I have been a 6 inch Legends collector since the 1st Toy Biz line (I even bought Toad). Universe was always a secondary collection for me, but with how the line has been treated, I am bowing out. The 6 Inch Legends are just better and more diverse , and getting more so, and for the 20$ (sometimes 18$) price I feel like I get more value compared to the now 13$ price the Universe has gone to.
Yup I feel that way too but on the MU side, and as well the value def is more there for the Legends class.

I feel like if Hasbro stuck to using bodies like the Jim Lee Cyclops buck then there'd be more justification to price closeness. It's a stellar buck with very high articulation and a great sculpt especially considering the size. For example, I think the 4" Daredevil (comic pack or recent individual) looks better than the new 6" one when you factor everything.

The company line about that buck (and the new female Aurora buck as well) is that tey have too many moving parts and would end up making the figures cost more than the big box store are willing to buy/sell them for. By reading into this, they're basically saying we'd be paying ML prices for MI figures with none of the added benefits.

Which, personally, I think is a crock. It's just another example of Stahl forcing the issue about his preferred scale and doing pretty much everything he can to put this line in the ground.

I had hoped that when the DCUC line ended, I wouldn't have to put up with somebody with such a strong bias for one line over the other again (Neitlich's preference for MOTUC over the DC stuff) and yet here we are again.

*grumble*

I refuse to buy into the MLs. Not only did I make the switch back in the day in good faith when Hasbro said they were moving forward with this scale, but I won't give Stahl the satisfaction of another customer for what he wants.

If they stop making the 3.75" figures, or they die on the pegs then so be it. Ultimately all he's doing is saving me money on figures I won't have to buy anymore.

I feel that Dwight Stall is to blame for a lot of the changes to our beloved line, but I don't blame him for everything.

Honestly if any of "US" (3.75 collectors) were put in charge, we all know where our focus would be. So I can't blame a guy for putting his heart into his job. When Vonner was around he was obviously a 3.75" guy considering Legends weren't in production the first few years of MU. Plus to Dwight's credit Legends are selling really well (I have seen over 5 restocks of the Ulton BAF wave and already 3 restocks of the Rhino wave at my TRU), so he is probably looking like the golden child to Hasbro right now.

At the end of the day I can see some of his points, like regardless of the size of the figure the cost to manufacture has got to be close to the same. It just sucks because the changes came at a time where MU was really chugging along. I can honestly say there were some MUs that I never saw on pegs and waves like Angel/puck were so good that sometimes the entire peg would be empty. I have never seen that for Legends, there are always some warmers.

So my biggest complaint is the age old "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" and there seem to be way too many changes to a line that was already quite successful IMO.

This is from the Legends thread, but we actually get some love from Dwight in this interview, I hope we do get a Mandrill!

Honestly, I don't think I'd ever make ML my main focus or anything bigger than 3 3/4" in general. For as long as I can remember, this scale has been my favorite one.

These are some pictures I dug up just to emphasize how much I love this scale. Keep in mind these pictures are outdated and my collection has become a lot more massive over time.
I concur, my first action figures were Darth Vader, Obi-wan, Yoda, and Anakin from the ROTS line on my 6th birthday. Then, after a 6 years of collecting Star Wars I branched out, got some Pirates of the Caribbean & Hobbit figures to go with my Jedi. Then I saw the Avengers at Christmas in an English lesson, and immediately went out and bought an Iron Man, Thor, and Spidey. Always been 3.75". Eventually Widow, Hulk, Cap, & Hawkeye phased out Obi-wan, Capt. Rex, Jack Sparrow, & Gandalf so now I'm all Marvel.

That's Uncle Ben from the Ben 10 series. He came in a 4 pack I believe. And the guy in front of the Iron Patriot is a Build N' Brawl Jeff Hardy. There used to be a WWE 3.75" line.

Top 10 Action Figures of 2013 | eBay

I love it when people write about things they just don't understand...

the comment about "mutant ninja turtles" having an impressive two points of articulation and Marvel Universe wolverine coming with a BAF Zola part are my favorite.

I had to google what you were referring to. That thing is freakin awesome! From a diorama standpoint; the hallways and rooms offer so much settings for photography. You could use it for Guardians of the Galaxy, the hull of a shield-carrier, transport, Skrull ship, SWORD, so many things. Sounds like you got a good deal too. Don't know what the retail price goes for anyway.

cheers and yeah i think I'm going to just use it as the avengers ship its massive and will be able to fit loads of figures in i read somewhere that there are 18 seats so you could probably fit about 22 figures in the ship and i believe retail was $150 but obviously scalpers grabbed all of them as there going on amazon for $700

I make very few exceptions to what I collect currently and actively outside of 3.75 so with Multiverse apparently out of the game, and if Marvel ever dumps, I would just stick to spending money on older stuff I don't have and customs.

I have the Falcon. It's got 8 seats, 4 in the cockpit and around the chessboard, plus one in the gun. There's also a medical bay, a storage compartment, panels on the floor for smuggling, and a working mechanical ramp. It's great, it's a sub for a Helicarrier right now.

We have the Naboo Royal Cruiser sitting here waiting for some paint and time to turn it into a X-Men Blackbird, that is just a huge ship but its pretty much a perfect shape

I tend to thing of the lot o' ye as sentient computer programs until proven otherwise anyway. Nothing matters to me other than action figure discussion here.

Vortious posted an update today showing off the custom Radioactive Man I ordered. I got tired of trying to locate the official one at a reasonable price (who I was disappointed was on that buck anyway) so I put together one using a larger buck. Vort even managed to cast the tunic, which came out AWESOME!! I can't wait to get this and paint that thing up. It only needs gold on the star and a little on the eyes. DONE!

he is really nice. You have amazing recipes my friend! Beefy figure for sure. I has fortunate to land a Radioactive Man for next to nothing when it came out and Baron Zemo was the super high priced figure. Got him $11.99 buy it now, sorry not rubbing it in just saying what it cost. That said, he is a really nice figure, one of top ten for sure. I really like your new one though and eagerly await pics when he arrives!!! Kudos
