Sorry I know this is the MU thread but have they shown any of these new articulated SW figures yet? Or when they're getting released?

At SDCC the only new figure they showed at all was Dr Aphra's digital sculpt, the rest shown were just TFA/RO repacks.

Batman '66 is $12.99 at Gamestop those have less articulation than the current Marvel.

Well that frustration should be gone now that they are no longer exclusive to Walmart.

Well the obvious solution is to not buy them at an overpriced poop house like GameStop. They're only $10 elsewhere, even online.

And if that's the way it has to go, so be it. I'd rather buy Marvel figures in those Funko styles at $10 than the current crop at the prices they are.

I feel you on a cheaper less articulated line. However, I feel the opposite some times. A premium pack for $20 with extra weapons, heads, hands and even a baf! Same thing as the 6" but in a different scale at the same price and let us, the consumer decide.

The SW vintage line is only getting a few releases a year like the Black Series does. I'm afraid it is 3.75" 5 POA for the bulk of characters. That could change, but I don't see them selling well at $15 per figure.

I probably should have specified that I meant frustration even with the basic 5poa line as well as the Wal-mart line. I've never been a completionist, so unless the new vintage line retools some of the main characters from the OT, I'll probably skip most. I'm happy that they'll be available more widely though.

I've been saying for a while that I wish MU would do what they've done with Star Wars and mimick the packaging of the 6" line. The 4" Legend line should come packages in a box similarly with accessories or some kind of BAF part and do a mix of movie and comic characters. I don't see why it wouldn't work just as well. It can't be just us that notices 4" moving off the shelves faster than 6" generally.

I am reminded of the movie Tomorrowland here....

The Galoob Trek figures had a knee joint, which meant they could sit in chairs, a step up from Mego. The Batman 66 figures have knee AND elbow joints. IMO, too many joints can negatively affect the sculpt. It is a balancing act.

Does anyone know if there were any official photos released of the Gigantic Battles two-packs from a few years back? I'm trying to find photos of the Black Goliath figure that aren't sloppy Ebay listing pics.

There was a new Rogue One troop, and they teased vehicles.

May I just weigh in on this and say that I'm GLAD MU doesn't fully copy the 6 inch crap? Mainly with the boxes and BAFs. BAFs nowadays are nothing but an exploitive gimmick, in my opinion, and I REALLY hate those Black series boxes. They make me keep them on a bookshelf like some kind of maniac. There's no feeling like a classic card, in my opinion.

MarvelLegends.Net - Marvel Universe Gigantic Battles Series 2 Goliath

Here is a pro quality, water marked photo set. ^^^^^^
I don't believe HASBRO ever did an official shoot of those. I could be wrong, but I don't recall seeing them.

Marvel Universe Bill Foster under "exclusives"

Marvel Universe « It'sAllTrue.Net Goliath and Ragnarok listed under 2011

Marvel Universe (Toys | Marvel Database | FANDOM powered by Wikia) not listed

Marveltoys.net - The source for Marvel figure information! under 2011 Giantic Battles

Marvel Database Index - Marvel Database - MarvelousNews.com under MU- Gigantic Battles wave 2

"Classic" MU card backs are the best.

I'd be absolutely down with certain figures being a "deluxe" line with more and/or bigger gear.

Maybe put out three a year to see if there is interest?
1. Ronan
2. Kingpin
3. Annihilus

$20 in a box.
Ronan with alternate head - with and without hood and hammer
Kingpin with his cane and money bag
Annihilus with perfect large wings and control rod

Sold out in a minute!!! Make them a HASBRO Toy Shop exclusive and cut out the middle man mark up. Sell them only through comic stores to drive in foot traffic. Sell them on Amazon only. Raise the price to $25 and include amazing artwork..... just PLEASE make this happen.

I'm not all that concerned about BAF or anything, but it'd be nice if Hasbro would just not skimp on the smaller scale figs. A lot of characters can be made with very minor adjustments/additions. It just laziness that they don't do more.

I have said this before, a Kree themed 3 figure box with the Supreme Intelligence as the background art, like getting a 4th figure free.

Our beloved 4" line wouldn't have to do a BAF piece. I just meant something of value besides an oversized middle firing gun. Perhaps they put a diorama piece in the box like the old Toybiz legends had? A build a diorama(BAD)?
