If they made all those characters in MU I think I would be quite content with my collection.

X Factor set

Thanks for anyone who can help a new collector
Those are going to be tougher to come by. I would try your lcs (local comic shop). Sites like this are good, but you will need to become an active member. Contribute to the flow of the site and pages etc. if you do that you'll find it easier. Also, check the bst thread on this site.

I recommend using the zip up plastic bags you can find in the beads/jewelry aisle at Walmart or you can find them at craft stores like Michaels and Hobby Lobby. I still believe keeping toys at room temperature is more important than what type of plastic bags you use though.

You mean for the rust of metallic parts, or for the paint? That's something quite interesting.
I don't have the courage th check my old Joes at mom's attic, too afraid to make the rubber band break if I look at them

Toys are mainly made of plastic, which can yellow/degrade due to high temperatures or crack at low temperatures. I am sure metallic parts can rust easier in high humidity areas (I guess a de-humidifier would help). I have never known any issues with paint other than it being scratched off due to play wear.

The X-Factor set at least should be easy. TRU still has tons of those on clearance for $35.

Thanks everyone for the input. All my toys comics are stored in a dark cool room with no chance of sunlight. I just had read some bags are toxic and can destroy loose toys but I am good now thanks again

some of my old 90's era star wars toys that are in package had yellowing of the plastic bubbles and there stored in my guest room, no sunlight no temp problems all in the same box, there dose not seem to be any rhyme or reason as to which ones yellowed, I'd say it was maybe 1 in 40. the only guess I have is they occasionally change the plastic they use on the packaging. I don't know any way to stop it.

Man, I'm seeing a drought in my area. Not just of MU figs - there' hasn't been anything new of those since the last time I bought something either - but I haven't seen any Man of Steel 3.75ers yet of the Leatherhead/Baxter/Snakeweed wave of Turtles or anything Wolverine related, either. Other than some MoS movie masters, literally everything I've seen has been the exact same thing for a couple of months.

I don't know it's been like Hanukkah around here. I have seen the Man Of Steel figs and Beast wave of MU plus XFactor and GotG sets, lots of GI Joe sets, the Wolverine line of 5 point articulation monstrosities and more.

Thanks for the tip. I went to TRU and snagged a set And I will be contributing more. I've just started collecting so I'll be relying on advice from collectors and such. My TRU had nothing other than the FF Box set and X-Factor set. My LCS doesn't have much either so it's off to e-bay I go for now. I'll just be taking my time making sure I get a decent deal

Your other list was mostly hard to get stuff, but if you are looking to fill out the basic characters, I know a lot of us have extras. Saves you money rather than ebay.

Anyone have Maria Hill able to tell me roughly the size(small, medium, large) of her head compared to other female heads?
thinking about ordering one for a custom project but I don't want to pay $8 just for a head if its too large.

Just got this fantastic Schleich castle for 50 euros from a kid who didn't play with it anymore.
The scale is perfect for the MU and I can't wait to get a Loki and some Frost Giants to do an epic scene out of it

Here's some comparison shots. It looks like it's roughly the same, but just a bit smaller than the others. Her head fits extremely loose on Jubilee's neck, there is no grip whatsoever. The neck hole is just a little too small to fit properly on Storm and Black Widow. You can squeeze the head onto their necks, but it's a very very tight fit. Hope this helps.
