I got a nice response from Hasbro today after emailing them at their customer service (CustomerService@hasbrotoyshop.com)

^ It's good hasbro is doing that. It seems like no one starts her off on eBay at cost, everyone on there puts her up for 3 times what they paid, and they still sell! People are paying a ton of money just for BW or just the mandroid torso. Thanks for sharing that info cidman.

It's those people who pay who are at fault not the sellers if no one paid those prices idiot scalpers wouldn't do what they do. I'm sure most people dont know about revision cases and so on

We should all pitch in and start contacting Hasbro with our ideas and issues. Seems like they genuinely care.

Keep it classy too. No need to curse them out. Its not 100% their fault resellers are trying to rape people with $80 figures.

But that's just it. People will always pay, especially early on. People with great jobs and disposable income will gladly pay 2-3 times the price to avoid trying to find something as they have more important things to do. It's not their fault that scalpers set the prices high before a figure even hits the shelf. They bank on people that will pay because it's their favorite character or just to have something before everyone else does. Scalpers pull the prices out of the sky and say "this is what people should have to pay for this figure". It would be one thing if you saw preorders or early stock on ebay with a starting price of retail but that only happens after people are posting it up for buy-it-now at triple that price. It's not a natural increase in prices like you see with a figure like MU Vision or those Deadpool/Warpath sets.

If people are patient there is pretty much always a window to buy a retail item at a good price. A lot of people don't care to wait. I paid $20 because I wanted MU Professor X and he was only showing up in Mexico and Asia. Eventually I found a bunch of them when they were on sale for $6 so basically I was paying to have him six months early. Sometimes we just get impatient. Of course, once stuff stops shipping or is long gone from store shelves it will naturally go up in price.

I couldn't imagine the situation with Black Widow if they didn't have that revision case. Anyone that paid $60+ for her already has that locked in their minds as her value. So if they every sell they will want that much or more. Or if they find one a retail when the revision case hits they will stick on ebay for that price hoping to make up for the first one they bought. It's a cycle and at the end of the day we don't have any production numbers to go off of so a lot of this becomes solely about a rare a figure is thought to be.

Not a Black Widow but I did find Spidergirl and Boomerrang at Walmart today. I got Spidergirl as her paint is perfect, but left Boomerrang as his was shit and is showing a leg gap. I'm gonna hold out for 1 with decent paint apps. It pays to wait, as you can find bulk lots, sleeper lots on ebay and also good deals from fellow members on here and on other sites.

Does anyone have a picture of the new Black Widow CATWS figure without her head on? I want to see if I would be able to fit an AC Talia head onto the body.

looking from the response I take it they didn't provide a date to when the link will go live....but 1 per household is ok with me as all I need is 1.
on a separate note scalpers pull a price outta thin air and post to ebak..when you think that you may never see the figre at retail some opt to pay the asking scalped price out of fear...case in point the 6 in Thundercats Tygra.. he was an EndOfLine figure that ended up only being found at Marshalls and Ross but on ebay he was upwards of 45+ just because...same thing with Prime Skyquake..then 6-9 months later he was damn near everywhere you could have looked. I almost bit the bullet on him and skyquake for scalp prices but just couldn't do it. Glad I didn't as I found 6-7 tygras and 5-8 Skyquakes eventually..which I sold to board memebers for cost or cost/shipping. Patience and the universe will right itself...I laugh evertime I think of the guy at the trade show with 5+ Hasbro MP Soundwaves for $200 bucks...he came with them and left with them...with patience we can control the prices...by not feeding the scalpers!

I believe I've seen the Legends infinite for like $19.99.

It's Amazon so maybe they might adjust the price later? Who knows. Still went ahead and pre-ordered the set as I don't want to be hunting down the figures later on... Still not a huge Legends collector but I want that Iron man. So I might re-sale the guardians later on especially if Gamora is hard to find like Black Widow then we might make an extra buck there.

Roughly. Target and Walmart sell them for $20, TRU will bump that to $23 sometimes.

The normal price I believe is $19.99. So it's pretty close. And with Amazon Prime it includes the shipping.

Awesome!

Just got Gamora, Rocket & Star Lord. Drax, Nova and Iron Man looks kind of meh but maybe I'll change my mind when I see them in person. I wanted a movie version Nova Corp.

Heres a link for anyone that needs.

Amazon.com: guardians of the galaxy 6: Toys & Games

I'm dying for a Mark 39 suit Marvel Legend but if we didn't get it for Iron Man 3 series, I doubt we'll ever see it.

Is this the first time Hasbro has done pre-orders this early for a wave? Maybe our customer service emails are the reason for this. I mentioned they should start doing preorders far in advance like Hot Toys and Diamond Select does. Whatever the reason, I'm thrilled!
