo. Still no Hawkeye falcon sets or single vision. Surprisingly a cloak figure mysteriously appeared on the racks. Not sure if he's a random return or a stockroom discoverie.

You have to use a third party buyer. 1)you pick it 2)you pay for it 3)seller ships it to your buyer 4)your buyer inspects it, adds 8%-10% then ships in any variety of options.

My best advice.... But in small batches 1-3 figures. You get hosed in fees and shipping but is HALF or less of getting hit with an import duty. You guys in U.S. can see up to 40% of declared value. And even if the declared value is low.... They suspect you of illegally importing without paying tax and permits... Then you are looking at up to a $500 fine.

Also I just bought an Ultron last week for $8.50.... Got my confirmation email today, after a credit card fee for using visa, .71 cents for shipping and a mild 7% buyer fee it totalled $19.36 total.

Some of the sellers are resellers but a lot are collectors like us. Figures there are just cheap, like buying tacos in Mexico versus buying them in a posh restaurant in Sweden, where they would cost you $12 each.... Same with figures in China.

Also it works better for guys in region2,region4. Region 1(merica) gets hit pretty hard with fees. Also for me,$20 is less than £12 right now so even at £12 it still beats the new raised price point. What they charge for toys in UK and U.S. Are usually the same-$10=£20 a fifty dollar playset is a fifty pound playset.

I don't think Taobao is a secret I think it is a huge pain to order from. Most people I have met with any experience with them can read chinese and are a bit more aware of what they are agreeing to. I signed up for yoybuy and taobao, but the way to go about purchasing from them still excapes me.

I followed the steps on yoybuy, but the address thing seem a bit fishy, plus the example they show is slightly different than Taobao current site...

Speaking from someone who has done professional business with Taobao (i.e. NOT buying/selling... more in the intertubes side), be very careful with any and all things on there. It may be China's eBay, but keep in mind that it's still wild wild east, unregulated, you-have-no-leg-to-stand-on-if-you-get-screwed China, and is sketchy as shiiiiiiiiiiiiit.

I find myself salivating over some of those hella cheap figures but I won't even bother with TB. To me, it's not worth the hassle. It's why I stick with what I call cBay (the Chinese/Hong Kong sellers on eBay) because A) I've bought from most of them before so I know how they roll (they even have given me good customer service when I've needed it) and B) if you do get hosed there's steps you can take to recover losses - they're not flawless, but at least you're not boned by default.

Star Lords boots are moulded separately so should pop off easily. Might have to modify slightly to fit but still SHOULD be an easy job even for beginners. Should?

Thanks Uni, what is great is you can drop his height by around a third (probably not that much though) by using this kit bash. Shorter torso, shorter thighs so that will help bring him down a bit to better scale. The goal is MU Guardians to be about belly button high. Just the straight baf they come around ball high. A little too tall to fit in our bags as well, so for me I want him a bit shorter. Maybe an inch overall... Will shoot for inch and a half drop in overall height??? We'll see though.

You guys will know when I know. I thought about this SECOND I saw the EE box mock up pop up everywhere... Was like whoa, a scaled paint free comic look Groot... Maybe?

Also.... A bigger Drax would be nice. Maybe cast in green or get a green H.A.C.K.S. body so no painting. Bound to be a smaller Hulk out there maybe?
