Nice one Raf, that's just about the best way to do it.

No way we can predict the curve on Vision I guess. I hope the re-release it on the newer buck with the ankle rockers and thigh swivels, that would just be a better figure. More valuable? For me, yes, for a more hardcore collector/investor? Who knows!

Be Honest!
I would.

But if I owned it, that would also mean I paid retail for it and therefore opening it wouldn't bother me in the slightest.

Jackie boy.....Had him open with in three minutes of opening the package he arrived in! Was nice tearing into a MOC Vision with reckless abandonment and chucking the card. I let my son Blaze do it.

These are the moments that we.collect for.

I buy new shoes and walk in the mud too.... that's just me. I appreciate the MOC collectors.out there.... they are preserving our future. That is important. I like having a collection for my boy. He takes such good care.of them too. Always in acid free plastic bags, he doesn't.want dust in the joints.and refuses to display so they don't get ruined. His words.

^ That's the way to do it ukmu! I opened an Old Man Logan and let my kids play with him and banner jr. You convinced me to go after a solid vision with no cape on ebay yesterday, my max bid was $51.77, of course he sold for $52.77 lol. That would have been the most I've paid for 1 fig so I am kind of glad I lost out.
I open 90% of my stuff, rarely will I keep something MOC. I realized that if I keeled over and died of a heart attack tomorrow I would have wanted to open these guys. To quote Paul Rudd ant-man in 40 Year Old Virgin "You gotta open it up, play with it a little." I do admire the patience and will power of MOC collectors, I always wanna see what's in there especially when some lines hide accessories behind the card art.

I only have an MOC collection because those are the figures I haven't had time to open yet. I've got a backlog of three-four years' worth from before my twins were born. I've just been too busy with family and going back to school!

exactly. I have nothing against MOC guys. I have spares I keep MOC but I think toys should be played with or posed. I do like knowing that people go MOC because then I known can find a quality replacement in 10 years if I need one.

what I will never you understand is MISB guys when there is no window to see the item. You can't enjoy a box that much and you really don't know what you have. Is it broken? Missing parts? A clever reseal with junk in the box?

Something that's sealed in a box, ruined by battery corrosion? If you can see the item and verify authenticity but sealed items? No chance for me.

yeah, anything with batteries installed will be damaged if it they aren't removed. Some people still go for that for some reason though.

Only if you were a Hasbro employee would you get it for free or at the most regular price. That's my point, none of us would find this fig on retail because it never made it that far so I believe that nobody would open it because if you own this fig, it means you paid much more than retail for sure.

Old man logan and Vision are CHEAP compared to what the three holy grail figs I mentioned before are being sold for. That's my point! Same type of figures but different categories, rare, rarest and holy grails. That's why I don't believe anybody will open those 3 figs, I know I'd never do it, It's throwing money away amigos! IMO

I still think someone would pay high prices for the cage even if he were opened. Not nearly as much as sealed though. Would just be a matter of authenticating (which would be harder). A fake would be hard to get exactly right on Cage for sure. And the Black Widow head would have to cast from an original to pass. I don't think that head has made it out anywhere else, has it?

Right, yeah I personally haven't seen any here in the U.S. and if you look closely on each side of her face there are openings simulating her ears, I assume (I'll take a pic of that when I get home to show you) this would make it harder to replicate. But when in doubt... always look at the 5 digit physically imprinted numbers (that I always talk about) on the back of the card (lower right hand side). Those numbers don't lie my friends!

Assuming I had the funds just lying around to buy her at current value, I'd probably still open her. But again, that's just me. Nothing wrong with wanting to keep carded figures on the card or boxed figures in the box - regardless of how much they cost you.

Also the definition of "holy grail" is highly dependent on the priorities of the collector in question. One collector might call it a grail, while another collector will say it's just a cup.

I prefer to call it a chalice.

Okay, so I can confirm this is definitely that last revision case. I saw them stocking the shelved and watch them pull these out. It's Aurora, not Northstar just like the last ones I found. If people were buying a case only to get him you can probably cancel. However this is an awesome casepack as you get Cloak/Dagger and Abomb/Abomination in one case. Plus some other rarer figures and if you don't have them it's worth the price.

I was surprised to find they were on sale for like $8 even though the ad only sales Cap stuff is on sale. I left for someone else to grab.

^^^^^I hope that this is just a sad coincidence that northstar was not in there.

I will also keep my fingers crossed that my LCS will be able to make magic happen....

This is the second case I've seen with Aurora and no Northstar. I've seen at least three other reports from Canadains finding Aurora. Most of them don't know the casepack as they are still looking for Omega Red. Anyway, if these are hitting and Northstar isn't on ebay or available from China I'd say he isn't coming. In two recent interviews the Hasbro brand manager said he wasn't sure if Northstar would be in these last cases and if he wasn't that he would make a note for the team to look for another place to release him.

That's so weird if they fumble and don't get Northstar out. Hasbro's got distribution issues, especially with Joes, but they're usually on the ball with stuff like this. They almost always get the right figures into the cases, at least.

The only way we'll know for sure is when someone is selling him on Ebay then.

We have yet to see any hint of him anywhere. I suppose he would make for a good exclusive somewhere but it sounds like they haven't given him much thought. Possibly they cost was higher to do a run of him rather than Aurora?

Dammit Canada. There are literally zero stores in this area that carries MU these days.

I feel it will be that way again very soon up here. Wal-Mart and Target already dropped it. These are probably TRU's last order from Hasbro before the MI stuff comes in. Probably why they are on discount even though they're not in the flyer.

wtf! why does hasblow do this to us? I think they have a running gag/joke with the mu collectors. they probably sit in an office and go "let's show this fig at a con and then never release it. let's see how many nerds send us complaints." bastards!!!!...

Places around here stopped carrying MU except for leftover stock before Electra wave... completely removed all sign of the series when that went away. So other than Colossus, I've never seen any of the figures you've got in your photo outside of a Comic Shop.
