From what I have read, the two packs were present but Hasbro wasn't allowing any photographs.

Actually, I think the multi-packs and exclusives were only shown at the press-only presentation in slideshow form, and the official images for them are the same images the press were shown there. I don't think they were actually present at the show.

I'm sadly not very impressed with the new Moon Knight but I already know I'm gonna get him because it's Moon Knight.

I feel a huge sense of relief and elation right now, after seeing that announcement for the Human Torch figure !

There was a LOT of speculation that we were going to be getting another Walgreens exclusive FF figure to follow the upcoming Invisible Woman figure, but I'm just glad we now have an official confirmation!

EDIT:
Also, since the new Wal-Mart exclusive Black Panther wasn't present, I hope that's a sign that he'll be showing up in stores any day now.

So finally pictures of the 2 packs, kind of. The Dark Phoenix/Cyclops one is missing and that is the one I wanted to see most of all.

For what is shown though:

MJ - Looks fine but why does she have freckles? MJ has never had freckles in any comic book I have ever read nor any cartoon and video game.

Spider-Man - His costume looks odd, but it could just be the lighting Hasbro used in the picture.

Vulture - How is this Classic Vulture? It looks nothing like him. The 4 inch toy is Classic Vulture, this one is not. I still like it, but they shouldn't be advertising it as the classic version when it isn't.

Spider-Man - Are they using the teenage Spidey buck? Because he was never that small when he fought Vulture and the costume is not even accurate to Ditko's work. Also, no web wings? WTF?

Now with those aside, Hasbro is saving me A LOT of money this year because I have no interest in Mantis or Movie Vulture (since a comic version is coming out). As such, the only figures I will be buying are:

Tombstone - Awesome looking and he will be a peg warmer, making him easy to find.

Death's Head II - So glad he is not the BAF, so I will definitely pick him up if I see him.

Adam Warlock - Also going to pick up, but I might have to preorder this guy online.

Beetle - I don't get Hasbro's obsession with this character, but I'll probably pick him up on clearance.

Inivisble Woman - Instant buy and I plan to torture Robbie.

Human Torch - Also instant buy and I will have him burn Robbie.

Oh yeah, and I have no interest in any of the characters from that A-Force pack. In fact, outside of She-Hulk and I think Sif, I don't care about anyone else. Give me a real Loki, not some gender swapped version!

The wires were crossed - the Spidey/Vulture pack is the Ultimate versions of the characters, not the classic.

-_-

Great, so now even toy announcements have to suffer from alternative facts.

Did the Dark Phoenix/Cyclops two pack really get announced or did someone also just pull that one out of their ass?

It's a recent thing, I think. First time I recall seeing the freckles was in J. Scott Campbell's artwork around the time of One More Day/Brand New Day, and that look seems to have stuck based on the recent(ish) Iron Man covers I've seen.

Not thrilled by the idea that I'll end up with a current comic version of Spider-Man if I want MJ in the collection. I understand the glowing symbol/eyes are supposed to evoke the radioactive spider... but it looks weird to me.

But, Hasbro insists civilian characters don't sell, so I guess it's necessary.

I have to say that A-Force set confuses me. I don't really see why they included Monica and Sif when Medusa and America Chavez would have been more in line with the team. What happened to Squirrel Girl? Also did they really have to reuse the Thundra buck for She-Hulk? The hip joints on that buck are the worst

It is odd, even Elsa is a bit of a stretch because she only appeared in the final issues of volume 2. Sif was in volume one as part of the Thor Corp, Monica I don't think was in it at all. I'm not complaining, they are all figures I really, really want but the A-Force title doesn't make much sense.
It's possible they have retooled the hips if they were aware they were a problem, they did that with pizza Spider-man I think?

Yeaaaaaaah, I knew that a-force team was off, Elsa wasn't a member was she? I knew she was a Fearless Defender.

America Chavez or even Dazzler would have been good pics. Im also kinda shocked they didnt retool Captain Marvel. Medusa is coming for sure, and I bet America is being shoehorned into a wave soon. If they made Singularity, I can't see them not including a character as progressive as America and I smell an inhumans wave on the rise.

If they re-do Medusa, they gotta get rid of the heels this go round.

I also think that Red-She Hulk body was one of the best female bucks. If they gave her an ab crunch, the thing would be amazing, I just wish she was a single release, Elsa is the only member I might try to pick up some how

She's a delightfully foul-mouthed sass bucket, I adore Elsa Bloodstone. I've wanted her in action figure form for a decade, now. She was in the comic the set is named for and is a colorful enough character that I think I'll allow it. Even if I weren't prodigiously biased, I'd allow it. So glad I didn't sell off that action figure sized tea cup set, now.
I really would have liked Chavez as well, Medusa seems likely to get a single release later on whereas some of the others in the set may not have a great chance. She does make more sense than Spectrum, but hey. I'll be selfish on that one too because I really wanted a Monica Rambeau figure.

I love Elsa, even from her old Buffy-esque mini series.

I'm glad they threw two Next Wave characters in a set. I think we're only missing Captain and Boomer now, right? I can bet Boomer is coming in a new X-wave.

Now I need a pic of that Phoenix 2-pack!

She teamed up with them in volume two, but that's all.

Monica was in the first volume. Briefly.

What's more likely is they had some figures in the works for a while and just used A-Force as generic name to release them under. They showed off the first preview for that Monica last year and Sif has been a character people have been asking for over the years, so they probably just felt A-Force worked for a pack of female figures who might not be released on their own otherwise.

If we're going by the first volume pretty much every heroine in the Marvel Universe was a member of A-Force, so they have an out.

I for one am very excited for the FF figures, Moon Knight and the Spidey/MJ 2pack. The Marvel knights wave looks cool, but I generally do not but MCU stuff as I prefer comic based figures. So no real interest for the GOTG wave at all.

TRU has been easy to get exclusives. It's the Walmart ones for me that suck. I have yet to see Falcon or Winter Soldier at any of my Walmarts.

I completely agree. The glowing green as part of the Spider-Man suit just feels really off. I will say I have liked what I have seen of his new (well new to me reading 6 months plus behind) suit abilities but the green is a bit jarring with all the red and blue.

The lack of Medusa is a little surprising since her only recent figure was in the SDCC exclusive. However with the Inhumans ramping up I kind of suspect we will see a new version of Medusa shortly.

I kind of suspect they geared the set more toward the Secret Wars version since we can probably expect new Carol and Medusa figures as the Captain Marvel movie and Inhumans tv show ramp up. With Dazzler in the new X wave I am not surprised she was skipped for the set.

I know nothing about Elsa but after those couple of panels that were posted I am intrigued. It looks amusing.

Yep, that about covers it. They are definitely using it as a catch-all phrase while incorporating a few members from the Secret Wars version of the team with a couple randoms. I am just really happy to see Hasbro release a fully female set. Monica will head straight for what will hopefully become my Ultimates team if we end up with America and Blue Marvel as I hope. To that end, I REALLY wish the new Black Panther would have been his Ultimates costume.

See in my parts it's the TRU exclusives that are a pain as we don't have a TRU within an hour from me. Walgreens are hit and miss while Walmart seems the easiest as the Civil War Falcons and Buckys continue to peg warm.
