I'm not sure, but you can always start one if there isn't.

@MUfan97 What jedi said. Just to be safe though, if you're gonna post 3.75" DW pics here you should make it a crossover with Marvel.

Customizing 101 is about to begin for me. Got my parts and ready to sit down and finally learn how to do it this week. Got my seconds of a Dr. Strange and Captain Britain after testing the first ones I had for head fit and basic look before repaint. I'm fairly excited to begin the process of getting Count Nefaria into my collection.

So I got the Marvel Select movie Ant-Man figure (I really really like it) and the shrunken version he comes with works great with my MU setup. He has no pose of course but he looks great all things considered and he's just shorter than Rocket Raccoon.

The latest addition to my cosmic Marvel shelf...

I plan on ordering Vort's Super-Skrull arms and legs to compliment this in various ways.

So, guys and gals, I know we all have different points of view on marvels recent "diversity" (forced and sad, or great and inspired? that's up to you) push. It's super obvious, almost, up until now. I want thoughts on this....

MOON GIRL & DEVIL DINOSAUR #1 Brings You a Girl and Her Prehistoric Pal This November - Comics - MarvelousNews.com

Is anyone really uncomfortable with MOON BOY being replaced with a young black girl? I'm not one to read into things too much, but this seems... pretty racist.

I don't like getting to deep into the discussion because I might end up accidentally saying something that could be interpreted as offensive, but I've got to agree. I'm 100% okay with Marvel diversity, but really? You can't just rebrand a character, slap on a different race, and boom. The same thing with gender swapping characters.

It feels so forced. We'll just have to wait and see how it goes.

I've been alright with the forced diversity til now - Falcon has been Caps sidekick since the 70s, it made more sense for him to become Cap than Bucky. Danvers was no longer using the Ms Marvel name anymore, so someone else took it, who happens to be Muslim. Jane Foster somehow got to the moon to retrieve Mjolnir, I don't know, I don't care for that anyway.

But where has Moon Boy gone in canon?

Here's my stance on the diverse comics. I'd rather have new characters! Some of these guys have been killing it for 75+ years and we just kill them off turn them another race or sex and expect people to buy in. It's like Miles Morales who was born basically out of racist remarks. The character is forced and just not likable. But what Marvel is doing is not half as bad as DC. They literally made a character turn gay whose power comes from magic fire & weakness is wood. Like I said I'd rather have new characters. There is a total lack of creativity in everything across the board. Many of my African American friends tell me when talking about black characters, that there are not really any good ones. They're either the sidekick or the anti-hero, but forcing them into a famous hero is just as bad. I kinda agree with that. The Falcon thing does make sense and it is cool, but it's the same as Greyson as Batman it's just not Batman. We'll that's my two sense off to work.

P.S. I dig that Super Skrull. God knows I have thousands of them in my area. Maybe I should do this.

Glad you guys like him. By all means, copy it at will. Lord knows we need to collectively do something to kill the abundance of the Guardians wave on the pegs.

The thread has been moving slowly so I thought I'd give it a push by dumping some photos I found. None of these are mine.

This brings up a question: Has anyone seen any nice 3.75" Quasar customs? I'm dying to get him on my shelf with the Annihilators and if it isn't too tough I may give it a try since I seem to be in that mindset lately.

And just to keep the pictures coming, an oldie...

I wish I could get there... I love these Figures and I really enjoy growing my collection, but I haven't made a custom in a long time...

I really think that MI has slowed my customizing, I say this because they are literally making almost every figure that I made as a custom.

Here is the list of figures I had already made that they have or are releasing:

Whirlwind
Bishop
Black Cat
Sandman
BLUE Beast
Doc Ock
Vulture <- First Custom I ever made
Chameleon
Korg <- Never saw that coming
Morbius
LOCKJAW!!!<- Again Never saw that coming

To be honest the Sandman wave was the hardest pill to swallow, 4 must have characters that I "already" had.

I'm still avidly collecting and once the new wave hits HTS I will be placing an order, I'm think I'm just gun shy to make anything since you never know who is coming next.

Indeed. I think I'm most likely going to stick to easy customs of characters that I strongly doubt will get made. Characters like Kl'rt, Jack Flag, Quasar, Captain Universe, Hellcat and Monica Rambeau.

Son of Satan and Doctor Spectrum are on my short list as well.

See, back when I was a regular Marvel comics buyer Quasar was the epitome of the cosmic character. I find it really odd when Marvel is trying to re-create a cosmic mythos that he seems to be totally written out. He deserves a figure.

That's funny... I found a cheapo colossus juggernaut comic pack at tj maxx so I can make a Ronan with colassus, but I know hasbro will make one the minute I paint it.

Also saw an Emma frost on China bay loose for $30. I made some offers and was able to get a whole $2 off down to $28. F that I declined the offer. I used to be able to get the new loose figures for cheap but it looks like those days are over.
