What is odd is that it was widely reported that Vonner was fired due to the failure of ML - yet Marvel is really pushing ML now. I always thought that the reasoning was bogus simply because I never saw much in the way of ML here - and still haven't seen a lot of the figures from the Zola wave.

I would think it is likely we are starting to see some post-Vonner figures now - or at least, what we hear is coming soon. One thing is clear is that Hasbro has not abandoned MU. And as many have said before, they haven't even begun to really milk the possibilities of many of these new molds!

And we'll probably start to see that new buck milking in the 2013 molds. 2009 big year, 2010 slow year, 2011 big year, 2012 slow year, 2013 big year.

Action Figures take roughly a year from initial design, prototype and then hitting the store shelf in mass quantities(well probably closer to 6-8 months since there's no complicated engineering involved, just a lot of getting different prototypes okayed by higher ups before they hit the mass production cycle). Then you also have to account for retailer warehouses. It doesn't go hasbro to store. It goes hasbro to warehouse to retail main warehouse to division warehouses to stores(except for small stores like BBTS or mom and pop places or comic shops). Often in that setup there's a buildup or backlog of cases that can vary on where on the pallette. Sometimes you'll randomly see an early revision case months after it should have been up because it got buried, sometimes they have to work through that backlog for the new. Sometimes they toss a new box in with an old box to mix it up and unload both. It's not as simple as Hasbro sending the store the newest case assortment. There are too many transition points inbetween where hiccups can and do happen for distribution.

We've seen what the first waves of the 2013 series will be with the prototypes at SDCC that weren't in any slides yet. So they've probably got figures ready to go up to at least mid 2013 before we run out of vonner stuff. Even then, there are still very talented people in the MU bullpen like Jesse Falcon among others that are fully supporting MU over ML.

I agree with you guys. I'm wondering if Mysterio, Elecktra, and Rhino were post Vonner figures since they were newly announced at SDCC.

Doubt it would fit and I think you'd break the electronics

BAF, not masterpiece.

The BAF one has no electronics and is moderately easy to take apart.
