^ no problem. I just hope I don't happen to blink on Monday at 9:12 am or whatever the hell time black widow and wasp are in stock. I hope hasbro makes more of these things so the prices go down and hasbro can make more profit. Every time I stop at Fred Meyers wasp is gone and someone hides grim reapers and hulks under a cap frisbee shield. Still no AI figs at target here.

Grabbed these because TRU (Canada) is having buy one get one free on all $10.99 Marvel figures today and tomorrow. Hopefully those mashers will sell through because of this. If they had an Iceman I would actually buy one. Left Black Knight, Mysterio, Cloaks, Zemos, Novas, Rhinos, and multiple Colossus figures behind.

Tons of Kurse. I went to Target to see if they would price match and I was going to buy up their Dark Elves (10 of them) but they said they don't price match BOGO deals. After looking at their policy basically you have to bring in a printed ad with exactly the item you want shown and an exact price listed. So basically they never price match toys I guess...

Raph, I think you missed the series 1 silver surfer, there's a silver version and a matt silvery-grey I saw those two when the line first dropped the difference is fairly striking, one was in the first shipment and the other had an "exclusive Nick Furry" sticker on the bubble.

^ Also, with the 5 digit physically imprinted number on the back of the cards it should be easy to find the two versions.

Trying to get rid of some clutter:
![]() $30 shipped MOC or $25 shipped loose in the US. ![]() Still got one more Wasp. Looking for a Dark Avengers (Karla Sofen) Ms. Marvel in trade. Thanks! ![]() $9 shipped in the US for this stuff. Be warned though that it all has a pretty strong smoke smell. Lots of Marvel Showdown stands though for anyone who doesn't mind the smell, plus a capeless Mole Man. Really, I just wanna get rid of it. |

So I picked up the newer MU Cap since he had been hanging at Target for a while and I was still looking for a definitive Captain America.
Great figure, wish the shield still included straps but finally a definitive Cap figure. wouldn't mind a modern deco(combat boots, etc) on this base. |

^I thought the same thing about the new Cap's lack of shield straps. It's pretty tough to get it to stay on his wrist. You so much as touch it, it's gonna fall off.
I'm probably gonna put some custom straps on there, so it'll stay better and so I can put in on his back as well. Anybody done this or have suggestions? Last edited by mdewater; 03-29-2014 at 04:35 PM.. |

I've never spent over $20 on any single carded figure. and being I started late in the game is why I don't own blade, solid vision and the 1st punisher released. the two that escaped me due to scalpers were baghead and miles spidey. just hope I can find northstar and x-force nightcrawler as some point so all I need to worry about are variants, invaders box set, goliath, taco truck and a few random from other marvel 3.75 series such as anti-venom and shocker from the spidey line...
Quote:
i understand in some cases why people need to sell above retail, its a combination of things really.and i have shelled out big for certain figures>>>giantman, old man logan, solid vision, deadpool taco set.so will i sell those at retail?i dont think so.
no ones gonna hold that against you if you have rarities from the toybiz legends/FF/Hulk/Spiderman lines or certain BAF's i held on to a couple of toybiz legends/hulks,because there is a market for them.this whole business of picking up the latest legends at $20 and selling for $40 is not right, likewise with the latest MU. Quote:
That's how I felt when I got mine. That's how I started a loose collection. I wanted it to be displayed. Vision is such an awesome marvel universe figure. I'm sure people who passed on him are kicking themselves I know when I wasn't collecting I saw them at target peg warming years so yes I kick myself
Quote:
Quote:
I never knew it until I held him... but Vision's cape has glitter in it and sparkles like a diamond in the sun. He is so shiny too. Almost need sunglasses looking at that candy apple green paint in the sun. You don't get just how shiny he is seeing indoor shots taken under lights. He sparkles like a hot rod at a car show he is so shiny. Can actually see your reflection in that green paint!! Also his cape is super soft plastic... unlike the other caped MU guys, at least the ones I have so far.
Don't pass on Vision anymore guys.... he is going to go up in value each passing year. You will see him YEARS later for 1000 and tell your grand kids you could have picked him up for 80... He is simply beautiful. I waited for two years and when I got, it did not disappoint. Just the opinion of a guy in England, but I thought I would share it with you. Quote:
Aye. He fully liven's up your collection. Vision is one of my favorite characters to begin with, but my little Marvel army felt 'complete' when I finally had him.
I put it off for over a year, cringing at those prices. I ended up paying just shy of 200$ for him (after duty fees and shipping), but I haven't regretted it for a moment. The minute I had Wanda, I couldn't not have Vision anymore, hahaha. I suppose, he might not be a 'must have' for everyone though. Why, I'll never understand. It's Vision! He's a cornerstone of the Avengers. Quote:

Over the last few years, I have never been more thankful that I just happened upon a Vison in the store way back around when he was first released. Who would have thought he'd be the holy grail of the line, barring exclusives. If I'd known that I might not have ever opened him. But then again I could not have him to display either.
And then also a couple of years ago to just find a translucent one as well was just the icing on the cake. Quote:
Depends how much people paid I guess. He has one of the best (if not the best) paint jobs of the entire line. Plus his cape is one of the nicest (next to Adam Warlock's - my personal fave).
Nice list! I still think most peeps would want Vision though, since all the others are minor variants of easier to find figures... just my opinion. Quote:
Quote:
If you're an MOC completionist, then your list totally makes sense. But for collectors who don't care about figure/packaging variants, I would agree that Vision tops the list of MU most-wanted/holy grails.
In my case, I have Cage, DD v1, Widow, Cable w/o Hope and Scarlet Spider. I don't care about the other versions of those figures, as long as I have a version in my collection. Vision is the only one you mentioned that I don't own (and probably never will since I refuse to pay more than retail for any MU figure). Also remember, holy grails aren't just the super rare or ultra hard-to-find figures. Rarity does play a factor, but desirability is the driving force. And not everyone will ever agree on what is or is not desirable enough to be called a holy grail. Quote:
The answer to my question is why not??? So I humbly ask you... WHY??? Yes, I want to know exactly why do you want it, why?? I want to know what VISION means to you, I want to know what your (MOC or Loose) collection is like without VISION? I want to humbly (don't be shy) know what you economic situation is? I want to know how hard it is for you to get VISION? ETC... Be creative, but most importantly, be honest! Think about it, think hard. I will give you until Saturday, April 12, 2014 to tell me by either posting you answer here in these thread (which I prefer) or PM me your answer as a last resort but don't be shy to post it on this thread my friends! I promise you I will read every post very carefully and when I am done, I will choose the best one of them all (there is no right or wrong answer my friends, be yourself and speak the truth) and the chosen one will be rewarded dearly... Yes, the winner will get a brand spanking new Marvel Universe 3.75' Non-variant, original, number 006, series 2 VISION figure... FREE!!! Why you ask? Because I freaking feel like it that's why! (plus I have 3, LMAO). Consider this your X-Mas in July (or in this case late March, Lol) TWO RULES: 1) It is open to current TOYARK Members ONLY. No new TOYARK Members, (sorry, it's only fair). Only current existing member (and I know who you are). 2) If you already have one don't be that guy or gal and try to get another one. Help your ARKERS out and don't participate if you already have one please (and I know who's who because I read older posts my friends). And here is your MOC VISION!... ^Class act man.
I'm just going to say that I don't really want Vision. I want a BETTER Vision than what we got. I have the phasing variant and he fills my Avengers shelf quite nicely for now. I will say that the one thing I feel sets Vision apart, and makes him worth a look in the first place, is the fact that he has one of the most vibrant color schemes we've seen in MU and they did such an excellent job with his paint apps. I've only seen a few that looked to have any noticeable problems. I feel that when we do get a Vision on a new buck he sadly isn't likely to have colors as nice as these. Hope I'm wrong about that. I think there are basically 3 reasons to own the figure, 1) You love Vision as a character. 2) You are a MU completest and love having those highly sought after figures. 3) You want something on your shelf that really stands out in a way few figures do. Like I said, I've already got one I'm happy with so that's just my two cents. Look forward to seeing you make someone's day in a few weeks.

If they made a new Vision they might use the Jonas character design from Young Avengers... might.
