Some good reads, these last posts. A lot of valid points. Love the meme Kam! Also really happy that you got your Lady Deadpool. It is a VERY moment when you finally hold the figure you've wanted for so long! Good for you and may your Anti-Venom find his way to you soon!

They're not even using the HYDRA goon body anymore, so that would be nonsense. The head yes, perhaps on a Daredevil body, but most likely on that new Big Time Spider-Man body everyone gets now.

I would like a Titania to go with Absorbing Man though, someone here does a great custom.

KDub is the man that makes the great custom...I should know ..it was for me :-)

Yeah I made it, but I can't take full credit as Samsson and I spitballed ideas of what would and wouldn't work. I think it was actually Samsson who had the idea to use upside-down "diamonds" as the spikes, and I think they turned out perfect. Also the simple boot cuffs really help make the figure a lot less She-Hulk and a lot more Titania, in fact I really can't see She-Hulk at all in it.

@Jedi.... That is the Absorbing Man I want.

There are still some great figures I need. I focused on the rare stuff first, then started army building, then got into kit bashing, and most recently custom commissions. In hindsight getting expensive stuff first works well. The problem is going back in for stuff once you have a long customs list. Like it is hard for me to get excited over Sampson or Kitty Pride. My toy budget only goes so far.

I agree with Serious about supporting the smaller Indy companies as well. Really looking forward to H.A.C.K.S. blank bodies. The "super hero" look is usually a skin tight outfit. So we need "nude" figures and most army style themed lines are always in baggy fatigues of some sort.

In a way I (almost) feel bad for Hasbro. No matter they do we (at least me) will complain. More characters/ characters too obscure- don't end the line/the new style sucks they should have ended it-all that type of stuff.

No one complained at the 2014 wave 3 MI though or the new Emma as far as characters selection and articulation. Them everyone hates Big Time Spidey for the opposite reasons. I still want more females, more villains, and finish the teams off.

I too will buy new stuff at a pick and choose rate. Continue to army build and seeking out awesome play sets. Kitbashing and customising along. Always looking out for the missed pieces as well. I too collect 3.75" yesterday today and tomorrow. I am in it
For the long haul.

I know the Hasbro exclusive contract ends in 2018. I would guess that is when they bow out. So we have a couple good years left. Might be fun reminiscing in 2023 about when they actually made figures perhaps. I suspect the Marvel license will get a wider treatment like the Star Wars brand sees now. That will be exciting seeing five or six companies making the same figure vying for our collector cash.

Sorry it is a bit pixelated...
I actually like the gold sheen

I may have posted these, but they still make me all kinds of happy. What I need next is to acquire another Reed figure from that set and a Wave 1 Johnny Storm in blue-and-black so I can start an original costume set.

I can happily say I have now seen all of Ant-Man including both post-credit scenes. I liked it a lot. There were flaws of course but Paul Rudd was entertaining as Scott, I really liked Corey Stoll as the villain, and even though it wasn't as strong as it could have been they did well enough at showing Scott's family situation and how much he cared. After the big explosive blockbuster Age of Ultron it was nice of Marvel to have a slower, steadier film. Re-purposing Yellowjacket as the villain made sense to me because otherwise there aren't many villains they could have used and some of those might have been silly (audiences weren't ready for Egghead).

I got your pm's Jedi, I only have a few messages left before I hit 50. Really need to sort those out. Many are half a mile long and have a Wikipedia volume of knowledge in each. I will be sending out your goodies Monday morning. I would love that Absorbing Man as well. I will give you something REALLY good for him. Just need to have a dog around in the boxes.

Got my customs from Pilk in and plan on sharing tomorrow with you guys. 3.75" scale Mandroids for the SHIELD army. Always liked the idea of having ones that were like a suit instead of a giant mech. Something different anyway.

Also got Doombot number seven. Just one more to go!!!! The best part is.... Doom (not the bots) is THE same exact Doom that belonged to K Dub and sat atop his awesome display AND was featured in his now famous YouTube dio video!!! Honoured to keep him as the main Doom!!!

When we got that Doom he went to see Cap 2 TWS with us. The lad had me keep him in my outer breast pocket in my jacket peaking out! That same Doom has been to many car trips and we even made a tiny basket for him to ride in on my sons bike!!! We really THAT Doom a lot!

Funny story, hooked up a member with a Maria Hill a few years ago. She ate breakfast with us on her final day in England with her own plate setting, bacon, milk the works! We all gave her a kiss ( even mama ukmu) goodbye and wished her well before packing her away for her new home.

Silly and sappy but I often like to do something memorable with the higher profile figures for a special send off! Also like using stickers and silly packing material. If your gonna trade, might as well make 'em smile too!!!!

Well I need to buy the flesh Creel first, then comes torso-cracking. He's closer to the top in purchase list though, so it won't be that long before I've got him.

Not silly at all, I actually still have Legends & Select Red Hulks (from back when I didn't know the scales properly and just wanted a large Hulk) that I haven't gotten rid of because I can't guarantee they'll go to a loving home where they won't be torn to part for customs or not loved X'D

Last Doom story....
I often hold him and use my dad voice impersonation of Doom. I say in a deepened voice," DOOM says give dad your red jelly beans." Or, "Doom says we should watch Big Bang Theory." Or, "Doom says dad does not want spaghetti again this week."

Just silly things. He is coming with us next week on holiday as a matter of fact! Believe it or not I consider THAT particular Doom part of the family. I mean if some one can have a pet snail and name it, why can't our Doom be a pet too? Dooms says no more stupid stories about humanising toys.

Doom..... Out.

I don't know if poor taste is exactly the right word I'd use but it's pretty amazing what people will try to sell. And you know someone's going to fall for it.

Unless the poor taste was just referring to the fact of trying to bamboozle someone, and not the fact it's a "death of" figure, in which case I completely agree.

Reminds me of the old joke about getting Hasbro to package two burnt plastic skeletons and selling them as corpse Owen and Beru Lars.

I don't think bamboozle is the correct term after all it does say custom. If I was making a dio I'd probly want it.

Paperweight. Maybe we should try to customize some non-zombie Marvel dead....you know, Nightcrawler with a hand added into his chest, headless Magneto (ignore the retcon), burnted and explosion-torn Ant-Man...

they should do a whole "death of" sub line, jean grey with claw holes, headless sabertooth, the possibilities are endless!
This is the look I prefer for sabertooth, plus he'd be a good Iron fist Villain. It's almost as frustrating to me when we get a hero without a Villain ( Blade, Punisher, Ghost Rider, Iron fist, Luke Cage.) these guys always end up having to pose with a random ninja or goon. Has anyone done a wolverine in his brown costume without mask, and brown jacket yet?

Well to be fair....does Iron Fist even really have "a" villain? Even Ghost rider has Blackheart and Cage has Purple Man....

Guys, I'm extremely interested in the Revoltech Mini Ultron, but I don't know what to expect in terms of price. Could someone name an educated guess, please?

Hey guys. I'm getting rid of all of my marvel 3 and 3/4ts stuff. I have almost every figure made except the inhumans pack, solid vision, and a few others. I'd make a list, but it's way easier to make a list of what I don't have. I'm going to break out the 2 tubs of figures I have and snap some pics later, so check my trade thread in my sig.
