I just received my Emma Frost and Chameleon from BBTS, and I have got to say that the Chameleon is a REALLY nice figure...
...for just standing there on a shelf. Holy crap that has to be the single most useless hip articulation I've seen on a figure in a LONG time. You get better hips from a 90s-era figure than this guy. Geez. Fortunately, 'just standing there' tends to be the norm on my shelves, but still... unfortunate. Especially given the availability of the Professor X body. |

Hi guys; sorry been inactive most of this week; love all the photos and the creativity (great picture Mutantkind). Got to say, what an incredible Dr. Strange custom! I loved that comic series and really liked his casual outfit passing on the supreme title.
Guys, currently there is terrible things going on the world. The people of all nations are angry and love is scarce. This thread brings a small joy, an outlet to plug into once in awhile and share my hobby with like-minded people. I guess i'm a little emotional and some of the things going on lately between us folks; well, aren't we all friends in some unspoken way? I know we don't know each other personally, some do; what a gift to find people of many nations coming together to share a hobby together. Love you guys. |

You were entirely wrong about this: Quote:
they have a standing embargo on US consumer goods, and I doubt Russia would have a problem confiscating your collection and throwing you in jail for having them. so to collect American toys in most of Europe is hard, but doing it in Russia would be basically like trying to collect heroin, cocaine, and human slaves in the US. you certainly wouldn't put your collection on ebay for the world to see.

Sorry if it hurts peoples feelings, but there are parts of the world in really bad financial situations where I would propose, there are not a lot of people with the disposable income to collect things they can't eat or stab someone with. It does make me smile to picture a yak skin hut in Mongolia with MU figures pined to the walls, but I think it's pretty rare.

Wait, you just called me commie??? Do you even begin to understand how insulting it is to us? And PLEASE stop putting us in the same bag with Russians.
True, no debate about it. You were entirely wrong about this: Nope, I would not want to live in Russia, with their ex-KGB president, failing oil-dependent economy, controlled media etc. I never said that Russia is fine or utopia even. What I tried to tell you is that even in Russia there are MU figures available and it is possible for collectors to exist over there. You are right about Mongolia. However we are talking about Russia with its 240,000 dollar millionaire households and 88 dollar billionaires. And yes, we can agree that it is rare (compared to US), but it is possible. In your little corner of the world You could roll around the globe And never find a warmer soul to know Oh I saw you by the wall Ten of your tin soldiers in a row With eyes that looked like ice on fire The human heart a captive in the snow Oh Nikita you will never know, anything about my home I'll never know how good it feels to hold you Nikita I need you so Oh Nikita is the other side of any given line in time Counting ten tin soldiers in a row Oh no, Nikita you'll never know Do you ever dream of me Do you ever see the letters that I write When you look up through the wire Nikita do you count the stars at night And if there comes a time Guns and gates no longer hold you in And if you're free to make a choice Just look towards the west and find a friend Oh Nikita you will never know, anything about my home I'll never know how good it feels to hold you Nikita I need you so Oh Nikita is the other side of any given line in time Counting ten tin soldiers in a row Oh no, Nikita you'll never know Oh Nikita you will never know, anything about my home I'll never know how good it feels to hold you Nikita I need you so Oh Nikita is the other side of any given line in time Counting ten tin soldiers in a row Oh no, Nikita you'll never know Nikita counting ten tin soldiers in a row Nikita counting ten tin soldiers in a row Nikita counting ten tin soldiers in a row Nikita... |

I used a program to convert the site into an app. I'm using it to type this right now. If anyone wants in I can send you a link.
Anyways, @mutantkind, can you shop this so that the skin matches the rest of the body? ![]()

Can we actually do that? I'd imagine that it's not too hard.
EDIT: He's pretty active on Twitter. It's not like a million people a day tweet to him so it shouldn't be hard for him to notice a tweet that's sent to him. I've got quite a few questions and I'd rather ask the big man himself than rob Raf's house and open up the goods myself. Quote:

Also I did some traveling this summer around the U.S. and stayed in Baltimore for a few weeks, in May and later in August and September. It seemed like every day someone was shot, stabbed, or bludgeoned to death in the city... You can imagine how unsettled I was when some guy on the D.C. subway got right behind me and the Mrs. and whipped out his... man pistol. The probable genocide in Syria and with the world economies all wonky/unstable, I hope we are not in for another major conflict. I've read some things recently that think with history repeating itself we may be in for another global war. I hope they are wrong. Anyways I am way off topic. Now that I FINALLY have my Emma Frost.. there is one piece of unfinished business from what we were promised... best samson impression here.. where is my friggin bastich Skurge! |

I'll have to sign up for twitter and ask him some day. I wonder what he's doing these days. Vonner > Stall
I know this is a thread about toys, but maybe the maturity level can be upped a little bit. I love this thread and the diverse nature of the people who are on here. I think we are all better than some of the name calling and meanness on here. Let's all do our best to play nice. Kostej, I wasn't calling you a commie at all man, your the one that jumped down my throat at the suggestion that Russia is probably not the best place to sell pop culture merchandise, I very clearly stated Russia several times, RUSSIA not you, now that said if you'd like to defend Russia's greatness I'll gladly debate you all day. My grandmother had to flee her home in the early 50's because of those glorious social engineers, so I have enough perspective on the communist machine to know it's not quite as dismantled as we'd like to think. back to the topic... has anyone seen anything at retail past the Bishop wave? |

As for myself, I simply called you out for being a smartass and getting shown up when you were trying to sound like an authority on the subject. I showed you about as much class and respect as you showed Kostej. Fair enough? I'm all for being nice and pleasant but I will never regret or apologize for dealing with people in the same manner as they choose to express themselves. I think that sums it up for me on this subject, if you all should feel the need to pile on me to defend your forum buddy I have no qualms with that and will just let it go. Back to toys! Where the hell is my Emma wave?! |

Ya. Someone on eBay hooked me up with the X-Men Origins Deadpool weapons. I bought Deadpool loose from a comic store without his other accessories like the guns, and the sai. I was a kid back then, so $40 for a Deadpool seemed like a good price xD Luckily, my dad knocked it down to $30.
How the hell do you determine if a Deadpool is legit. He's probably the most bootlegged 3.75" figure out there. Mine has all the Hasbro 2008 copyright stuff under his foot.

Now $30 is more than he's worth, especially if it's a Bootleg, and incomplete loose with that, so you were had there.

Why do you care? Unless it's an obvious Bootleg, surely it doesn't matter. I got a Bootleg Legends BAF Red Hulk for less than $19; he's no worse quality than the Legends figure.
Now $30 is more than he's worth, especially if it's a Bootleg, and incomplete loose with that, so you were had there. |

He'll do it later. He's currently interrogating David Vonner for the Orange Foom. Word around the campfire is that he's threatening to burn Vonner's collection.
