I don't think the book intends for itself to be taken very seriously, so I doubt the ridiculousness of the costume is lost on the creators. I believe it has a force field helmet of some kind though...

Looks like HTS started putting up some ASM2 figs. Here's Electro. Looks pretty lacking in the articulation department, but he does light up. #gimmicky

Guess that explains the head. Sounds like she needs a helmet.

There is one issue of FF where Darla tries to find what helmet would suit her. Quite funny, I will try to find the picture. EDIT: Here it is:

Well, I wouldn't say it's horrible, but it does look more like a comic strip than a comic book. I still thought it was pretty funny. I loved all the references, too.

Okay, back from Tokyo! First, I have been able to meet with my NY-based friend who delivered me the gift-pack with Carnage etc... from Spider-Man, as well as 10 Hydra soldiers who were on sale for 3$ each on Amazon! Then I began to hunt some figs, but no luck... I found the Elektra-Rhino wave for 18$/p in a toy and electronics store, and began to get desperate...too bad I'm not much in Transformers anymore Until I found this shop in Tokyo specialized in US Toys, with a christmas sale! They had the whole Rhino wave on sale for 9$, but also some older figs and the Cloak wave! Unfortunately, they only carried Abomination and Cloak, no Dagger or A-Bomb. Fun thing is all the wave except Cloack and Abo was on sale. I bought Cloak full price since I didn't know if I'll meet him again... I went then to Mandarake, a very famous otaku-merchandise based pawn shop, where everything is "used" or "second-hand". I use to go there for cheap Figuarts shopping (price can go down to 6$ a fig for a slightly damaged box). There I found.... a Marvel Showdown Doc Ock!!! Since everyone here told about how a big deal was this line, I jumped on it even at 18$! After that, I crossed the street for a new toys pawn shop to find some older and loose MU. Took Beast and Doc Samson for 5$ each. They also had some Mysterio wave, but nothing I didn't get yet. The next day, I went to a big videogame shop to buy games for a friend, when, on the toy corner, I found this: The full wave, with both Cloack AND Dagger, Abo AND A-Bomb, on the same shelf. I don't know how works the distribution outside of USA, but I think I was extra-lucky to find this kind of assortment. I only bought Dagger though since Abo and A-bomb are "ugly figures" and shall be on sale next time I go to Japan as was Rhino compared to last September. I hope they'll get the Aurora wave next year as well!

Display update in order to fit the SHIELD team in my main MU section. BTW, for folks that asked, I got the headcasts from Glassman Customs, but you can pick them up from other casting sites as well. Just buy 'em and get your paint on! =) |

Thanks uk! It's actually a custom of my wife as a SHIELD agent... we watch the show together, so I painted the figure up and gave her a back story as Melinda May's trainer/rival from their academy days... lol.

It does suck bro..... but I have come to terms with it and will just have to rebuild. The 3 pack tru are expensive!!! I just used NICK FURY mail aways ($15 each from HTS) and had a VORTIOUS cast me some troop heads. I will use 10 more of those spread out over the next year, but i will be making customs instead. Win win I guess..... still sucks though.
