Metro and thanos wouldn't be hard at all. The ultron one I'd need to think about.. I'd be able to do the magneto one but I'd need a dummy hand

I'm looking forward to your Hawk-guy bike, I'm sure it will be awesome too. I think one of the old toybiz legends stands was a sentinel hand that would work perfect for that. |

Except for when the guns come out, because otherwise aiming them would change how he flies.
The figure itself was based on the concept art of the full military version of the suit though too. The one used in the movie is only the harness itself with maybe the remote activation and mode switch gloves to deploy his guns and switch it to glide mode. Everytime the wings themselves bend though in the film (other than when others damage them!) is because his arms move them. Last edited by Snowflakian; 09-30-2015 at 06:30 PM.. |

I bought the Super Hero Mashers Groot thinking with a repaint he would scale and fit in well with my MU Guardians of the Galaxy. What does everybody else use/think?

I get what your saying, but the wings control handles are on the underside, he can choose to grip them or not, they aren't stuck to the underside of his arms and articulated with his elbow like in the comics and the figure. plus now that you mention it I do wish they put him in the T-shirt, and they could have given him some guns. the head sculpt is great, I just wish he was a bit more movie accurate. the figure we got looks like a really early concept of what a cinematic Falcon might look like.
Part of the design to the figure though was also how to carry over that wing usage he does in the film for the more aerial aspects of his wing use(per the concept art). For that it needed to be molded on because there aren't many materials that would hold up for the bends he does with the wings even if they had handles. It's a trade off all around. Towards infinity war, we might see his newer costume from the films in figure form. Right now he's more Sam Wilson, Agent of SHIELD typed attire. |

You did a good job. Without paint; looks too toy-like to be honest, but a thought occurred to me: I would sand it down and add some scuffs and that would get rid of the "shiny" look. Add some paint like you did and then black-wash it to really accentuate the details in the wedges and scuffs. I bet it would look pretty legit for MU. Probably going to try this out next time I see it.

@Mutantkind: Oh okay; sorry I misunderstood. I was going to say; that's a pretty decent paint application but I'm sure you could do leagues better if you did.

Definitely not local, that's for sure! I preordered a set from Entertainment Earth a while back and forgot about it.

Has anyone gotten the Cap winter soldier figure that came out in the second wave with Falcon? it's really great! I'm amazed no one's raving about it. it's easily the best movie Cap out there. I really haven't liked any of the other ones, they all seem to have one or two let downs or tremendous flaws, but he's just about perfect. I also love the movie Falcon, but it did occur to me that in the movie don't his wings retract from his pack, not attach to his arms like the comics? I almost want to track down a GI Joe resolute Duke and steal his flight pack and arms for a custom movie falcon.
