Blade, X2 Magneto, X2 Nightcrawler, X2 Cyclops, and several of the Spider-Man movie figs (from the first film in particular) looked dead on to their movie counterparts. They also had detailed sculpts, paints, and articulation at a level that Hasbro only recently is finally starting to replicate.

You're either that hard to please, in denial, or are hating. Possibly all three...but to each his own...we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Oh, calm down. Slang has literally been a thing as long as language has. What kids are doing with language today is what's basically always been done to language primarily by young people. That's a huge part of how language evolves and changes over time, and always has been.

Yeah, the only real problem with those figures aesthetically was proportions and clean integration of articulation into the sculpt. In the other aspects, they were basically as dead-on as possible at the time.

While that does seem like a potentially likely avenue for that, I honestly don't know if his hoverchair is big enough to justify the $40 figure + vehicle price tag.

Kids and cuz are both slang. "I feel for <x>" is idiomatic. Hypocritical isn't slang, but it is relevant.

No, Sasquatch would require a fully brand new sculpt depicting body hair & be 10 inches tall.
The torso of the new Man-Thing figure is covered with a soft plastic shell that has the sculpted vines and moss. There is a hard plastic torso underneath the soft shell, meaning the shell could be swapped for a new sculpt. The whole figure feels softer than normal and I suspect that some of the limbs are made the same way. Also, we had the scale discussion the other week. Hasbro will never get scale right since it usually changes from artist to artist so there isn't much point in try to recreate it when it will probably be different before the figure is released. Being in the "ball park" is what they need to shoot for.

No, kids only know of characters like Cap, BP, and War Machine due to the movies & toons based on the movie characters. I bet if you ask the avg MCU fan under 21, who's Namor? They'll be totally clueless cuz he hasn't made his MCU debut yet. I bet until CW, not many of them had ever heard of the Black Panther. And before Cap 2 "TWS" none of them knew who the hell he was. I know of all of them cuz I actually read about them as a kid. I really feel for kids today. It's no wonder the avg kid today has a low reading level. There is nothing wrong with kids being introduced to comic characters through media. It might even be the stepping stone for them to start reading comics. That's how it was for me. And kids don't need to have wealthy parents to read comics. Most TPBs come down in price on Amazon if you wait a few months and Comixology runs weekly sales that offer single issues for $1 and TPBs for $4-5. Marvel also has an online subscription service that lets you read as much as you want. There are other, cheaper options to traditional comic shops which are few and far between these days.

Like you said, I love how subtle the change in Ego's demeanor is between sculpts. That's super impressive and really works with the character in the film. Also, I had to go look up the song as soon as I saw the pics...love that song, though after GOTG2 I see it in and all new way. Bittersweet.

I am lookin for the spiderman/Mary Jane and dark phoenix/cyclops 2 packs... I've been searching in the Chicagoland area with no luck so far... I really would like to avoid paying scalper prices if I could! I would be willing to settle for Mary Jane and dark phoenix with all heads loose if I have to... I am willing to buy them or I have a pretty big collection to use as trade bait... Please get back to me if you can help me out and any information on this matter would be greatly appreciated!

Source, perhaps?

And even if that is true, and not a grossly inaccurate and simple reading of studies and statistics with much more complex and grey conclusions and implications than you think, is that their fault, or the failure of the educational system in America?

I really liked how Ego liked that song and compared it to himself but for the wrong reasons. He loved what the lyrics said but didn't understand what they really meant. It was a nice little touch to understanding how he thinks.

Good luck with that. I looked everywhere in my area and the only closest place that had them was like 100 miles away. Heck I even went to the famous Frank and Sons and the guy that usually has the good stuff had none...but I did pick up the Thor and Netflix wave for a nice price (better than online imho), but no luck with the A-Force or TRU 2 pack set..sigh..

Also Halo series 2 DOES exist!!! TRU exclusive sighted today. They only had their exclusive but the back of the package showed the rest of the line.
I am really happy that Buck will be coming with a Nathan Fillion head.

Is that DD really an exclusive, meaning he will never show up at retail?

so i missed the golden era of BAFs.

That's odd. I wonder if it's an error if they'll wait to ship until the 14th anyways. regardless I placed my order for the 5 pack. I hope to get it, but if I don't get it for some reason, I'm not going to stress too much. It comes down to really one figure I want mostly at this point.

Thank you for being ever vigilant!

Just called Hasbro, they said everything will still go on sale on the 14th, apparently stuff was up for a bit this morning as a mistake. Here's hoping I can still get the Asgard set.
