Even though I think Molina and Dafoe nailed those roles, I think other people probably could play Doc Ock and Green Goblin, too; but I honest-to-god can't think of any other person who could play J Jonah Jameson nearly as well as JK Simmons played him. Y'know how people talk about RDJ's perfect casting as Tony Stark by saying RDJ IS Tony? Well, in my eyes, JK Simmons as J Jonah Jameson is that by a million. Honestly, I think the reason the character didn't appear in the ASM movies (and why he doesn't appear to be in Spider-Man Homecoming) is because they know no one could follow up JK Simmon's performance in Sam Raimi's trilogy. It's a shame he's playing Commissioner Gordon over in the DCEU, only because we need him to play J Jonah Jameson in the MCU.

The sad part is JK Simmons wanted to come back for Amazing Spiderman. But now that he's Commissioner Gordon, I doubt it will happen for the MCU

Can't catch-up in here until I finish IronFist (only at ep.8 and so far this is easily hands down the best Netflix series since DD season1 - end of story-) best to avoid any spoilery posts- but did have time to start in on a X-Men support team- the folks left behind to keep an eye on the Prof when the Blue and the Gold were out and about... Forge and banshee are both favorites of mine- so I enjoyed that role they played (up until Phalanx Covenant) Even Moira was a fun character when she was bouncing between the mansion and Muir Island...

I was just browsing the "F" forums and in a thread about the A-Force set, someone mentions that one of Hasbro's reps said something about Monica R coming in a classic Captain Marvel for the SDCC set...has anyone else heard or picked up on this, and i missed it, or could this just be someone making something up? I would like this to be true but at the same time, if we have one Monica R, I'm not sure how hot I would be to get another if it's included in the SDCC set.

Mainly because I guess it would be classic avengers related, and outside of Sersi, Crystal and Quasar I can't think of another classic (pre Heroes Reborn) Avenger we are missing that I'd really want much less badly enough to get an SDCC set. heck I would probably pass on it unless it had both Sersi and classic CM.

I think that set is as shown right now. Why release promos of it and say that's what it is only to change it. If it was a single figure maybe but not as a set. Maybe they release a classic comic Monica in the Avengers sets in 2018 when those hit heavy with the 2 movies coming. I would buy her in a second.

I would buy her as a single or part of a two pack figure for sure, even if we do get the modern Monica with the A-Force pack. But if she ends up being in another set, especially a Con exclusive set, I would likely pass unless I'm really interested in some more of the set.

Monica is one of those characters that as much as I like her iconic classic outfit, her more modern takes are just as good. Granted I would have preferred a Spectrum outfit from Might Avengers rather than the look from Nextwave, but they're all pretty decent.

A-Force is just the ToysrUs exclusive set (like FC X-Men), not the SDCC set (though the EE booth will probably carry it at SDCC) So I could see a classic Avengers based SDCC set with a Capt.Marvel Monica. That would be pretty awesome (though I'm really hoping for a X-Men set with a Jim Lee era Storm, Colossus, Prof.X, Gambit and Jubilee....) If it is Avengers then a Sersi and BlackKnight, Herculese and even Dr.Druid would be fun...

Yeah sorry for any confusion. I know the A-Force set is TRU exclusive. Someone on another forum indicated that someone official from Hasbro mentioned a classic Captain Marvel Monica in the upcoming SDCC set. I'm not registered to the forum so I can't ask for clarification.

Also I can't help but wonder if this is true and it's Avengers related we might not get that rumored Tigra. I already have one so not enough of a sell for me, but I can see it being a draw for sure. They'd pretty much have to offer Sersi in the set for me to want it.

And I know this would not be a featured line up Monica was in, but 90's bomber jacket era Black Knight, Sersi, Hercules, Vision and Crystal! OMG I'd love that. The Hasbro Hercules is so bad. Not Banshee level bad but still bad enough a redo would be appreciated.

I don't think I have come to think of it, I finally stopped by my local TRU, same ol stuff although they did have a peg for the Groot Legends figures empty of course.

Hmm maybe but if Target is the only place getting them, I do remember remember that they were getting clearance prices too at the time at Target...

I almost picked up that old Rocket figure thinking that would be fine until the new one comes out, but then I saw it doesn't have articulated legs. Meh. Rocket is all I need to complete the first five MCU GOTG so to have him already would be neat but if I know a better one is coming in a few months, I can wait.

Unless I get bored and haven't bought anything in a while, then I may break down and get him.

Sorry about that, my friend You may want to continue looking away, then (though I'm still keeping an eye open for another Groot for ya!)

Despite having to bail on getting some figures due to some sudden financial stuff this past weekend (I swear, that's my life story), fortune did grace me with both the TRU Groot, and Angela (whom my wife had pre-ordered from Amazon before the price skyrocketed).

Now, I don't really see why people were having trouble with Angela, because this figure is a beauty. No issues with articulation or loose costume bits, her sword stores just fine, and she can even hold head poses despite her massive hair. In fact, the only drawback for me is her ribbons - they keep creeping up her neck, and there's not really anything you can do with them aside from letting them hang there. I'd remove them, but I still remember how important her ribbons were back in Spawn, so I'd feel remiss if I pulled them off. Nonetheless, she's an amazing figure with incredible paint, and I'm really looking forward to getting her again as Sif in the A-Force box set. My wife has already dubbed her "Figure of the Year" for 2017, and I can at least agree that she'll be making it into my top five.

Groot... I'm still trying to figure out. Mostly because he has some articulation that keeps throwing me. Overall, he's an excellent figure, but his odd hips and knees make posing him a little more of a thought process than your standard figure. I never picked up the original BAF Groot, so this is new territory for me, but the thigh-joint placement is just... awkward. The rotating knee joint is kinda cool, and looks natural with the sculpt, so maybe I'm just spoiled by so many double-joints in the knees. Also, I remember someone saying that the original GOTG figures from the Groot wave had some gummy joints... I think this also affects this release of Groot - his elbows feel like they're stretching more than they should when I bend them. But still, I really like this guy, and suggest adding him to your collection if you can find him at a good price. The potted Groot is especially worth it, since he works well as an accessory for other figures.

Yeah, it's really peculiar. They made the figure out of stiff plastic, but the elbow joints are still gummy. I don't really move the elbows because I fear breaking them, but this is getting ridiculous. Hasbro, have some QC!

My Winter Soldier figure from the Winter Soldier line's elbow joint started splitting on his non-metal arm. I can't pose it anymore.

I went to my Walgreens for the umpteenth time, still nothing. I feel stiffed as the rest of the country seems to be finding the X-Men wave. I'm beginning to suspect my Walgreens doesn't order Marvel Legends anymore. They still have figures from the Winter Soldier line sitting there, and that's pretty much it.

I'm done checking there. I'm going to wait until these hit major retailers.

Yeah, I've only found one single figure from the new X-Wave. Just be vigilant.

If anyone has Dazzler and Moonstone/Ms. Marvel(3-pack), could you post pics of their heads swapped?? I'm not the biggest fan of the style and color of Dazzler's hair, and I think the longer blonde might make a better match for me.
