Living Laser uses a lighter in color purple that comes closer to almost hot pink and seems more translucent than ionic WM, it might also be just a little harder of a plastic but I can't judge that too well by just holding the toys.

Shame. Would've been good for a lower leg swap if the colors had matched.

Any possibility I could see how well the Living Laser head sits on a Baron Zemo/Star Lord body(no mods)?

Please don't use sharpies on your figures. It costs less than $10 to buy black acrylic model paint and an extra fine brush and it looks far, far better.

For those looking for the Civil War Falcon check Marvel Legends 3.75? Falcon. Available Now!

They have it for around $22 not bad considering it goes for $50 on ebay and the dual packs at them are going for $35.

Off course you have to add shipping $15 or so. So for those in US may not be that cheap specially if you find them at retail. As I'm not in US and these will very hardly show up here in Portugal I have to pay shipping anyway so its a good catch for me.

The Collector set is up on eBay again! The same seller is also selling all of the figures individually. Chinabay has got their hands on them!

I personally believe you can pull off some amazing things with a sharpie, but it has to make sense.

Yeah, but that looks like they're specifically going for a comic book sketch style where using a sharpie would, as you said, make sense.

It doesn't make sense to use it for touch ups and general painting needs for figures. It gets sticky and tacky when applied to most plastics, it bleeds through things and it rubs off extremely easily. In the long run it'll just fuck up your toys more than it'll make things better.

I'll take one of those extra Carols off your hands then. I want the masked version, but I don't want the Kree uniform Cap.

Single pack = Mask-less head with short, wind-blown hair
Two pack = Red mask covering entire head with section of hair in mohawk style

The upcoming Rogue head would make a good Dreadnok, too.

Back from another vacation. Lots of posts to catch up on, but seeing some collectors leave the hobby I have to echo the posts quoted below. I'm a rather different case since I don't really care what Hasbro actually makes since I'm prone to making customs of most things they put out anyway. For a pure "buy and collect" person I can understand the frustration.

To me it all boils down to the fact that I'm really in this hobby - at this point - to make customs. I guess not having that much of an investment in what the company puts out makes the lower quality figures they're throwing out now easy to ignore. I spend a bunch of money on this hobby but it's mostly buying older figures to make customs. That I'll always do because I enjoy being creative and making new figures. If the line completely fizzled out tomorrow I'd still be making custom figures for as long as I could find parts.

Space is my one major factor. Not for these little guys, I can stick every figure I have (customs & non-customs) in a tote and put it under the bed and still enjoy the hobby. But for Legends and such, space is a huge factor which is why I never kept up with them when they dropped to just putting out two packs during their transition. That reminds me, I need to sell those things...

I just don't get why people are jumping ship on collections they've put YEARS of love and money into.

I do think that this scale will have it's time again (though it may start from scratch). In about three years the big names of the MCU are going to be done with their solo movies and the main Avengers movies - what's left is second stringers and the draw for them and their movies just is not going to be as strong. What that means is that the figures for them are not going to have as strong a following, either, and the 6 inch scale will begin to take a back burner again around 2019/2020 and this scale will once again come to the forefront. It's all cyclical.

Personally I have no intention of selling either scale of my collections but that's just me. If I lose interest in a line for a while, I just don't buy the figures, but still have what I have. Right now I'm kind of at a low myself, of the first two waves of this year I only bought Captain Marvel and Living Laser, though I did get all four of the new wave. It's a marked decrease from previous years and it's because my actual interest in the new stuff for this scale is very minimal. But I doubt it will always be that way.

Fans say they want more individualized sculpts, Hasbro does it. Fans start saying the line is in decline.

It's like everything Hasbro does to give fans what they want ends up with constant online whining when many of those choices look like they were directly listening to fans.
Ha, man this is EXACTLY why I dropped out of the G.I. Joe hobby. Such a rabid, annoying, and angry fanbase that bitched about everything under the sun. Often the very same things they were asking to have done in the first place.

I swear some people are only happy when they get to complain.

Not really a HACKS fan but you do a great job putting these together. I am looking forward to their knight based figures so I can make some historical medieval knights. Love that period of history. Hopefully they'll make more than just what they've shown so far.
