DAMN....i CAN'T be the only one here who from time to time can't remember which figures they actually own ..SMH.. sometime i'm looking at a fig and am like.."do i have that". I guess it's from looking at so many damn figures all time. I've bought a figure or two before also that I already owned.

That happens to me with Iron Man armors. I see something that doesn't look familiar and get excited only to find out, "Oh, I've got that." I DO know I'm missing the 3.75" Stark Racing armor though. Beyond that there may be more but I'd need to verify pretty closely. |

That is why I enjoy just buying the same figure over and over. It is called army building but in reality it is just so I don't have doubles of characters!

Could one of you marvel technical geniuses do me a favor? If normal life size scale is 3.75" then what size would MODOK, Arnim Zola and Groot need to be? I really appreciate any help.

Assuming I've done the math correctly... M.O.D.O.K. (height: 12 feet) -- 1/18th scale is 8 inches Arnim Zola (height: 5'10") would be about the same height as normal figures. Groot (height: 23 feet) -- 1/18th scale would be roughly 15 inches. That's his original height, btw. His current height seems to be variable so whatever scale you like seems like a good way to go. It's for the above reasons that I'm good with using the BaF for both Groot and M.O.D.O.K. |

I love our line, but sometimes when we put TB Legends and BAFs next to them they don't look as good. The amount of detail in TB's Legends and Showdown figures has never been matched by Hasbro. I was two seconds away from picking up the MODOK BAF, but I really felt as if he would make the rest of the figures look bad. His level of detail and shading are top-notch IMO. So for Modok I went with the 5" Toybiz Ironman line. His arms and legs scale very well and he is a good deal larger than most 3.75 figures. I also gave mine a custom paint job, so others may not want to do all that. I also made my Groot from a Legends AIM Soldier, but I wish I would have waited for Starlord, since you basically only need a head. Sometimes I feel like the Groot BAF is too big even for the other Legends. I like everything except his legs they seem like they just keep going up. The only BAFs I'm currently using are: Mandroid - It looks like the right size for a 3.75" figure to be inside of it Mojo - His BAF isn't overly washed or shaded. His skin is really the only detailed portions and his scale is perfect. The 5" version is way too plastic looking for that one to work, but a paint wash would do wonders. I do have some others, but they are displayed with my MCU legends. |

Truthfully, I agree with Groot being close to too big to scale well with these guys. But I measure a lot of my larger characters against the movie Hulk figure I use. And having a Groot that's shorter than that Hulk seems wrong. And the use of the older MODOK figure is great, especially with a new paint job. He's a great looking figure if you don't want or like the BaF, and he's fairly easy to find. Like you K Dub, I use the Mandroids and the Mojo BaF figures as well. |

				 | Quote: Ursa.....great display as always my man!!!! You never disappoint!!! As for the $100 figure....There have been several great suggestions, but there is (in my opinion) only one figure in that range that almost no one has. The figure with the confirmed lowest production number actually produced under the branded MARVEL UNIVERSE name and packaging. Even Raf does not have this figure! The list a few posts up from Raf is perfect, a lot will have the ones (if not all) that they want.....But the gem you hardly see is a factory (non custom) Maria Hill. She is quite hard to find, I have helped people find her several times though. She is a real joy. Easily one of the favourite pieces in our collection. There are those that don't agree but she is a great figure. I would buy a ticket to that ride. |
