the new upcoming Marvel Legends "classic" She Hulk figure it reminds me of the old Marvel Masterpieces Series 1 trading card series from the 1990s where some of the female characters were in sexy poses while Invisible Woman Susan had mom bod big boobs

Money on my end has been insanely tight, due to bills and now due to my family's food bill going up $100 from last month. It's with great pride and joy that I can say I had enough to pre-order the "Retro Iron Man" figures of Iron Man Model 09 and She-Hulk from Amazon today. The outfits for both characters are the looks I remember from the early Impel/Fleer Marvel trading cards from my childhood, so getting these two figures is a dream come true for me. I just hope that not only will I be able to see more classic comic figures for favorite characters of mine later this year, but that I'll be able to afford them as well.
@Veronica Mars - Congratulations on the new figures! Your collection looks great! I have the "X-Men '97" Magneto and he's a great figure. Where did you get your flight stand for him, if you don't mind me asking? I hope that you all have a marvelous weekend and stay safe, everyone. |

well we got the Deadpool and Wolverine Trailer today. Dan Yun told us patience is the key regarding these movies figures.
It's like bro we MCU collectors haven't had any new figures to get excited for since the NWH figures came out in November how much more patience do you want us to have? Last edited by ThorOdinson123; 04-22-2024 at 12:07 PM.. |

I mean he’s correct. There’s usually contractual things with other outlets that tend to be involved when it comes to new MCU figures. That’s why most of the time new releases tend to get dropped by sites like Entertainment Weekly or IGN instead of the livestreams or social media.

I was thinking we'd see a F4 repaint of Jen next year when they're pushing the new movie, but couldn't she also be part of the 85th Anniversary program? We haven't seen anything F4 related yet and she was one of the last characters Stan Lee created, or is it too soon to get a repaint?

I was just thinking about getting the Silver Surfer action figure from the Fantastic Four Rise of Silver Surfer movie action figure series a couple of days ago since the Rise of Silver Surfer action figure is a little cheap to get these days

Replace those stupid ring blast accessories with something better like the full fire plasma blast accessories from some other Marvel Legends figures.
Just how many of those round energy ring accessories does Hasbro really need to constantly make and in different colors anyway? |

That figure was fine for the time but desperately needs updating with pinless joints and ditching that ugly waist cut swivel. The body should be less beefy as well most of the artwork depicts him as lean and shredded.

Honestly if I had a black copy of the Vulcan buck and a cast black copy of the HasLab Surfer head I would break out my airbrush and give the 3-stage chroming process a go. Then just make a board. I'm hoping if the FF movie gets made we'll get some classic characters. Like a much needed pinless classic or neo-classic Adam Warlock. Also would really like a Midnight Son. I'm one of like 3 people that want that character. LOL Seems like Marvel is going to run with a stupid "What If..." style story in which Shalla-Bal becomes a Herald and Norrin is relegated to backup status. If they actually go that direction I'll be inconsolably pissed. |

I mean Earth X is absolutely a thing and it makes sense considering that FF is apparently going to be largely a period piece and the MCU has been delving hard into the multiverse concept since Multiverse of Madness.
Even the Wolverine in Deadpool and Wolverine is a multiverse variant and not the same guy from the Fox movies. |

I've noticed a trend. Anytime a dude starts out a postwith "I mean..." it's a clear indication they are about to state a bunch of shit that you already know in way that really means "I'm about to be super condescending so get ready to roll your eyes at me".
Since you didn't pick up on my hints I'll lay it out plain simple like...Norrin Radd Silver Surfer or GTFO. Nobody gives a shit about the Silver Surfer so him being a chick is not going to affect this movie's performance in any way aside from giving Disney brownie points from both the media and comic nerds who aren't drinking the culture war kool-aid by both adding diversity to the movie's cast and using a deep cut character from an obscure 90s comic storyline. Win-Win. Oh I'm sorry I meant nobody but like five people give a shit. Last edited by Power Lord X; Yesterday at 03:22 PM.. |

I was trying to explain that this isn't Marvel "woking up" the Silver Surfer just to spite you but since you want to be a dick about it, I'll be frank too then.

Win-Win. Oh I'm sorry I meant nobody but like five people give a shit. I could care less what you think. In fact, I really don't give a shit if no one but me cares. My opinion on the matter is my only concern here. Disney can keep bleeding money by doing stupid shit that like...5 people care to watch. So give them all the "brownie points" ya want. Your lone "atta boy" won't matter much. At this point I was being silly in thinking they WOULDN'T do something dumb. They haven't made a solid movie since Endgame. As their dismal ticket sales, weak openings and streaming loses indicate. |

Surfer fan here. Like Pulse, he’s my favorite hero. And while the restock of the Walmart fig that I already have 3 of (along with 3 Surfer blacks – and 4 Halab versions) might be sold-out for a variety of reasons (i.e. scarcity of the original exclusive, under-appreciation of the character’s popularity, etc) it is sold-out, nonetheless. As it was when it was first released indicating there's interest out there. I tend to believe that there are potentially at least as many fans of Surfer as there are of the FF. He did support his own book, which I - obviously – collected, as a committed fan. A title that birthed the Infinity Gauntlet, the comic arc that essentially set up the crescendo of the MCU’s phase ‘whatever.’ I say “whatever” because I became disinvested in the MCU very, very early on. Possibly, around the time of Thor 2, so what they do doesn’t really matter in the scheme of things, to me. My disinterest doesn’t align with anything other than a want for stories consistent with canon. While I found enjoyment in ‘Age of Ultron’ it suffered in my eyes due to Tony birthing the character. The same was true for how Antman was worked out using Scott Lang as the protagonist alongside an elderly Hank. If Norrin isn’t the big screen’s latest iteration of the Silver Surfer, I’ve no intention to watch an FF film featuring such a change. Which is no big loss as I’ve skipped most of the movies.
Whatever the reasoning is behind Disney potentially putting a spin on Surfer’s characterization, there’s canonical diversity to mine among Galactus’ heralds without changing things up. There’s Frankie Raye, of course. Even a Surfer-empowered Alicia Masters. And Stardust has been portrayed as male, female, and ambiguous/fluid throughout interpretations.
