Hi, there, not post for awhile (cause work/life/head space) but follow daily all the comments and it's always entertaining and helpful.
As a collector from the UK, as some of you know, just wanted to finally add my two cents about some topics.
RE: SDCC reveals:
Cable I'm thrilled about. Even if I stop reading most comics round Liefeld era, now I see them as nostalgic. Never got the last one so this is perfect.
Domino, I am very happy about. Not the biggest fan, but the previous Domino was so ugly, I never have her on display. This one I will.
X-23: I like her but I hope her teeth don't look like she's got toothpaste on her.
Songbird: yes and more yes. I do have a Thuderbolts display, and the previous prototype was too of the few (and great actually) issues, where she had short-spiky hair.
Black Panther wave: I am sorry, but I don't hate the previous trunks Namor, but I will be getting the update, thank you. Black bolt I have the first one, but the open mouth is nice and dramatic, so it's a must. Cannot wait to see the MCU rest of the wave, as I am loving the face printing technique.
Medusa Walgreens: Huge disappointment. I was screaming when they finally did a figure of her. Now, not so much. Needs to be a new Kirby or Byrne sculpt.
Oh I forgot! No idea of Gwenpool, but that figure just screams fun. Miley Cyrus as superhero.
Widow in motorcycle and classic Widow... That's a bit naughty, as the motorcycle one has classic head and bob cut, when the classic has Mary Janes head. So I will be getting both, and put the classic Widow head on classic body. MJ's head? No idea what I'll do.
Classic Cap I might get. I'm still using series one ML for my Avengers display, and now he's too small. But I still don't love the head too much.
Not that much into that Lizard or Apocalypse (I never like the character); gotta see the rest of the wave.
I love the 60's, 70's and 80's looks, so a Jocasta, Moondragon, Nighthawk, Gargoyle etc would have been a winning ticket for me. But if rumour is true, Moondragon will be on the second Avengers wave next year. With Quasar. Now. That's more me.

I've talked to some friendly employees about this and from what they showed me (they actually were just then opening a box) they don't typically receive the whole cases. What happens apparently is that Gamestop works on some kind of distribution center situation where the cases are opened and then split up to send out to the local stores. For me at the time this was the Vulture wings BAF Homecoming wave. So my Gamestop only got sent 2 Vultures, a homemade Spidey, Beetle, and Tombstone. That's all that was in the box they got. They checked on the computer for me and it showed that the Moon Knight and other figures from the case were sent to a Gamestop about a 30 minute drive away. It makes no sense but that seems to be how they work. Also, Lando is a good figure. He could arguably be the best in his wave considering we should have gotten him a damn long time ago since he's one of the main hero characters.

Its a standard ball socket head. Should just pop right off.

I actually bought it online when it first showed up on Walmart.com. Sorry for getting your hopes up about it being local.

I'd love a new Hercules as well. I want to eventually get an Under Siege-era Avengers collection going.

That is really odd but I guess makes sense to someone up the corporate latter.

I could only managed to go on Sunday, as I had work commitments, so the Phoenix/Cyclops set was gone >sniff<, and I was exhausted, as I had a busy day and hospital vigil the previous night (all is well now). So I wasn't thinking clearly.

It was at the Olympia exhibition centre, and it's two huge rooms annexed by a tunnel.
The only two stalls carrying ML were each at different rooms.
I did a bee line for one, saw the Netflix and Thor waves, but I wanted the Phoenix two pack, so I dashed to the other room. Sold out. Plenty of MJ/Spidey, and... Human Torch.

Fine I thought. I'll compare prices. Went back to previous stall. No Torch. I had a budget for six figures, and I just was so tired. Run back to other store. Torch was gone.

Idiot. Now you gotta understand how difficult and expensive is to get ML in the UK. We pay at least double for each figure, due to taxes. And I'm savvy, and done this for awhile. But I fudged it.
Anyway, went back for what I knew was the hardest to get: Hela.
Gone. By then I'm so upset, and tired. I asked as I saw mail boxes, behind. The guy talk to another guy, then came back to me and told me he had it, but it would be 10£ more, as he had to opened a fresh case, and obviously she was the one in demand.
I said, whatever. Let's have it.
Nevermind, I ended with Hela, Jessica, Blade, Elektra and Jane Thor ( which I didn't need as I ordered the SDCC exclusive set, thinking it'll be hard to find. Guess what's? It's not.
The bloody A-Force set is the hard one so far. And Sif is the most wanted figure. Go (sorry) figure.
This is how much harder and far more expensive is to collect ML in Europe.

I quite like the Hercules I've got. He's happy!
But, but, but. Are they ever gonna make CM2 classic?
I'm thinking of putting Sharon Carter's arms on the new Monica to get rid of the stupid trench coat. I loved Nextwave, but it was a gimmick joke. We need that Under Siege line up. Dr Druid and Blackout with crazy eyes...

Congrats, did you see the stall selling loose ML/DCUCs? I was there Sunday to and managed to score an Absorbing Man wave Kraven for £20.00 and Netflix Punisher for 23.00, I hope some UK stores get the netflix wave soon! Congrats on Hela, she seems to be the most popular fig from the wave!

Sorry, to go off topic for a second, but I have to comment on that horrible, horrible sight of crashing shelves killing thousands of money. And the Hot toys bit.

Now, I own about 11 statues. NO MORE! Those things break. A lot. I have about four glued up (Sue, Polaris, Dazzler). I won't buy no more. I have them on the fireplace so no animal or human can't get near them. I love them, but it breaks my heart when accidents happen.
About Hot Toys: besides the prohibited price, they have cloth material. Clothed material don't last. I have about 12, which I love, but I'm wondering if to sell them. Plus space.

RE: Black Panther exclusive. I saw it. I didn't get it. Looooove BP, but I have two that look amazing, Sorry three. So, it does exist, but I had no interest.

Finally, A-Force. What's up with them? Are they getting a general release? Why are not being told by Hasbro? They sell for 40 quid each, and I need them all. Yes even that boring looking She-hulk. It would be reaaally nice if Hasbro gave a due date, so the scalpers bring the price down. So annoying.

BTW, in London, extra space is very limited, but I have 11 cabinets, and whatever in my spared room for figures. Here's a pic.

I'm waiting on SDCC set and Phoenix/Cyclops to arrived. Cannot wait.

Best of luck to you all, fellow hunters.

Yes I did, thank you. But I had a budget because, there's so much new stuff. So I didn't get any. I collect DC too. But Marvel was my first love.

Now, the best places on the UK are Toysintheattick, Kapow, Inthemandtoys, and my favourite, Orbital comics. But my LCS for some reason don't get TRus exclusives, but they do get SDCC exclusives. They still have the Vault and The Collector set.

I'm almost done, just need the ladies set now. But I'm out of budget till next month. Probably will pay three times more.

I was pleased! Hela looks great, but actually the Cate Blanchett sculpt, I wasn't too thrilled about. Something about the top lip. I really like Blade! But Elektra's forearms are a disaster. Face is amazing thou.

It's amazing Ghost Rider didn't die. But when I see that Rogue smashed, knowing how much it goes for, it makes me a bit sick in the stomach. Poor guy/girl. And that's why I stick to plastic fantastic.

ah no problem, I'm sure it will show up here at some point...I guess...maybe. LOL. amazon third party sellers still have it for twice MSRP and I'm not going to pull the trigger for that. It's not like I don't have two other BP at all. be different if I didn't. but I'm glad some people, yourself included, are getting them.

The bloody A-Force set is the hard one so far. And Sif is the most wanted figure. Go (sorry) figure.
This is how much harder and far more expensive is to collect ML in Europe.
Wow. I would have been so frustrated and disgusted by that point I would have probably just left and pitched a fit in my head in my car. I'm glad you ended up at very least with what you did. Interesting that the SDCC set is easy to find over there. Maybe it will be here too.

Best of luck to you all, fellow hunters.
also, I'm not sure anyone is really sure what's up the a-force set, TRU included. They were being sold by EE at SDCC, and then they were on sale on the TRU website for like 30 minutes to an hour on 8/20 (first day of SDCC). between the two of those I know myself and two other arkers for sure got the set, but there may be others too that haven't spoken up. a lot of what people here have gotten seems to be piecemeal off evilbay. as for general release no one seems to know. Because the set sold out online so quickly, what I've read from other sets is that TRU reps were not able to tell people if they were releasing or not later on, or even worse if they were even going to get to retail at all. There's obviously a demand for it, the question is will Hasbro go back into production on the molds. I would think so, given it's just production and distribution not sculpting and casting....seems like such a waste of money for them to do such a limited quantity of. Made worse by definitely making it seem like it was going to be a brick and mortar release as well as their website, to end up being what may be just an EE convention exclusive and TRU website exclusive for a short time. People are posting about TRU cancelled orders that were placed within two hours of when they went up for sale....just an awful sales set up for what's an awesome set. I am sorrowful for all those who are wanting this set and may or may not get a chance to get it.
