I have been doing more lurking/catching up than posting recently. Time to respond to everyone/thing.

mordiganne, welcome to the community. You have introduced yourself well, those customs of yours are top notch. The image you have as an MJ reference was particularly satisfying. Keep up the good work, new contributors are always much appreciated.

Feyd Rautha, if no one else has, I would like to thank you very much indeed. Unless anyone on here works for Hasbro, I will bet this is the first chance for a good few weeks or months that any one of us has in getting their hands on the latest wave well before their release. I have got to admit, I was very tempted myself, but armour spidey and ant man re-release caused me to not pull the trigger. Once again, thank you for giving the community a heads up.

Ursamagnus, that is an excellent original character, I'm happy that pilk has been able to bring him to you in our beloved figure form. I'm curious, can you fill us in on his life, back story, powers? He looks cool, I'm sure the rest are equally amazing

il-cattivo, no. Just plain god damn no! Do not pay that much for her. She is a mediocre figure, at best. I was lead to believe she was 'rare' and 'hard to find'. But I remember paying above average for her, only to find her in multiple TRU stores, and after that, on eBay for an even smaller amount. I'm sure if you look around on eBay, hell, even ask some of the lovely people on here, you will be able to find her. $25 seems a bit much

Again, Heimdall will be easy to find on eBay if you search hard enough for him. Assuming you don't want his awful 'bifrost' accessory.

I never saw Heimdall at regular or discount stores. I had to buy him online. He kinda sucked. I got my Sif at a trade, but she had kind of warped legs and floppy accessories. Then I found one at TJ Maxx with the same attributes. I got her just in case. I can just give the second one if I can find her, package is trashed though.

Anyone know a good head for female Beetle?
guessing we won't see her in 3.75' despite being an easy repaint with a new head.

Mask off of Mockingbird glued to a Spidey head should work.

Nope, wrong shape. Find an old 3 ring binder, preferably white, and strip the vinyl off of it then cut your mask out of that. Also good for making capes, jackets, vests, etc.

Gypsy Moth with laminated 2 ply vinyl wings.

Custom capes for Remco Phantom and Mattel Ming figures.

Thanks much. Pilk did indeed do an amazing job on this and I'm thrilled I'm going to be able to add him to the crowd in my Avengers Mansion display. Or entomb him in a plastic prison. We'll see. ;-)

As for his backstory and such, that's covered in-depth here. I'm a big fan of the old OHOTMU books, so I like making similarly-styled pages for my own characters as well as the characters of others.

I have that set but I prefer the 3 side views to the artsy posed version, better reference for painting.

UrsaMagnus; you have such unique talents. I really enjoyed the backstory of your character. I used to make my own comics back in middle school/high school, but nothing as cool as that; so this is really creative and incredible. Awesome!

Thanks very much. Most appreciated.

I created him WAY back in high school in the mid-80s, so he has that Soviet/Cold War feel to his origin.

Uh...thanks for the quick dismissal. Actually they've been drawn differently. Remove them, cut them apart and repaint them and they would work for some artistic versions, and yes your way would work as well.

The shots I pulled up on Google were shorter and fatter. Not so much a dismissal as just what I found.

No worries. I'd actually really like an official 3.75 Lady Beetle, but I love Spdiey villains so I might be alone there.

Speaking of random Spider villains has anyone tried to make Kraven's daughter? I'm not sure if the parts even exist. I'm curious to see what her look is when she joins one of the Inhuman books in the next month or so. Not sure which title I think it's the one with Crystal in the lead.

Again from Google, I would grab an extra CM while they are out. The head, legs and arms look good. My first impression of the body was Baroness. Another thought is the brown chick from the Walmart generic military line 3 pack, already has the ponytail.

Y'know, I've only got the Warpath and X-23 in this pic and I'm not big into X-Men or X-Force, but I'll be dipped if this isn't a really neat shot that kinda makes me want to track down the rest of them. They look really good together.

The only Civil War figs I've seen in stores so far are the motorcycle 2.5 Cap and Bucky. They're always tucked away at the end of an aisle, too... Stores that even still have the 2.5 AoU still have them more prominently displayed.
