I'm convinced that it is probably Quasar and Rogue. That's a really big hair spike, though. And if anyone wants a short-haired Quasar, maybe paint Hydro-Man's head blond.
I think Hydro-Man has legs. The dark color extending down just looks like legs. The base may not be a "dress," but could just be an "apron" to lower cost. Plus, they (or we) could recast it in orange for a flame base - see how the wavelets are pointing up and not down?

I'm leaning towards on Storm for the mystery figure. Or at least turn it into a Callisto custom?

I had another thought on the mohawk figure. What if it's Bendis-Dazzler. GUH. I would gladly take Disco Dazzler or Australian Outback Dazzler either one, but if it's Bendis punk goth Dazzler I'm going to be annoyed.

Thanks a lot UKMU
A couple more days and we can finally know which are the other two figures.... Aside from that, is Hasbro making just 4 figures in this wave? because in wave 1 we have 6 figures coming

I'm going to guess repacks or repaints, slight retools of existing characters/costumes.

Gamora Armored version Living Laser Rage Armored Spider-Man Also I'm wondering about the rumored Executioner and Daredevil that were showing up in rumor lists earlier this year, wondering if they may also be part of Wave 2 or 3. |

I like the way hasbro is revealing wave 3, it's kind of exciting to speculate and guess. It's nice to see hasbro putting some consideration and effort into the line. Now I really want that I heart yoga pants rogue.
Also stopped by TRU this morning to pick up pie face game and as I was browsing there was a regional sales rep from hasbro who commented on the pie face game. I chatted with her, nice gal. I was like what's up with the lack of articulation, distribution etc on the 3.75" stuff. She was like "the 3.75" stuff is meant for kids and the 6" stuff is for adults." I was like well I know more 3.75" collectors and adults AND kids enjoy it... I don't know many kids who can fork out $20+ for a figure. She was like "oh I know WAY more 6" collectors." It was a pleasant conversation but she was clearly on a different page as is hasbro right now, but it was nice that she listened to my thoughts and opinions and I asked her to pass them up the chain. |

The "I know WAY more 6 inch collectors" thing gotten me thinking...(and no, it did not hurt) Now, I don't know her, but she could have her words being filtered through Hasbro, and given how much they seem to favor 6 inch collectors, that could very well be one of the filtered things. Add that to how much more of a voice the 6 inch collecting community has due to YouTube and other such sites, and I think the higher ups at Hasbro have gotten the wrong idea. Dwight Stall has an agenda against this scale, according to some, so I doubt our main designer is really fighting for MU. Just a bit of speculation. I had to shorten it a bit due my phone dying, and me having to run to a charger like the 10th Doctor trying to save River Song. |

As a collector of both lines, I am pained when either the lines suffers in favor of the other. After having 6" figures for so long, they took a huge backburner 2009-2012. It sucked. It saved me money but collector wise it sucked. Now the shoe's on the other foot, and it makes me feel just as crappy.

I have said it before and I will say it again, it takes 3 things to create a successful action figure line: figures, vehicles, and playsets. Kenner proved it with Star Wars and Hasbro proved it with GI Joe. They also proved that doing vehicles and playsets for anything above 4" scale is NOT economical, the pricepoint ends up being too high. Imagine trying to buy a Flagg carrier for 6" figures at todays prices. Anything above 4" is not really a toy and not meant to be "played with." They look nice and I would if I could afford it, but I want the playset environment to pose my figures in.
Meanwhile, Northstar finally arrived. For such a fast mutant he sure took his time getting here. ![]() Shaman is moving slowly due to work, but in 2 more days I start a 2 and a half week vacation so maybe I will get him done then. CCC. |

Yeah, they gave her a pretty bad looking mohawk even though she didn't actually have a mohawk in that look and then just in general I don't think this was the Rogue most people wanted at all.
