Correct there wasn't one. And yes that dark elf was damn near impossible to find for me since he was one per case. Here's an old pic of mine showing what the scarred version from vortious looks like (second to left):

I'm more about doing kit bashes and quick repaints... Just don't have the time I would like to customize anymore, which is why I'm hoping Hasbro releases that (Samson impression) bloody skurge! Also need a Hela, comic series or movie based works. Did they do a cate blanchett in this scale? She is still a fox.

There's a poor Blanchett head from Indy 4, which has the Hope van Dyne bob.
Also, I'm sure Malekith's weapon in that pic was a rifle in the film.

That's called a logical leap. DOFP does take place 10-20 years after "The Wolverine." So that's a lot of time of stories not told. The past was the 70s, and in the original timeline, he didn't get the adamantium until late 70s early 80s. Which then DOFP shows where he was captured by the Weapon X project for those events. Granted Stryker is younger in DOFP too.

Creed in X-Men 1 has been further mutated in a story we've yet to see that takes place before it. That's probably also why the full different appearance too. He's more animalistic and may not have have full memories. Though he did grab the dog tag in X-men 1, so there was some mild recollection of their connection. He's so animalistic in the first X-Men movie though, he doesn't even really speak any dialog except when Xavier possesses him.

It's hinted at in XMO:W that Creed wouldn't survive the process that gave Wolverine adamantium. So there's a mild allusion to the fact he may have still tried an endurance test at a later point or went to someone else for enhancement. That might be a story yet to come.

The X-Men continuity is a little bit of a mess, and it's also juggling the ripple effect of DOFP now too. So the majority of X1-X3 either didn't happen or happened differently now. The same is true for XMO:W. Only everything before the 70s is still continuity, everything after the 70s is different now with the ripple effects causing births to have happened at different eras as parents met sooner in some cases, possibly later in other cases.

And Deadpool is probably AU entirely. Though it could be argued that it's 10 years after the good future in DOFP.

A large chunk of the issue has to do with the writer change ups, and the director shifts, but Kinsberg is working on aligning it back together and has it flowing better from first class on up. X1-3 aren't continuity anymore anyway with DOFP's altering the time stream. So that was mostly a nod and farewell for those fans of the original. That's assuming it even was the X1-3 timeline though. It also cameo'ed Nate Grey(the mutant that was wandering the outlands). We never had a sinister movie, so there are a bunch of stories of that timeline that were never told as that cameo alone suggests.

Personally, I'd rather Marvel not get the rights back yet. Though if the next film goes onslaught, that might be the merging point for the rights. The problem if Marvel gets the rights back, is that then they'll lean on them over the larger library they've got. The larger library needs the exposure, the X-Men can stay at Fox and they can explore that side unhindered. Though there are some stories I'd love for the rights to get intermingled for (Target X) but some slight revisions make that unneeded too.

It's a toss up. We lose a lot of potential if Marvel integrates them into the MCU, but we also gain some better adaptions too. Galactus and the Fantastic 4 would be interesting over in the MCU, but tbh, the first two movies were a pretty close MCU adaption anyway. If they had followed through with the original Fan4 plan and done the silver surfer prequel, they would have fixed the Galactus cloud issue. Allegedly there was a last minute change to use the shadow because they wanted to save the bigger reveal for the Surfer's standalone movie.

Then the new one leaned heavier on material from the ultimate comics rendition.

The one thing to remember with the X-Men movies though is that the original don't have a set date. It's set to a "not so distant future." The adding historic points in the past ones is what set the dates. So the original X1-x3 can be anywhere from 2006-2030. Though DOFP's future is suggested as 2023.
Great way to explain everything!

Or they could use the Ultimate version even though it felt a bit like a Spawn/Crow knockoff.

Screw it do whatever you want and I'll watch it a dozen times in a row. But I would ask that Vengeance be involved in some way.
As long as it's not the one driving the car :P I'm fine with JB or DK.

Bryan Singer seems to not be on the Russo Brothers kind of level for that, but he did try. Other set pieces though, OMFG so good.

It genuinely makes me excited for them to do another X-Men movie. The push for a better comic feeling is definitely there. Even apocalypse was nowhere near as bad as people kept saying it was from the early photos. Though the opening to it does make one wonder how long before the Shi'ar are added to the films.

Apocalypse comes nowhere near Ivan Ooze kind of bad or purple. This film is definitely on par with DOFP, and even outdoes it in spots. They are definitely going more accurate with some changes yes, but about as many changes as the MCU had done to theirs too.

It's been becoming increasingly rare that I recommend films, but if there are only 2 films you see this year in the superhero genre, Civil War and X-Men apocalypse are it. Alex Shipp as Storm was freaking perfect too.

The best way to describe it, this is what the first 3 X-Men movies should have been if they weren't hindered by so much interference and technology constraints of the time. Fox still needs to find their "Russo Brothers" kind of action director, but I've got extreme faith in the production crew and producers now. The film really surprised me on how well handled it was overall.

They might want to consider moving the director of Deadpool itself over to X-Men. Or something. That's kind of my only complaint about the film at all. Singer does some great scenes, and the quicksilver scenes are awesome, but other spots still feel like they are missing something in the action dynamics. It teases and gives some good oomph, but it's not quite there yet in other spots. Really close though. I might be harder to please on that though thanks to RvB and other material I've been immersed in over the years that also blows Marvel out of the water up until they hired the Russos.
Seeing it Thursday myself can't wait.

Hulk was there for all of 3 issues. Hellcat and beast were more memorable members.

Well the majority of the dio is complete. I plan on making the bottom the MCU section, similar to how I had things set up before. I really like how crowded it is. To me it shows what can be done with a relatively small space and the 3.75" figures. I started picking up legends and I could never pull of a display of this scope with the larger figs.

It's penultimate because it's clearly not done yet; you can't have an Avengers without Black Widow, Ms Marvel, She Hulk, Beast etc, can't call a group of 11 greatest Avengers team when they've always had like 30 backup supers 😂

So, does anyone want to talk about the whole Captain America being Hydra the whole time thing? I don't know why everyone is exploding over it. It's obviously a fluke.

Also, Dr. Manhattan is now the man behind N52 because of Rebirth. The Watchmen, or at least Manhattan are now part of the DC continuity. It goes without saying that May has been a wild month for comic books and comic book movies.

IIRC I've got 15-20 Dark Elves and customised two to represent Malekith (have both versions of the Malekith head which I collaborated with Vortious on)and pre mutated Kurse using the GI Joe HD head (same actor). Malekith has MCU 'accurate' armour. Will try and dig them out over the weekend and take pics!

Of course Cap being Hydra is just a ploy, otherwise wouldn't he have taken down SHIELD from the inside a long time ago? Or all those times he battled the forces of Hydra, wouldn't he have pulled his punches or just not engaged them? Cap's still on the side of the US of A and good this is just a gimmick from Marvel to get people talking (hey look it worked) and maybe boost sales.

Hey we don't talk about those guys here!!! Seriously though I think it's kinda neat that they're incorporating Dr Manhattan there as their universe's creator since he leaves at the end of Watchmen with the intent to create new life elsewhere so now we know that meant creating the DC universe and its heroes. Similarly the current main Marvel universe's Living Tribunal (as a replacement to the previous one who was killed by the Beyonders during Secret Wars) is actually Adam Warlock, well an Adam Warlock.

Has to be this overall. I mean when you think about it, the Red Skull wouldn't have kept trying to kill him or take his body if he was his deep cover agent in SHIELD/Avengers.

That being said though, this might be the new post-secret wars cap america that is and his continuity was completely re-written in the aftermath. So who knows. All we do know for certain is within 5 years or so it'll get returned to normal as is the way of comics. Only two things stay nowadays. Uncle Ben and 616 Logan stay dead.
