Completely agree. i would always buy something JOE as just about any of their body molds was easy custom fodder.

Ended that way with Marvel Universe too, especially the last couple of years.

Hasbro should just bring JOE & MU back to retail.

Anyone have the Sue Storm & Mr. Fantastic from the boxed set? Haven't seen it for sale anywhere but need the figs for the collection.

It's coming! A matter of when is all. For GI Joe, we gotta wait for the new movie and any new media push that follows around then to help get stores wanting it.

And as for Marvel 4'', a bigger push is coming but gotta wait on some older stuff getting out of the system first. Some clogs set some things back. But by the time the new GI Joe movie is up and going with toys, it should be back again, and hopefully better streamlined this time for cost-efficiency.

Part of the hiccup is on retailers as well. Their backstock and the loss of TRU means they have to wait until retailers see the demand for it and want it. Middle man syndrome so to speak. But thanks to recent massive merchandise moves from Black Panther and other areas, we should see some better material coming later.

Next Black Panther movie definitely. Spider-man FFH is really likely too(after how well Homecoming did, retailers may be open to trying out a spider-man line like before again), and Infinity War 2 is a maybe. Retailers do want a budget line that'll move more volume than what has been moving, and want numbers back to what Avengers 1 and Ironman 2 were at. Though the recent budget lines haven't been doing too bad. So there might be some give and take between the two to better blend the cost efficiency, and then a premium version released somehow(like the MCU 2 packs).

The biggest problem really is the retailers themselves though. They want material that moves, but also want cheaper material. After Jurassic World, they want numbers/prices closer to that while still having the variety styles for the eye catch. So it's become a blend of how to meet retailer expectations and demands while also still getting fans/kids what they want.

Here is the actual figure. They have to be broken out of their casing and then the head just pops off with some force.

I went by my Target yesterday and saw 1 Domez box, for Deadpool, and it was empty.

So I saw the prices are back up on Brickseek. There's even a price increase up to $13.39 and a newer picture of AoA Magneto. I guess the things Snowflakian just brought up might explain it? If anyone else at retail can explain more (specifically is MU figures gonna be on pegs again) that would be good to hear.

That's part of the backlogs/clogs and stuff. Some two packs and other hiccups slowed down releases some. Which also slowed retailer support as they had too much inventory that already was moving too slow.

The price increase is another issue. But that's one that nothing can be done about as yet. But hopefully by next year or 2020, it should be back on track entirely. With some changes probably in the works to align it to more like legends has been doing with a mix of comic and cinematic to pump out some stuff quicker too now that the TRU exclusive deal is gone on some of those two packs as individual figures that were off-limits.

There's still 2 waves pending. The AOA Magneto one with Hydra Cap, and the spider-man wave. Once that backlog is caught up, we should start seeing some new stuff again finally.

Between the dock strike awhile back, then movie product interrupting the release cycle, some excess backlogs created by the Enchantress/skurge two pack, some other little things, and some other minor retailer ordering issues, the line got set back a little bit. So the push to make product wasn't there until wider retailer support was back. (Target and Gamestop have been trying to support it though! That's why "Gamerverse" even exists. And it could jump in the ordering system because of it being a new line to bypass the clogs.) The price has been another issue, but not many remedies available for that yet. We're kind of lucky as it is that 6'' legends aren't jumping to 25. But with the increase, we might get some other minor perks from it later.

My worry on that though is that higher prices will limit sales, but there's not many options to get it back under a 10 spot without losing quality and points of articulation. But I'm sure Hasbro will look into that. So we'll see how that goes, or what they manage to do to make it warrant it.

It's been one of those things where it was a whole list of issues out of anyone's control. But keep your fingers crossed it gets back in full swing again.

Kind of feel bad for them though. Watching all the fan hate and derision for things literally out of their control has gotta be pretty jarring and painful. I mean what could they even say? One mis-worded statement or off-handed remark with reactions like that already out of hand, and it'd be a barrage of more hate or remarks at retailers that they want the support of. And what retailer would want people that act with that kind of contempt even in their stores? It'd drive orders down simply because of not wanting to deal with it.

Hi Everybody! Please take your time to take this survey - https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/M8TF7F7 Hasbro probably needs a little bit of insight about the collectors peferences concerning BAFs, packages and pricing of 6 inch figures, however there are several questions about our beloved scale. Let's try to (politely) tell Hasbro that we still exist and are patiently waiting for more things in our scale (as we were instructed by them).

Survey does have one indirectly great question for 3.75" figures. Under the "Diorama/Backdrop Piece" question is a box to enter other suggestions. I entered the suggestion, that Toy Biz blister cards for 3.75 figures, can be an affordable nostalgic backdrop (versus diorama pieces that'll hike the $13.39 price). Then I politely paraphrased Dwight Stall saying "the 3.75 inch line can make a great comeback just like Michael Jordan." Feel free to quote Dwight (again) to keep it polite as Kostej said.

That was the first survey from a toy manufacturer EVER where the questions were not deliberately skewed to prevent me from giving my honest opinion! Of course the number crunchers may not like my honest opinion much. Like we used to say in school, there goes the curve.

I was polite, but honest. Under that question I suggested a Build a Diorama.

It was an interesting survey. Since there was questions about both 3.75 and 12 they should not have had questions that assumed people had 6 inch figures. Some questions you had to answer questions about your 6 inch collection. I don't have any that I know of. I have a few of the kiddie figures to serve as stand in, but no 6 inch Legends.

Anyone NOT take the survey? If not, we need a volunteer. Snowflakian spoke of keeping prices affordable and Lord Mudd suggested a Build a Diorama. So how about suggesting an affordable "Build-a-World."

A building can be like a BaF 3.75 wave. Just scale it a little bigger to fit 3.75 inch figures. It can go above and beyond, the original set. Later waves can build a facade of Xavier's School, the Danger Room, Doom's Castle, Hydra Command Center, Asgaard, etc. Its a hard-to-find diorama. Hailed as a Holy Grail worth almost $800 unsealed, said these real funny comic experts,

It has been tried. A few years ago a company tried to redo Marvel World in 1/18 scale. Unfortunately, they decided to start with the Baxter Bldg. There is a picture of it and I have reposted it here somewhere before. It is/was huge. Most likely for that reason, it fell through. Shipping would be a major issue.

Go to extremesets.com and look at some of what they are doing. Those sets are horizontal. Look at how long some of them are and imagine turning it vertical. If anyone could pull off skyscrapers for Spidey to hang out on, it would be them.

Perhaps they can start small with a Build a Diorama Spidey apartment. Then slowly build from there. When the big Fantastic 4 and X-Men MCU Disney movies begin, bigger marketing can bring the bigger Baxter Building, X-Mansion, etc. Any suggestion that Hasbro likes to help sell 3.75 figures is good with me.

Target sold these cool retro toys. Vintage style board games. Amsco was under board maker Milton Bradley (under parent company Hasbro). So maybe a "Marvel World" store exclusive with an MU 3.75 exclusive figure can also help sell our favorite scale.

Look on ebay at Fisher Price Loving Family doll houses, they make great X-Mansions and such for our scale.

Agreed. They should have started with Doctor Strange's Sanctum. Smaller, easier to package and ship, and could have been released for the movie.

Searched Mr Negative action figure on eBay and someone had all 3 new Gamerverss sets for $90. I was tempted since who knows if we will ever see them, but my wife might kill me.

I don’t know about you guys, but I have a tough time passing up clearance figures, and between TRU and Target, I ended up with a bunch of extra Enchantresses. I’ve no idea what I’m doing with all of them, but here’s one very much still WIP Lilith. Just gotta figure out what to use for a cape...

I make a lot of capes from the vinyl from old notebook binders. The cardboard is useful in building playsets too.
