Mu skrull was also a 1 per case army builder. Doesn't make sense to me either.

The reason for the elf situation IMO is that they felt more would complain about not finding Kurse and of course you can't limit the Thors in a case{sarcasm here} so someone had to be limited. Oh and of course it makes us collectors who like to army build jump thru hoops to beat the scalpers to the cases or pay their prices. Top that off with seemingly only TRU carrying the line man, no wonder the dark elves are almost extinct.

Hard to beat the scalpers to the Dark Elves when they work at TRU.

^ reading that was like a punch to the gut, I won't spoil it for those who haven't read OML but it was like reading a walking dead. @Beam I know what you mean. My local TRU will tell me they are holding something, when I go there to pick it up it's gone. I had Wednesday off (delivery day) I went right after they opened and someone had cleared out the dark elves. If it's anything like the Kurse figure I'm not gonna lose any sleep over it. Is the articulation any good on those elves? I wish they would have put the rock monster from the trailer in the toyline. Could be a fill in for Korg.

The elf has neck, shoulder, elbow{swivels too},hips, knees, and rocker ankles. The shoulder motion is hindered by the shoulderpads though. Not a design fault as much as accuracy to the movie designs. While Kurse has less than awesome articulation, still a great figure IMO and again I think movie accuracy hurts the articulation designs.

I don't know what it takes for hasbro to realize that buyers want more characters and not the main character in various looks. I see why retail and buyers are pissed with hasbro.

Finally got me Hall of Armor. Had to have a second one shipped overnight. The first one? Somewhere out in the ether, I suppose. It ain't just Hasbro. Mattel and Playmates, at least, are doing the same thing and arguably have been doing it much longer. While Hasbro's Star Wars seems to have a Skywalker or two and Kenobi at least in every wave, at least they also litter the waves with obscure characters people want (then again I'm still seeing whatever that four titted monster was at TRU burning a hole on the peg every time I'm there).

From my understanding, it is actually the big retailers (like Walmart and Target) that request multiple versions of the main characters and toy companies have to oblige to get their product sold by those retailers. As far as case assortments, I don't know if retailers or manufacturers have the final say. And if manufacturers do have final say, it is baffling why Hasbro couldn't put Vision in series 5 versus someone like Silver Surfer.

				 | Quote: @BMORR: you're killing me with that sick display man! I just started bagging almost all of my MUs for storage for a display "decluttering" until I can buy a bigger house. its a great way too see all of your MU at once. No one is hiding behind anybody. but if your going to have a modular setup like mine, be sure to get the mount well secured into the studs. over screw if you have to lol.
