Is it just me, or has the thread been moving really slow for the past 2 days? I'll try to do a photo dump if I get the time to speed things up.

Since shunquan has brought up people who have been off the gird, I thought I'd ask if anyone knows where @Ashrok is. He's one of my favorite Youtubers and from what I've seen he's the most underrated action figure reviewer on Youtube. He has been off the grid for quite some time now. He hasn't posted anything on here since 9/21/13 and he hasn't uploaded anything on his Youtube channel since 2/6/15. Does anyone have any idea where he is? Here is his ToyArk page and his Youtube channel:

He's pretty much staying with minimates for now. He had some big expenses come up in his life so he had to "lay low" for a while.

If that doesn't work I found his MUCC page and his Figure Realm page for you. If neither of these two don't work then you should ask other Arkers on here. I'm assuming he has profiles on a lot of figure forums.

I'm not sure if I should be extremely impressed or grossed out. It's a little bit of both I suppose

Damn, that sucks. I hope he'll get up and running soon! I'm not sure if you know him and if his Skype or something, but I'm assuming you have some relationship with him because I can't find his reason for leaving anywhere. If you have anything like his email or whatever you should ask him if he'd like me to whip up something like a quick farewell for now type of video that doesn't have any talking but just some text on a screen so that his fans will have an answer as to why he's left. I'm no professional, but I've attempted to make a Youtube channel and although I've abandoned it I picked up a few tricks along the way so I can whip up something that will suffice.

BTw someone asked me about my custom figures I made from 4 inch figs(inc. MUs). They're of various characters you can see I've made in Heromachine or doodled

De'ja Vu Torres Photo by dollywitch | Photobucket

Penny Dreadful - Socially Awkward Goth Girl Outfit Photo by dollywitch | Photobucket

I also used the designs from the comics I doodle, like Deja's arms are covered and Penny has the cheesy Skull pendant:

Crystalline Words

I took some liberties with the design though.

Here they are hanging out with some Monster High chars(They're from my fic Nine Tales University which is sort of Monster High in the Forgotten Realms kinda):

Another kinda crappy closeup pic(I'll take better pics soon):

Bases are an Anniversary Baroness figure(not sure which one) and a Liz Sherman Hellboy 2 figure. The other character Thread/Cousin Sarah is a Microsister.

Celestial Knight Iris, probs my fav I've made(aside from maybe Penny), she's from this book I was writing(which since got folded into some other stuff):

Celestial Knight Iris | National Novel Writing Month

Here's more of the Thread figure, and a couple of others. The Witch(Flora) was made from a Black Widow figure I sculpted over, and the cat lady (Lilaya) was Ms. Marvel/Warbird.

I'll take more pics some other time, post it in a proper custom thread. Some of the designs have changed.

I do custom D&D minis sometimes too.

I really want the Hawkeye fig actually since it's his modern costume. Was there a Modern Costume one with better articulation?

not every story, household, group or community has to be a spot on representation of the overall American demographic! it makes it feel engineered and forced to me. but I guess that's Disney's kee demographic... morons.
lol

you know like that white boys are still waaaaay over-represented in everything. Look at the MCU line-up! Do you have any idea how infuriating it is to be a girl marvel fan, let alone black, or latina or trans, or disabled? not to mention i'm dreeeeading what they're going to do with Copycat in the deadpool movie, as the character is a sex worker(as are many of my friends) it means she'll probably be fridged in the comics. MCU still has no openly queer characters after existing for like 6+ years and having about a dozen movies and 3 TV shows.

Disney channel stuff is mostly corny disposable shit nobody puts much thought into anyway, not iconic like superhero stuff, and you're still way exaggerating. and most stuff disney puts out is still biased towards white. look at all the non-white Disney princesses too - they all need historical(or pseudo-historical) or stereotypical settings to justify them. None of them exist just in a fairy tale land. The closest is Agribah which is a somewhat offensive mashup of Saudi Arabia/Persia/India. The brown princesses/leads also tend to be more sexualised - Jasmine wearing the slave outfit, and Esmerelda being a very exoticised take on a Roma woman(not that Wanda hasn't gone down that road a number of times too). and the poc princesses are constantly pushed to the back of merchandising. which is in part because some of them are hard to sell - pocohontas exists in a massively dodgy space given the real girl she was based on, (Though I personally like the character)Jasmine's sexualised look probably doesn't mean much to most middle eastern/muslim girls... Mulan wasn't even a Princess, but pretty much only her and Tiana are the only real role modely type characters that mean anything towards their target audiences. Whereas white girls can relate to Ariel, Cindrella, Aurora, Rapunzel, Anna, Elsa, Belle, Snow White, Alice, Tinkerbell... not that people shouldn't try to relate to characters that aren't like them, but we only ever expect this of minorities, and it's fatiguing... i know i'm tired of relating to straight people.

like how malicious and selfish do you have to be to have a problem with the few shows that make the white guy the token instead(of which I can't think of many? Steven Universe?) there is such a huge and vast problem with representation, especially in hollywood. we still can't queer characters in kids shows ffs. as if gay people only pop into existence age 18? it's ridiculous. if you can have boys and girls holding hands and kissing you can have girls and girls. yet even when you do have queer characters, like korra and asami or ruby and sapphire you have to skirt around it or not show them kissing(granted R&S have SORT of kissed, but not the long passionate lips locked sorta thing).

"PC" is a nonsense term made up to silence people who want to be treated equally, making the people wielding it look like they're somehow censored or persecuted.

Study backing me up in case you need that sort of thing before you'll listen to someone who isn't a straight white cis boy:

TV can boost self-esteem of white boys, study says - CNN.com

I know a lot of people would respond "well it's mainly meant for guys," but that's still BS. We need more representation of heroes with two X chromosomes. Scarlet Witch is easily one of my favorite Avengers and she only got one crappy 5POA toy for the movie, she was a chunk of the reason I enjoyed AoU. One of the main reasons I look forward to Civil War is seeing more of her, I really hope they expand her character and how she feels about having nearly aided Ultron in his genocide. I hope she and Vision are at least friends but I can absolutely see them ditching their romance because that's creepy.

I was never fans of Wolverine or Raphael for the same reasons, if you are always an asshole how are you the good guy? I always felt like Cyclops was the ultimate "GOOD" guy and as a Kid that made sense to me. As I get older I understand more of where Wolvie and Raph are coming from, but their attitudes still drive me crazy.

As for the all the PC nonsense and jargon I say no to kids making out on Disney channel. I have no kids, but I would imagine that I would not want my 6 or 7 year old watching kids make out regardless of what their genders are or sexual orientations. I personally hate all things PC, "Oh I am somewhat offended by some nonsense remove this nonsense so that I can feel entitled for the day or until the next Yahoo has a problem with something else and then I will be forced to choose my next BS battle that has nothing to do with you but somehow manages to effect you..." it kills me. I feel like if Cyclops was in charge things would go a lot smoother.

So in conclusion Fuck Kanye! <- Been saying it since Bonnaroo 2008
Scott Summers for President 2020!
