Indeed. If they would call them "expected by" as a guideline for when they should be in, but they got them earlier than that they could sell them, that would be fine.

So it all just comes down to that store's management and how closely they follow policies and street dates.
Yeah, no dice on the DP/Cyclops pack at my local TRU. I did notice that the MJ/Spidey packs had been moved from the Homecoming display at the front of the store, to the Marvel Legends/action figure section. I'll probably have to wait for those to sell out before I ever see DP/Cyclops.

I'm hoping the Warlock BAF is Hasbro's way telling us that the New Mutants are on the way. I'd love for Dani to finally get released, plus I'm really itching for a fiery, translucent Amara figure!!

Personally, I'm thinking that we'll get a Jim Lee Psylocke out of one of the X-waves before Storm, but why can't we get both?!
Based on the two previous X-Men waves we'll probably get a mix of different eras.

Wave 1
90's: Rogue
80's: Wolverine
Bronze Age: Phoenix
Modern/2000's: Kitty, Deadpool, Cable, Iceman, Havok
Classic: Juggernaut

Wave 2
90's: Cyclops, Shatterstar
80's: Warlock, Dazzler
Modern/2000's: Wolverine, Polaris, Colossus
Classic: Sunfire

Going by previous waves we'll get a good mixture and it looks like they're trying to complete the 90's/Jim Lee team. I really think Storm will be in the Jim Lee costume. Personally I want her first costume since the only Figure we've gotten of her have been 7 inch(Select), 5 inch(old ToyBiz box set) and 3/4 inch(Marvel Universe). She has so many classic looks that you can't go wrong.

I wouldn't be opposed to that first look, it's late era original Claremont run so totally game. Meanwhile I try to pretend that Claremont's "Storm: The Arena" just never happened so that second look is definitely not a keeper.

Edit: is it kind of sad I know where that outfit is from?

In the new X-men waves it will be BAC instead of BAF.
BAC stands for build a chair (professor x). It worked for Vulture so lets do it again, says hasbro.

If it meant we got a Shi'ar created hoverchair instead of a standard wheelchair, I would actually be okay with this.

Then Hasbro will move on to BAA as in Build an Accessory, then they will give the extra hands and heads in the other characters packaging causing you to need to buy them all to get their proper accessories. Lol good ol Ha$bro

As much as I would love Xavier in the hoverchair I'm not a fan of the Build a Accessory concept. I prefer BAF's to be large like Red Onslaught, Hulkbuster, Juggernaut, Abomination, etc. Hasbro did his hoverchair in the Marvel universe line years ago but I doubt they would do something like that in 6 inch.

Maybe they can do him as a store exclusive, amazon, entertainment Earth, etc exclusive as a boxed figure.

Yeah, it's been a good mix, but I'm honestly not sure Hasbro has any method to their madness. lol

i dont usually get into the "speculation" topics too much..
but..

1. the storm from the (i think) toys r us..hard to find..x-wave would be considered from WHAT era??

2. though the jim lee storm would find nicely in the scheme of things.. i'd prefer the original version over that one. PLUS..i think this version would look great next to a Black Panther figure (esp the newest release) But for some reason i don't feel like they'd release FIRST APPEARANCE Storm.

STORMZES...

Checked the TRU in Clarksville today and no signs of the Dark Phoenix 2-Pack. Just 1 or 2 MJ/Peter packs and a whole mountain of that Vision/Falcon Cap/Kate Bishop 2 pack.

The TRU wave Storm was based off of Kris Anka's Uncanny X-force design(2013).

After reflecting back on this post, I'm really wanting a Storm/Black Panther 2-pack next year for the film release. I wonder if it's even an option with Hasbro's division of the Marvel franchises.

I've seen a lot of that 3 pack recently even at TRUs where I'm 99% sure they were sold out before, but it could just be my imagination playing tricks on me.

Here's the thing, though - there's nothing about the uniform costume that says 'Storm' except for the fact that it's Ororo in the costume. Hell, she's even sporting the least 'Storm'-like hair she's had in the main continuity. I'd be fine if we ended up with a figure of her in the uniform, but not at the expense of her in a more Storm-like costume. In a boxed set of some sort with other X-Uniform characters, sure. But Storm in the classic blue-and-gold looks really out of place and out-of-character, and I can all but guarantee that people would be rightfully miffed if that got a single release over nearly any other costume she wore.

Personally, I'd love to see one of her outfits from the post-OZT, pre-'The Twelve' era, maybe with two heads (one with the short-cropped hair and long strands, one with the long hair and tiara)
