I've got shelves, bur no space... I also wanted to try more of a library approach where I'd only pull small groups of figures out at a time for a rotating diorama setup that I'll change up every few weeks.

@ ultraman, your a brave man to use those glass shelves. i couldn't do it. but good man for adopting the modular shelving approach. but, if you want my opinion, get rid of the desk there and build a similar shelf setup in the corner

Great display Bmorr !
Do you have any dust issues? At first this is how I displayed my SW and MOTU but they got so dusty I had to put everyone behin some glass eventually.
I guess that's because I live in the 10th floor in the heart of Paris.
When it comes to the US, I always have the image of wide appartments with windows all opened and not a grain of dust.

Bmorr, you are a man after my own heart. Glad to see some Action Fleet love! Perfect Star Wars scale for shelves...

Does anyone know any good step-by-step way of dustproofing a Detolf? Mine has started to get dusty inside.

Yup. Unless you've got a money tree in your back yard, of course.

Star Wars is a special case, due to the [present] lack of media support for the movie characters. Basically, SW toys are almost completely driven by collectors (and more recently CW fans) so they're able to get away with more obscure characters than lines like Avengers, Iron Man, Batman or Superman.

It also doesn't hurt that Hasbro has already made multiple versions of every single "major" character in the SW films, so they have to spice things up to keep collectors interested.

Correct.

As far as case assortments, I don't know if retailers or manufacturers have the final say. And if manufacturers do have final say, it is baffling why Hasbro couldn't put Vision in series 5 versus someone like Silver Surfer.
Manufacturers have the final say for both case assortments and case ratios. But as you've already said, retailers do have some influence over those decisions. Collectors do too, but there's only so much that can be done and Hasbro can't please everyone (not for lack of trying).

As for Vision, supposedly the mold used for him has been retired (according to Hasbro). So that's why he hasn't shown up again since his translucent variant, and probably why we won't see him again unless it's a new mold (with Avengers 2, I hope).

It's an autobot referring to a lame joke about stepping on a lego. Just ignore them.
