Nice. Here's some picks of my final head sculpt for Peter.

Sadly, the neck hinge was tearing. Had to replace it. Will show in future posts.

Like I said, I'm sadly going to be busy over the course of the weekend due to unexpected matters, so here's the start of flurry of thing's i managed to do before later next morning.

First, my Mods to my Dr. Strange. Didn't care for the inaccurate hair or the arguably worse offense, that due to the standard engineering he lacks to minimum wrist articulation to portray the character's iconic gestures.

So I used the IW figurine and Microman hands from the Super Man returns figure from the line. The only drawbacls are the inconsistent sking tones and the small head. To be fare though, the Phase 1-2 figures have smaller heads so he doesn't standout that bad. It's really with the Phase 3 figures that it's really noticeable.

And once again, Bruce Campbell for what was technically a J.K Simmons line from Spider-Man.

Ash: "Look, you're a science major, right? How about...Dr. Strange?"

Dr. Strange: " Already taken." (grabs Necronomicon)

Ash: "Hey!"

Dr. Strange: "Peculiar and concerning reading material...I take it that you are familiar with the living dead?"

Ash: "If you don't hand it back I'll use my own spell so you can ask them yourself!"

I picked up an Emma Frost figure with the intention of doing a Polaris custom but I'm leaning more towards Siryn.

X-Factor Investigations Siryn should be a fairly straight repaint, I just have to make the 6 round bits.

Like I mentioned before, the sculpt is fantastic. Haven't displayed it with my actual MCU figures, but if I did I probably geek out on how convincing it looks. Perfect for acting out "Tobey In the MCU" fantasies.

With that said, the Holland figure is no slouch in capturing the likeness, but The legs seem too skinny and if you notice the two don't scale quite right due to being made 7 years apart.

However, despite having more points of articulation, the somewhat bulky sculpt hinders the clearance, where on the Holland figure the clearance is honestly impressive with the results. So the range of poses are just easier and more natural with the Holland figure.

He has two advantages though. His shorter torso makes the "crunching" look more convincing than it actually is. Likewise he can do a larger split.

i agree, Agemo. The MCU 3.75 inch Spidey isn't a bad buck overall.

More WIPs

First I want to show off my MCU Cap with the Agent Rogers body. Simply was the cheapest choice and I don't regret the results. Since Endgame Cap explicitly uses the traditional scales in his design, I might change it up.

Now we have my updated Spidey. This isn't the latest mod, but it shows off the taped black outlines on his arms and the red stripe web shooters. Once my current business is done, all the other changes Wil be seen with his new masked head.

Now we have Disney figurine Nebula with the modified Zori Bliss body. The body looked like a teen originally, which doesn't fit Karen Gillian since she is 5' 11". Used Mace Windu and WS Cap fodder to increase her height. Also, the figure has a "flap" instead of sculpted "glutes" so had to do a bit of "work" for Nebula, to keep is discrete, by using the Figurine as a donor. Originally was going to use a Baroness piece but sadly dropped it abd it faded into the oblivion of lost parts. That's a shame since it certainly wouldn't have had many complaints.

Warning to anyone using these new SW mold, it it has a dumbbell joint promptly boil and pop. Once you carve out a new hole, it works great.

Then we have My Captain Marvel base figure, using the Hiya Toys Aliens CM Bella body. It has Carson's height a general physique down once I smooth out the legs. The only problem is the brittle ankles that snapped. Dug out the pegs and used the feet from the mace windu
I used for Nebula. I guess Fury let Carol use them.

The minor issue is the upper torso, it uses a hard smooth plastic I doubt adheres to paint. The goid news is that I can make a jackets of sorts either in my Fodder (Princess collection Kenner Bespin Han) or one made from Gallon rubber.

This intact torso can just be her "casual mode" like in Endgame, a favorite look of her to me.

Will update in a couple of days.

"keeping marvel 3.75 alive while slowly killing you" should be their tagline imo.

These look like those slightly larger 5 PoAs that are at the dollar stores. Same style packaging too. Those have been going for a while now just by adding a couple of figures here and there based on what is hot.

In the mean time, outside of customs, I am collecting Toybiz's offerings and that of others. This is for Display though.

Funny how both of these are arguable better than Hasbro's, the Thing more so than Spidey who suffers from fragility. I don't even care that he lacks wrist swivels, it is a work of art.

Just got the Revolmini War Machine. The Ankles and neck are more limited than I thought, but everywhere else is beyond impressive.

Just bought a few RotS Reys and damn, Hasbro made very good female molds that can be versatile if the costume bits are removed. I mean as it is it's an obvious Ancient One body. Got some Snokes to for the cloak.

I need to see the Island Journey Rey to see which would make a better MJ.

I pray that someone will take up the licence though, either Mattel or possibly Hiya.

So, I just got something interesting in the mail today.

So basically, I got two Gold Ultrons from China(drones for my silver Ultron since they're way more common), and yeah, they're honestly the shoddiest MUs I've ever gotten from China. Like, even the ones I KNOW to be bootlegs have paint apps and plastic almost on par with the actual stuff. These guys feel kinda dusty and sensitive, though, and the few paint apps that are there are not very good. I mean, they work for my purposes, just not the best examples of the line.

I would dismiss them as bootlegs, but one of them has a handwritten B3 on his chest. Like, someone took a pen and wrote that on one, but not the other? Is that some kind of production number? I'll try to get a pic on here.

Edit: Have to use a Twitter link. https://twitter.com/TFramemaster/sta...916999168?s=19

Showbiz Thing is my default version. He is just awesome. Also Thor, Venom, Green Goblin... some of those still outshine Hasbro's versions.

@MUfan97
that looks like a final test shot version where they test the molds before going into full production

Thanks bro I have all of the showdown figures, and it is a toss up, but in the long run MUs are better. Shoulder rotation sucks on most but maybe i'm just a lover of articulation and that's why i try and combine the two lines to make a damn near perfect rendition. Thor is awesome but his lower legs are what Hulk would call puny. I gave showdown Thors lower legs to Bearded Thor and combined an MU Spider man with the showdown Spider man. Doc Ock modded with parts from MU Mysterio and cake topper tendrils.
