Should I point them to the ninja turtles aisle as an example of what could be done (core characters always available but with a wide variety of supporting characters, vehicles, play sets, mini play sets, etc.)?

Should I try to convince them they can cater to kids and collectors at the same time (maybe 15 points of articulation, generic body styles with minimal new tooling for figs, but also a wider character selection.)?

Should I yell at them for not letting people know what figures are in each case?-(I believe variants do more to hurt collectors and help secondary markets, which Hasbro doesn't get a piece of--just tell people what toys you are selling and let them buy them instead of the running change guessing game bs)
There answer for 3 Iron mans and so on will be that retailers want them. Same with the variants. I've talked to a Hasbro rep and all he did was blame the retailer saying if they put more of non traditional character then retailers won't order as many. They would rather have iron mans peg warming than let's say falcon or gladiator

I can see that logic, but it's not as if that iron man is hard to find, considering it has already been a single pack, part of a 3 pack, attached to an avengers base, and recently repainted. Even including it in the case isn't the worst thing, it's packing it 3 times and leaving a brand new figure (with new tooling costs) at 1 per case.

That doesn't factor in the recent assemblers and 5 poa figures of iron man still hanging around. Targets around me just started clearancing iron man 2 toys.

Once again, look at the turtles. Main characters are always available, but they aren't overloaded to the point they choke the pegs.

Maybe Hasbro needs to steer retailers a bit more to making better decisions.

I think Hasbro and Mattel could learn from what Bandai has acheieved with the Collectors aimed toyline for the Power Rangers anniversary.

If they had made a new Iron Man, like Marvel Now or something, three per case wouldn't sting as bad.

or three DIFFERENT iron men. much more incentive to collect when theres the chance to further build up a collectors existing armory.

There's a genius idea. No way Hasbro would ever hook it up like that.

3 Iron Man's in a pack is no good at all.

By my count there are roughly 54 Avengers that have never been made in 3.75 size. This does not include Young Avengers, original GOTG, allies of the Avengers, variants, New Warriors, etc.

That's a lot of characters. and here we are with Iron Man clogging up the aisles.

I thought the "rebranding" idea was lame. Just a cop out by Hasbro.... but then, after just seeing these, WOW! Now the MU packaging looks ugly and boring to me all of the sudden!!!

Well done Hasbro.... you got something right!!! The package looks great and should tempt little hands to buy them which means more turnover for more figures for collectors!!!

Now if they only worked on the case assortment and distribution problems we would be golden!!!

Even that tired old Iron Man looks great in his new box!

Eh the cards are normal if anything, I still prefer the other ones, and I thought these would be as nice as the Legends, but with less artwork you would think these wouldn't go up in price then.

Hasbro really need to work in the distribution, there are only 2 stores that get Marvel Universe figures in my city and they just get 3 cases, for my luck, at least 10 people collect Universe here, so I always talk with the boss of one of those stores, he knowks me and always save a case for me when i needed, thats how it works in my country but its difficult

I didn't expect to see the Marvel logo so big. It looks less like a re-branding than I though it would. New packaging? Yes. Re-branding? Not so much. Everyone looks awesome! Is Cap a lighter shade of blue than the previous sculpt release?
