I'm in full agreement that we should have gotten Yellowjacket, but as another poster stated, his character went through too many different design changes that they didn't even bother with him.

And once again....that's why the movies exist.

Like I said, we had the ENTIRE Guardians team from the 1st movie released within one wave, and that Guardians movie had even more against it than Black Panther does since at least the character had prior exposure in Captain America Civil War.

He got his arm cut off. They went a different route from the comics, but he's Black Panthers number one advisery and one of the 3 villains in the movie. I don't however expect them to be just side characters. I can't say too much, but these characters are going to be represented to the fullest.

The first picture is M'Baku aka Man Ape. The woman on he left is Nakia, a member of the Dora Milaje, the woman on the right is Shuri, T'Challa's younger sister. The other members of the Dora Milaje wear similar outfits as Nakia.

It's irrelevant. That right there alone is enough to nearly fill an entire wave of BP figures, but even then you're not understanding the argument.

It doesn't have to be all MCU characters. I just posted my idea of an ideal wave of Black Panther figures a couple of pages back that was evenly split between comic and movie figures (not including the BAF). Every character was deeply relevant to the Black Panther mythos (outside of just appearing on the same team) and I even included an A-list anchor in Storm who was a relevant character in modern Black Panther comics.

yea figured the villian would be the only one with a semi hero or villian type costume , i get it the girls do look cool but T'Challa's sister never wore an actual costume? they look like the monks from dr strange to me but with a BP area vibe thrown in

T'Challa's sister was Black Panther herself, actually.

they have ties with the character thats all that should matter , not that the characters are white comic or movie.

If you haven't realized by now, each movie wave of Marvel Legends typically revolves around a certain theme relevant to the movie/show it's based around. Doctor Strange featured a bunch of mystical/magical characters, the Marvel Knights wave revolves around street level heroes, Guardians of the Galaxy had a lot of cosmic/space themed heroes and of course the Avengers waves predominantly feature Avengers.

Black Panther's movie is all about Wakanda and, by extension, Africa, yet most of the characters selected have nothing to do with the theme.

You didn't see Hasbro use Doctor Strange as justification to give us an Illuminati wave instead of a Doctor Strange wave, so why is this being done for Black Panther?

I would prefer either, but did not expect the MCU version. I was expecting Black Panther, Killmonger, M'Baku, Nakia, and Okoye from the MCU, but would've taken their comic counterparts in a heartbeat.

You nailed it! Also, Ant-Man had Wasp, Giant Man, and a nice little nod but not so much with MCU Ultron being the BAF. Lol.

unless you are one of the people like love to find the script and read it before the actual movie comes out how do u know its only going to take place there? even if its not based on the movie youre saying BP only stays in africa? how was he even in the airport scene in civil war then? i think you guys are reading to into this i hope they end up not doing another BP wave due to the amount of complains it has , just saying just throw him in a wave and call it a day lol, i mean daredevil never got his own wave and he i am sure is more well known then BP just saying.

You don't have to read the script to know that it takes place primarily in Wakanda.

Funny enough, the Marvel Knights wave officially isn't even strictly Daredevil's wave but he has more characters relevant to his story arcs (Daredevil, Elektra, Punisher, Bullseye) than Black Panther's wave does.

Seriously the Thor movies were some of the lower points of the MCU for me but this just looks....amazing.
Yes, Ragnarok looks like it's going to be a game-changer for the series, and I love that 110%. I, too, felt that Thor's chapters in the MCU to be the weaker or, in a way, not relevant. From this trailer, it looks like all that may change. One negative is that this trailer really made me wish we got the version of Valkyrie in her official silver valkyrie armor! She's killin it!!

As far as this 3-4 page arguement is going. I feel hasbro and their marvel legends line does a good balance of both comic and MCU related characters.

You want to talk about an over influx of mcu figures? Go check out marvel select... they mainly push mcu figures. That was one of the main reasons i got into legends.

Now as far as the argument goes with making a complete mcu wave of black panther figures. No, why would they ? They don't do that with any wave. it's usually split half and half kinda. Example current homecoming wave.

Do i believe they should make a wave based on next years movie? No, it wouldn't be a big seller. Besides fans of BP and comic junkies no one knows whom they all are and and that would be a waste because 3/4 of the wave would be peg warming. Now if they were to make the Wlwave half mcu and half comic inspired BP characters that would most definitely sell.

And last but not least black bolt and namor on that wave is odd, however remember these are childrens toys, they (hasbro) isn't looking to appeal mainly with the 20 to mid 40 year olds they want to appeal to kids and parents. Remember it's about making money...

An interesting take from SDCC is Hasbro mentioned that different factories produce figure from the Black Series and Legends. Lgends may have different factories that can cause differences in quality and paints and so on.

I never knew that, and Hasbro mentioned they were approached by one of their factories with samples showing what they can produce with new facial technology.

It's nice to see Hasbro talk openly about the process and such. It makes me feel like I am no longer blowing 20 on garbage, but rather they are earning my 20 bucks.

BP wave looks nice as I love MCU figures and expect some nicely sculpted figs based on the movie stills. I have no idea the politics in this one, but hope the figure turn out great. But I am prepared for the onslaught of leftist media outlets congratulating Disney for being progressive. Can;t we just have the movie and not make a big deal?

I almost vomited when I saw Squirrel Girl's Eisner. Ideology over quality.

I don't think people want a wave of all MCU characters. Just a wave of all Black Panther related characters. Can be from the MCU or the comic.

I'd recommend looking at that suggested wave I posted a couple of pages back. A solid mix of MCU and comic figures, with two A-listers included for good measure, a fan-requested villain redo, the main villain from the movie (who could probably sell well based on the fact that he's one of the hottest actors in Hollywood) and a supporting character with an interesting and unique design.

That wave right there would be stronger than the Doctor Strange wave they released last year, so I don't know why people think making a wave full of all Black Panther characters is some impossible task.

cause not many people outside of reading their comics knows them , claw i seen in video games same with bp and pretty much most from this wave finding out they have a connection besides just being an aveanger is great to know but outside of that anyone out there that hasnt read a solo series BP comic can u tell me without researching anything who else is in black panther's storyline? hero or villian (besides ones talked about here)

Anybody else want a MCU villain filler wave? Wouldn't that be nice? Doesn't even have to be a full wave with a BAF, it could just be like a half wave or whatever. Characters like Crossbones from Civil War, Yellowjacket, Ultron on his own (maybe battle damage deco), Herman Schultz Shocker (don't think we're getting one at the moment), Ronan, and a Chitauri for army-building. If they had to throw in a BAF it could be the Chitauri chariot or maybe a new actually in-scale Iron Monger (the individual 6" figure from the first movie is technically too small). It's fun to dream.

On the BP wave...I can see that there seems to be a problem!...Is it common sense thinking for most of us to think that Hasbro would make a MCU ML wave with the characters who are actually star in that same MCU movie? Common sense is not so common, in this case and other, it seems when it comes to Hasbro!..Another case in point, where is Heimdall?

Note: Don't underestimate the selling value of obscure or characters who are not headlines...Borr, Thor (JF), Superior Spider, Spider Venom, Warlock, Space Venom, Cosmic Spiderman, Mlles Morales, Angela, Drax, Gamora, Rocket Raccoon, and Scourge are Marvel characters that I never really new about until Marvel Legends promoted and produced them...And, sometimes it does matter which character Marvel Legends chooses to produce, but what end product looks like matter more...For instance, I'm not really a MCU Marvel Legends fan, but MCU Hulk Buster and Black Panther were made so well, I had no choice but to add them to my collection...When I choose a figure to purchase, I must like the story line and the background of the character, then I must like the visuals, how well the figure is made to represent the likeness of the superhero or villain...

Note Il: Rants, complaints, and critiques on Marvel Legends are valuable for all of us...It keeps Hasbro on its toes before it produces the final product, And it aids me in choosing which figures I will purchase and which figures to stay clear of because they have defective joints, bad paint apps, weak articulation, etc...

Keep ranting, complaining, and critiquing Arkers, and thank you all Arkers for your opinion because your advice is better than all the experts, when it's comes to reviewing and picking the best of the Marvel Legends line.
