It is sad that they gave us a fan poll just to guage how well future release will be recieved. Just like Facebook doing research through the Rainbow profile picture, companies these days get realtime data by hiding what they are after in Marketing ploys. I don't really mind it in this case, because it gives all the people who voted for anyone but Dormammu a chance to get what they wanted. The funny part is how since Gamora "Won" she will most likely be the last to be released, where as all the "losers" will be flooding the pegs early next year.
But hey at least we now understand what we are looking at when it comes to fan polls, which means Legends have a lot to look forward to. |

Choice is the real enemy. Hasbro knew who and what they planned. I do the same with children, letting them think they "chose" whatever it was that I was planning on doing anyway. It is like that scene in Avengers in Germany. Hasbro is Loki and the fans are the people....KNEEL!!!
It is exactly what it is supposed to be I guess. I am not always happy with their choices or their products, but I am grateful to part of the community.

3.75" Lockjaw.... Sweet
That Gamora is a slap in the face ![]() I think the MU version of The Vision just went up, again. I really think that Northstar and Colosonaught are ghosts. They say yes, but the waves look pretty full and busy already. Something will have to be pushed back. Two Packs return, cool... but how much each? Marvel News Reviews Images and more - MarvelousNews.com Quote:
it's the labor, not the plastic. I would imagine it takes about the same number of man hours to produce a 3.75" figure as a 6" one, you cut two points of articulation that take an individual 3 seconds per unit to assemble (6 seconds there), and 8 seconds to strip from the mold (I'm just talking production not tooling) multiply that by 500,000, that alone on one figure is 1945 man hours at lets say 5$ an hour that's $9725 saved by cutting one joint. China's emerging middle class has seen an average pay increase in the last six years of nearly 400% (as an example, Chinese consumer desire for gold jewelry, something the average Chinese citizen could not afford ten years ago, is one of the primary drivers of increased gold prices recently) that coupled with the slump in the US economy has lead to a sort of "leveling out" of the previous standard of living disparity between the US and China that gave us cheep labor to produce cheep goods. My guess the next decade will see the factories move to India where you still have a large pool of people willing to work for next to nothing and our prices for consumer good will drop again.

Holy Crap. I guess I should be thanking Hasbro/Marvel/Disney for saving me so much money next year, but on the other hand it's kind of sad when freaking Living Laser (!!) is the ONLY figure I have on my near 100+ figure wish list that's being made. And he's way towards the bottom.
I don't know even know what to say to this lins anymore. I think it's clear my future involvement with it will be minimal. Haha love that comment, great point though, but isn't the street walker outfit in an exclusive set, that could be why...while the 3.75 trying to cater to both adults and kids... |

I almost forgot about the new Vision. I am glad it's the Young Avengers Jonas design instead so people with the original can keep the distinction but other people, myself included, can actually have a Vision in our collections.

Yeah, I don't think the street walker outfit will make it to 3.75 retail. Shows too much skin. Legends is getting the figure in an exclusive, but it is being packaged wearing a giant cloth poncho that hides her entire body and a fishnet design has been added to cover her open chest.

haven't been around lately so not sure what all of the Gamora posts were about but are you all talking about the 3.75 Gamora in the White outfit with the Sword coming out with Rage and Living Laser?

It's so hard to find Ladypool and Championpool loose for a decent price. Speaking of the Deadpool Corps, does anyone have a Funko Pop Deadpool Taco Truck so I can see how it looks against regular 3 3/4" figures?
