I just received Defenders of Asgard comic pack. While the figures are fantastic, one thing really got me upset. I opened the accompanying comic to find that Hasbro put not one but two advertisements for their 6 inch figure line. It is like "yeah, here you have those two little Thors, BUT WATCH THIS! Badass more detailed figures plus awesome BAF. THAT is the line you should be collecting..."

Yeah, I wish the advertising was a bit more honest. "Here, collect this line of figures that always look fantastic in pictures and videos, but when you actually hold them in your hand, they're just kinda meh, and make you wish that you had never even bothered with them."


Seriously, the only one I was ever satisfied with was Odin Wave Hawkeye.


Sooooooooo back to our actual forum topic, what the heck is with the West Coast Avengers pack on Ebay? I was just checking to compare prices with Amazon(got a birthday in about a week, which means Amazon giftcards), and the prices are weird for a complete one. I mean, I've seen just the War Machine and Hawkeye being sold for $10, but the whole pack can go to over $29! Do people really want that Mockingbird so bad? I just wanted her to make a Firestar custom(not a fan of Mockingbird).

Exar Kun is an ancient Jedi who fell to the dark side and reignited the light-side/dark-side war in the process. He has a fairly large following by EU character standards as his role in the larger narrative was significant and he set the stage for a bunch of other characters to go evil. He's one of those characters whose fanboys can get all "he's the true greatest evil" about. I don't remember the comic pack he came in being that hard to find but that was almost a decade ago.

Yeah I didn't care about those ads first but they annoy me now too especially with how bad some of the comics are. That's a good description of what happens to me when I buy a 6" figure, always disappointed after opening them... And they are trying to usher us all into that scale but it just doesn't work for me.

Yeah, Amazon and Ebay are my main comparisons. Sometimes, a figure will be cheaper on Ebay vs Amazon, other times Amazon will have a better deal, or they'll be about the same. Ebay does have a better range of products, though. Oddly enough, the Amazon price for the pack is actually better than the Ebay prices.

Anyone done a Custom Mack from AOS? I'm working on one which is almost entirely a GI Joe Retaliation Roadblock figure with a darker skin tone but I'm struggling with the shotgun axe.

Shotgun ax pretty sure one can be made from gijoe weapons mixed together. For the shot gun I suggest the rifle that usually comes with a Lt. Falcon fig as for the ax the shape is rather specific so u may have to design your own somehow. I know a couple gijoe guns have ax looking bayonets in them so if the design doesn't need to be exact u couple probly use one of those. I suggest asjing someone on his drank they probly know the guns way better there.

She's defiantly a great pick up, but I'm trying to complete the entire MU collection. I'm a super helicarrier, dark galactus, and four grails away ( white shirt cage, blond and short hair widow, and the ant man /moon knight two pack. I got swindled on a deal for a blonde widow in Atlanta at a toy show a few months ago, he didn't have it with him and he wanted some of my graded 1984 secret wars figures. He was a dealer and even showed me pics. I gave him some cash and three figures I had just bought. He sent me a regular widow that had been expertly opened, and head swapped with a three pack sue storm. It didn't even look like the pic he showed me! Any way it got ugly and I ended up getting slightly shafted in the end.

So many people give collecting a bad name.😥

Walked I'm to a local tru and saw damn near every baf from all the legends were stolen. As I'm going through the entire lot a worker literally puts up 3 more figs with the bafs missing and just shrugs when I tell him all other missing parts.
