I think Toybiz overall is better, minus their women characters. I liked the articulation Toybiz had better, plus the price point was half of what Hasbros was. I remember skipping the Hasbro hulk wave because they jacked the price up to $15 a figure and their build a figures were tiny compared to Toybiz. At least now Hasbro is adding hands and heads, it helps .

Many people have had success in tightening joints by using clear floor polish and an eyedropper to get it into the cracks, and then working the joint as it dries. I am not sure how Galactus's, joints are since I do not have this figure, but you might be able to make that work. Just be sure to test the polish on a small area on the figure to ensure that it will not damage the paint, and to clean up any excess so that it will not freeze the figure in other places. |

And yeah, I really miss the prices of yesteryear. Over $20 a figure is getting out of hand. If it goes up any further I may have to get out of collecting for a while ![]() Quote:

Got bored so made some Toybiz vs Hasbro comparisons. There are more, but most of my legends are in storage.

That's just Phlish, Hasbro really dropped the ball with him or her. By not including any kind of stand or support it makes the little guy or gal look like a beanie baby for Sam instead of another Nova. Phlish was very short-lived only appearing in a couple of flashbacks in which he or she appears to die anyway, I guess someone at Hasbro figured the design was cute enough to include with Sam.

I collect all sort of toys and dolls, and you kind of learn as you go along what deteriorates and what's not. I cannot count how many repairs I've done. I use invisible Mitre glue normally that's spray and glue, because it's invisible and hard as nails. Also the "horns" bend everytime I move house. I've have a box just for mr. G. |

Honestly I would let sleeping dogs lie. Unlike many of Hasbro's, Toy Biz BAFs were never meant to be disassembled once assembled. Attempts to do so, even to attach a new piece, really puts you at risk for damaging the figure or breaking it all together. On top of that, remember that the figure itself is over 15 years old, meaning the plastic quality has also had 15 years to degrade, making it even more of a risk to attempt to fix.
Many people have had success in tightening joints by using clear floor polish and an eyedropper to get it into the cracks, and then working the joint as it dries. The top torso slides over the abdomen, is the peg that's a bit weak. Just handle with care and should be fine. But I must admit I glued mine. It's an old, but great piece.

Now I have to find a good Silver Surfer and Fantastic Four team. I don't have any of either. Any suggestions for older figures or are these ones that I'm better off waiting for them to make new ones? |

Hasbro is currently in the (slow, but steady) process of releasing the Fantastic Four as Walgreens exclusives. They just released Sue, and they're releasing Johnny later this year; Reed and Ben will probably come out next year.

Wow I forgot how weird the old symbiote Spidey looked, I liked that one a lot when it was new. Also welcome to the Ark!

Bought ML Cable for $13 clearance from Gamestop... this is not good... my ML collection is growing too fast for my liking. LOL. Not my fav Cable costume, but pretty amazing figure in hand.

Sometimes I feel like some of the people who used to do the Toybiz Legends ended up working at Diamond. The sculpting on some of the Select marvel figures really feels like the modern/advanced take on the sculpting of the TB Legends and then the diorama pieces/bases give me the same vibe as those that came with TB's figures. The big difference of course is that the Select figures have restrictions on articulation.

That works out perfectly! Is Sue starting to show up on shelves or not yet?

Nope. There were a couple that "fell off the truck" so to speak a while back, but they have all dried up since then. Even Ebay searches are coming up empty, so it may be a while still...
