Man, I would have reported that rude employee to the manager.

I grabbed my Grimlock and headed for the end of the aisle. Fortunately the guy didn't follow me over to the grocery section.

My worst experience at Toys R Us was with an employee. I was looking for the Dark Knight Movie Masters Batman and Joker. I asked an employee his response was "Pfft, check eBay." He walked off and didn't even ask me if I needed anything else.

However my best experience at Toys R Us was when I was around 10 years old. I was looking for Star Wars figures (POTF2) and the lady stocking the shelves went to the back and and returned with another employee. They had pulled out 3 or 4 cases of new figures for me to look through. After we left (with new figures!), my mom told me that the the two employees had said they wouldn't have done that for an adult because they would have assumed that the lone adult was a scalper. They were more than happy to help a little kid get toys.
Employees don't do that kinda stuff anymore. They used to do the same years ago when i was a kid with my grandmother. You try asking people today, they tend to avoid contact with customers.

It also doesn't help that an employee can be fired for any given reason these days, even if it is trying to stop a shop lifter. The Best Buy I worked at lost 3 managers, 1 super visor, their security guy, and 2 employees over a guy who stole three laptops.

( I was told Skylanders were going on 3$ sale the week before by a employee). I have even taken newer stock down from those overhead bins and placed them on pegs and put old stock up there so fellow collectors can get new stuff because employees would just leave old stock on the main display. I never scalp toys. I help out a few fellow collectors, but never buy something just for the purpose of reselling or making a profit.

P.S. I have been going to that TRU for almost 15 years. I am one of the most loyal customers that store has.
Yikes! I'm sorry for being a such a tool. I haven't had much luck finding any figures for a while and I was venting. I have been going to that TRU for around 10 years and have never found anyone there particularly helpful. I probably wouldn't shop there if it weren't for exclusives. Unfortunately, they're about the only game in town for Neca figures too.

Hoping for some help from my fellow Arkers. I'm in need of either Marvel Legends Banshee or just the head (fellow customizers) for a decent price. Working on an Arcade custom and so far it's the only head I've found that'll do. Thanks guys/gals.

So I have to say that the more I mess around with it, the more I absolutely love this Darkhawk figure. At first I did not like how they did the wings but they really allow for some great swooping type poses using a flight stand. Now I just need to get an actual display area set up so I can take shots.

I would say Darkhawk is easily my favorite figure so far of 2017. What is everyone else liking so far this year?

Neca's ebay store is usually the best to order from. They usually get the items alot faster then the stores, but they usually hit you with that shipping that kinda hurts.

Yup. At Walgreen's you're not even allowed to chase after somebody who's clearly stealing items. We had a woman come in with literally an entire sack full of Head & Shoulder's and we couldn't do anything except shout at her and then, after she had already left the store, report the incident to police.

Becuase if the shop lifter gets injured the store can get sued.

We had a shop lifter run out the door with 2 laptops under his arm and he tripped over the island in the parking lot, breaking his leg. He sued the store and won $40,000 for it in addition to the store having to pay his medical bills.

thats odd. he still got paid even thou he wasnt a shopper? but was shoplifting? doesnt sound rite. and if that did happen, that money that he won, a good portion went to the lawyer from the criminal case for theft...

The times we live in I guess. I've never had an experience like that since.

Depends on the employee. I'm very familiar with the "If it's not on the shelves/pegs, then we don't sell it and no other store carries it" response from employees. But every now an then I'll find an employee who will check all around the store to help me find figures and even check the computer to see if the figures have hit the distribution center and which stores might have them. I wish I could say "Look for X Type of employee. They'll help you no matter what." but it's really luck of the draw for finding someone who's helpful.

Also, I finally caved and got a Colossus off Amazon. $30 with free shipping. I got a few 3&3/4 inch figures for custom reasons with it. Nice to be done with that wave.

And except for one shop they are selling at ridiculous amounts, and not a whole lot of it either, so at that point I assume it's mostly distribution and then a little scalping.

But we had one in particular that is not in business any longer, that was known for it, this was back in the late 90's and early 00s. You'd see the employees out while doing your own toy run (for just your stuff, maybe for a friend), and they'd have like a cart full of the figures. Same figures, one of each, I don't think it mattered. During one of the Star Wars figure releases two of them showed up and barged through with their carts, and pretty much just grabbed everything and threw it in their cart..then within minutes were trying to turn around and sell it to us..they actually got banned from the store because they hadn't even paid for it yet. I'm actually glad that store isn't around anymore.

Anyways...I digress but yeah...scalpers are scum.
We had a comic shop here for a short time that seemed to get all the new stuff and try to double charge what true would charge for a figure. Around the hulkbuster wave I found a vision in tru and made a tiny mark that most people unless moc collectors or myself would notice. A few days later when it was gone I drove to the shop and the had a vision figure for nearly double what he was going for in tru. I asked if I could see it in hand and wham found my mark. From that point I just refused to give them any of my money. In all for making a few bucks extra but 20+ on a brand new fig not hard to find in stores was and is just too damn much in my opinion. They had to shut down a few.months later because their employees turned the store into a 24/7pokemon card league game. Really turned off alto of people that used to shop their regularly.

My two favorites this year thus far have been Dazzler, and Spidey 2099, who I'm including since he came out in very late December. 2099 caught me off guard because I know nothing about the character, but I really dig the paint apps and the figure is pulled off rather nicely on the new body.

It's on the Bucky Cap mold, so it's the same feet that's been on over half of the Marvel Legends put out over the last 5 or 6 years, so nothing really new there...

Yep. I don't now the details, but it took a bit hit out of the stores profits for that year.

I finally saw the new X wave today at a TRU. They only had Dazzler and Polaris but it's okay since I didn't really want any from this wave. It is nice to see that somebody got them though.
