I wouldn't say it's intermittent sprinkling - even aside from movie figures, in just the past couple of months, we've gotten the Spider-UK body, the ANAD Spidey 2099 body, the Jackal body, the Angela body (and not just the character-specific sculptwork), the Colossus body, the Old Man Logan body, possibly some new base body for the Jane Foster Thor coming later this year (aside from the obvious character-specific sculptwork she has), and, unlike what was previously thought, a seemingly entirely new body for Moon Knight.

EDIT: I definitely have been noticing that "misaligned hinge" problem, but never anywhere near that badly.

Went to my local walgreens to drop off Arrival at RedBox. which was a horrible movie by the way and i went to browse the legends and guess who i saw, Invisible woman. 2 packs also. not into invisible woman but its good to know that fantastic 4 is coming out in my area. the figure that i am interested in is Human torch.

That being said i went up to the worker and told him when does the truck come evry week, then i went to another worker and she said the same so i just wanted to confirm. will be hunting alittle smarter now. im coming for you human torch...if they would have made her at least half transparent then i would have been interested in her but they just did the arm transparent, kinda lame.

I consider it to be intermittent simply because these new molds aren't being incorporated as much as they could be. The vast majority of the figures that have come out over the last year have still been on the Bucky Cap, Hyperion, and now Pizza Spidey mold. The Bucky Cap mold has been surprisingly resilient over the years, but I honestly cannot say the same of the other two, especially the Pizza Spidey mold, which many people started having issues with during the Sandman wave with Symbiotic Spidey. A number of people are already starting to report having issues with the "Park-Tech" Spidey already now that the MJ set is becoming more and more available, everything from loose hips (like mine) to the same shoulder issue that plagued the Symbi-Spidey. Progress has been even slower on the female molds, although honestly, I haven't had as many QC issues with my female figures outside of paint as I do my male figures.

The one non MCU figure out of the Mantis wave that incorporates a new body mold was Death's Head, and he was the one I had the least issues with in terms of miscast plastic and assembly, which didn't surprise me because of how new the Colossus body mold happens to be. The others that used older parts such as MJ, Pizza Spidey, and especially Ex Nihilo on the other hand, I ended up spending over an hour today shaving off extra bits of plastic, using hot water to free up or reshape joints, or had other issues right out of the box.

Of course, the Bucky Cap mold stayed was surprisingly issue free with Adam Warlock, so I have no explanation there other than that damn mold being resilient. Either that, or Hasbro has a factory of them still brand new in the box, ready to go when one wears out...lol.

I mean, they just introduced some of these molds, and they're not gonna suddenly start only using those molds. They definitely should eventually bring out molds to fill the space of Hyperion and Pizza Spidey, or at least make new molds of those bodies that fix some of the anatomical and quality issues with them (although Hasbro does seem to be starting to be more generous in terms of adding new molded parts to the Hyperion mold (Tombstone's unique upper torso, Odinson's similarly new upper torso, as well as unique left arm and thighs/boots) like they have been with the Bucky Cap body over the past year or two (baggier torso for Hulkbuster-wave Doctor Strange, unique armored arms and legs for Taskmaster, chainmail arms and legs for Hobgoblin, unique upper torso and winged arms for Darkhawk, baggy arms for Shatterstar, unique armored upper torso for Beetle)), but they gotta be gradual with phasing out some of the new molds. TBH, though, if they were gonna either make new molds for old bodies or just make completely new, slightly different/updated molds for the old bodies that fill the same niches, I'd prefer they, instead of replacing them oldest first, replace Pizza Spidey and Hyperion first, as those bodies definitely have more issues all around than Bucky Cap, as you've mentioned. I think the only issues I've ever had with the Bucky Cap body were bent limbs, and that was more due to how they were packaged than quality issues with the mold itself.

Walked into Walgreens the other day, just as they finished unpacking a case of Sues

Aside from her head being on the large side I wish they'd have done the semi transparent effect on her lower legs as well

Based on the photo, Ex Nihilo looks to be made of the same plastic as Nova-Prime and Cosmic-Ironman. Is that the truth of the matter? Is it gummy?

She looks great, and I agree that the ideal set-up would have included swap-able visible/invisible limbs instead of the Herbie pack-in. Oh well, I'm getting this one regardless. Hope I can find her and the MJ/Spidey two-pack soon.

I've been looking for the Invisible Woman for a while now. As of yesterday there still weren't any around here, but hopefully this week.

Evidently missed out on MJ 2 pack on the TRU website again.

The game is unwinnable.

Just found her today at my local Walgreens in the NYC tri-state. I like the Herbie, but agree (in part) that I would like to see another fig that is completely invisible.

For my fellow 'out in the boondocks' dwellers, who lack access to the big brick-and-mortar retailers:

HTS currently has both Warlock Wave Colossus & Sandman Wave Spidey 2099 in stock:

It's actually the exact opposite. The plastic is really hard and has a hollow feel to it. You can't see it in the photos either, but both of the ankle disks were improperly inserted into the legs due to the bad cuts into the grooves where they should go. Thank goodness the figure has a calf swivel, otherwise I wouldn't be able to get his toes to point straight at all.

I remember you in the past saying that you were interested in the Adam Warlock figure, and I really think you're going to like it. It's nothing extremely special since it's on the Bucky Cap mold, but I really love the use of the Pizza Spidey splayed hand (I wish they would have given any of our Vision releases one of those,) and the Magus head is terrific and menacing...I actually prefer that one over the Adam Warlock head. He also has a great bit of head tilt which allows him to look truly psychotic. I didn't care much for the bubble effects though, but I swapped his out with the ones that Shocker came with, and I honestly think it's a 100 percent improvement. The figure is growing on me, and truthfully, I've never once cared about Adam Warlock in any capacity...

Huh...Nihilo looks like it's implementing the exact same swirly plastic that produced a gummy feel for Nova-Prime, Cosmic-Ironman, Gladiator (one of the few that didn't end up gummy), Baf Ultron, and Baf Thanos. Maybe Hasbro had their manufactures "bake" (I've no idea what the process is called) Nihilo longer providing greater tensile strength for the plastic and a harder feel.

...I can't wait for Adam.

Thanks for the info and pic, bruh.

Do you know the UPC for the Walgreens Black Panther? I was surprised to find Sue today, especially considering that I haven't gotten whiff of BP...

Yeah, The figure has a similar feel in hand to Blizzard and has many of the same issues that figure had (or at least mine anyways) with excess plastic kibble, some stiff and misaligned joints, and visible swirls in the plastic if you look close enough. The plastic has a subtle metallic sheen to it, with some visible marbleization. Thankfully mine didn't have loose hips like Blizzard had.

No problem on the pic...I whipped that one up real quick just for you. I can't wait to see what you're able to do with it. Also, I should mention that the Dr. Strange "magical" effects look great with him as well.

As for the Black Panther UPC...sheesh...I got rid of the box a long time ago. I found mine at a Walmart in the border town of Nogales, just outside the Mexican/US border. I'm like you, I thought they would have been here by now. Something about that release just doesn't feel right.

Hmmm... If this is accurate, it kinda irks me that Lasher lost in the first rounds of the Fan's Choice Poll against Typhoid Mary, but he's still getting a figure before ANY of the other contestants, including the winner Songbird...

Yeah, we (the thread) talked about this a while back and your sentiment was exactly mine back then. I lamented that any symbiote was a wasted fan-vote spot because it was obvious that we would get them all (most) anyway given that we already had been provided with Venom, Carnage, Spider-Carnage, Toxin, Anti-Toxin, Superior Venom, Agent Venom, and Space Venom...I'm the Nostradamus of Marvel Hasbro figs...I'm not...but I am!

Tell me about it. It's annoying. Funny how numerous people complained about how "expensive" the non-exclusive was and how it wasn't worth the money creating psychological canards for not buying....and lo' behold, this exclusive is now as costly as the original was. I can't wait to see what nonsense people come up with for not wanting this one and reverting back to the old one that's now cheaper in spite of it having "that terrible blue wash." It's going to be hilarious to see people revising their rationale as the price for the original drops and the new one rises....

Only one of the stores I frequent had it. The same store at which I located Daredevil, Black Ant, Namor, and Punisher. I think its safe to say they're on top of it. I took bits of strategy from Boy Blunder - befriending the toy-aisle stock associate and store manager, SymbiSpidey's date provision, and Trivial Psychic's UPC/WIC info. At first, the stock manager said she didn't believe the info was accurate only to find it in her item tracker for the date Symbi reported. I just happened to pop in today to grab some medicine - I'm sick - and bingo! blango! she was there...the manager approaches me while I'm holding the fig and tells me that the stock-woman alerted him to give me a head-up...I thanked him holding the fig high and made my purchase. Good luck...try going to the store you've previously had success at...
