I know this is a Marvel Legends thread but forgive me for a second, I am beyond furious at scalpers. I was working kind of far from where I live today and there was a ToysRUs. Just so you know this happened at the White Plains ToysRUs in New York. I found Trypticon and I was super happy, sat through a bunch of traffic and I finally got home about 2 hours later. I open it up and somebody swamped it for another figure scalpers are the biggest pieces of shit on the planet.

Thats jank and the worst part is that if ya try to take it back they may think you did it. Anything fully enclosed in a box should have some sort of window then bs like this wouldnt happen, except at wal mart. Repackers rank right up there scalpers, lawyers and the people who created to street dates.
I think theft is a big reason by the TRU's around me don't regularly get in new product. |

One of my Walmarts put the X-men and GoTG ML figs on clearance already... all the pegs were empty, but found a stashed Nebula which I bought for 11 bucks. Whoohoo.

I greatly appreciate that support! This is why I love this community. It's been a long evening and a very long story lol. Sadly, my local TRU will not accept the return, despite corporate policy and a phone call to the original store. I know who I'm calling tomorrow. I'll have to go back to the original store next week. Fun stuff.
Anyway, great shots of all the recent purchases! Always good to see some cool pictures! |

What's really weird about that is that it looks like the figure it was swapped out for was never removed from its original packaging. Is there any chance it could be a factory mistake? Maybe it was a good thing. I've heard that they new Trypticon has issues with its hips. Either way I hope you're able to get your money back. |

I picked up my Thor Legends today. Thoughts:
Ares: I just can't bring myself to like this figure. He's painted nicely and he does have a couple of new parts like ankle pivot. But the figure just depresses me because it reminds of the time when Marvel Legends was about to die. His spot should have been given to Valkyrie and the MCU Thor given an extra unhelmeted head. Young Thor: He's nice but a little bland when compared to the rest of the wave. Loki: This is probably the best MCU Loki we've gotten but his face and skin tone look a little strange. His headdress is soft so there isn't any problem getting it on to his head. Wish he would have came with some weapons though. Hela: This figure is pretty great, especially the head with the horns/spines. The unmasked head isn't as good as Gamora but I still like it. It would have been cool if they had include a swappable hand holding Thor's hammer like in the trailer. MCU Thor: He's a solid figure but I'm not sure if I like him better than the AOU Thor. Either way, he's still pretty great. Lady Thor: Probably my favorite of the wave. The SDCC version does look a little nicer but I doubt I'll hunt it down to replace this one. Hulk: Great BAF. I'd say that Hasbro will retool him into a plain/standard Hulk for Infinity War since they can reuse the head, chest, and arms (mostly). Final Thoughts: I have a few QC issues to sort out but it's nothing I can't handle. My biggest complaint about this wave is that the capes wobble around when you move the figure. I'm tempted to super glue them in but I'm still hesitant to do this, especially for the MCU figures since they may not spend very much time wearing their capes in the movie. |

Start hitting those Walgreens guys and gals. I hit the 3 in my area and found a bunch.
No Blade found but (and no DD and only 1 Punisher) did find Hela, Elektra, Jessica Jones, and Bullseye. I did notice that Aries does have blue and silver eyes, where the old BAF had normal eyes. The store where I bought the 4 I got, store 3 , the Manager rung me up and told me she had just put them out Friday afternoon. I had to explain Female Thor to her cause she only knew movie Thor and did not understand the toy. They were also not in the figure area, but in the summer area where they were still sitting on 4 Sue Storm. The other 2 stores I checked had them in the normal toy area. store one- One full case worth or Thor Legends ![]() store two- 2 Thor and 2 Knights Legends ![]() store 3- 4 Thor and 4 Knights legends. which is where I bought mine. ![]() Jessica Jones UPC if anyone needs it. ![]() Last edited by Phantomcrow; 07-28-2017 at 09:33 PM.. |

Do you think that movie Hela is worth replacing my SDCC one with?

IF you are not hung up on the Comic vs MCU differences then yes. The head crown is more involved, the MCU Hela has a sculpted bodysuit with WAY more detail. the colors are much more subtle vs neon green on the SDCC one. And she come with a nifty sword and the Cate Blanchett unmasked head that looks really good. Also I feel like she is more realistic in the body type, less boobs and more hips than the comic version.

Hela is 7ft tall in the comics, so her figure ought to be tall. I'm keeping my SDCC figure and getting the MCU one, they are both so nice.

So Considering Deadpool now is getting his own wave and if he gets a future wave[s], these are figures i'd like to see:
- Siryn - Death (erm it might work... ghost rider has a skull) - Ultimate Deadpool (from MUA or shattered dimensions) - Classic Task Master (though i think he's more Avengers character) - Evil Deadpool - Ajax Comic - Typhoid mary - T-ray - Vertigo - Black Tom Cassidy. - Hit monkey (i woulndt mind seeing a re-release of him) the rumored of Strong guy being the baf , being not true... It made me think what if they were talking about possibly blockbuster or T-ray? |
