I wonder why the prices spike on some of these figures. The Spidey from the Space Venom wave jumped from 9.99 to 17.99 in a week. I knew I should have snagged him while he was cheap. That on Walmart.com and Amazon.

well that's a lie... i found the Spider-man vulture 2-pack there.
But their figure selections suuuuuucks.
only thing worse than their Legends selection is there Star Wars black series 6" collection...
sweet lord ..how many constable Zuvios were made?!?!?!

then again...this is Walmart where i was talking to the dingleberry that always hides figs (and he sells them) and told me how he FOUND figs that ANOTHER dude hides there as well so...it's possible it's always either 1. immediately picked clean.. or 2. has shit hidden all over
Hehe....dingleberry...

Only one of the four closest ones to our place is a 24-hour store.

Yea, by me the only 24 hour Wal-Mart's are the new ones that have the grocery store inside. Up until maybe a few years ago walmart and target weren't allowed to have grocery stores in their stores because the grocery union fought them.

Nope, that's the Universe one from a few years back. I personally like him better than the old build a figure.
The chair isn't a custom, that came as a set in the DCU subscription service.

Bit of a disappointing experience with Walmart recently. On Wednesday I ordered the Marvel Legends 12" Hulk from their website since I had a good experience ordering the ML Black Panther from them. Plus, I had some gift cards that would cut the price down by half and the figure had free two day shipping so it seemed like a win. I placed my order and was told that today, Saturday, was the expected delivery date. I didn't think much about it until Friday when I still hadn't received a shipping notice or tracking number. Chatted with a CS rep who told me they weren't willing to ship the figure to me since the closest DC didn't have it in stock and that it might be 3-10 business days before they either shipped the figure from the next closest DC or they canceled the order. I went ahead and canceled my order with Walmart, making sure they gave me back all of my money, and put an order in with Amazon for the Hulk. On the bright side, Force Friday is coming up so my gift cards can be used for that. I might try ordering from the again by doing a store pick up but they won't be able to compete with Amazon pulling stunts like this.

Interesting. Maybe it's because I'm in Texas but every Walmart in my area is 24-hour and they've always sold groceries. Targets selling groceries is a new thing for me though.

Yea, I've noticed it's a state to state thing. I remember being so jealous of the Target/Wal-Mart's in Iowa when I'd go to visit family out there. NJ has all sorts of weird rules so we typically never follow everyone else.

Here in florida we have some of the 24 hour stores and some that regular. I think it also depends on the area it's in as well.

We also have neighborhood wal-marts around here too. Never been to one of them.

I like the Toybiz bullseye much better than the new one, the Hasbro version only has the updated joints that are better. As for Manthing, I think both are pretty good. Hasbro is more of of an ogre version and Toybiz is more of a horror movie version.

The Hasbro Marvel Legends Nemesis wave. If you meant what story....the Welcome Back Frank story arc by Ennis and Dillon?...or somewhere around there, I'm not totally sure. Some Punisher expert will hopefully correct me if I'm wrong...

[QUOTE=DarkToyLord;721665]thanks.

i LIKE that Thing figure.....it's sized properly for Marvel Select figs...PLUS ..i like the look of it with the Legends figs.
Benny is cool and he's been drawn that way here or there.

Sorry , Thing is not Hulk sized, just cause some artists take artistic license with the size of certain characters, doesn't mean that's their actual hgt. Ben Grimm is 6ft 500lbs, in both human & monster form.

This awesome custom by vidmouse is a perfect rendition of how a classic 6 inch scaled Thing figure should look!

While visiting my hometown today (where it's a barren wasteland for collecting) I found a lone Loki, and his face actually looked pretty good. Caved and bought it.

It has been sitting in the package since I got home. Not sure whether to open it or return it. Was originally planning to wait and buy him for cheap, but also nervous I may not find a head as good looking as this one.

I don't think this look ever officially appeared in the comic, although it might have on a variant cover. It did however make an appearance in the jungle level of the 2005 Punisher video game, which featured scenes and levels deeply inspired by the "Welcome Back Frank" story arc. The video game also had a screenplay from Garth Ennis and featured Thomas Jane as the voice of Frank Castle.

It's an ok figure, but has that horrible Nick Fury body mold, with an even worse set of wrists that makes holding his weapons a bit difficult since they lack proper swivels.

Thanks, Triv. I forget which version was the variant, but is the other fig from that particular story? I have the fig in question, but not the other variant...

The camo version was the variant while the black t-shirt version was the regular figure. The t-shirt version was based off of the cover artwork to that Marvel Knights series if one were to go by the way the skull on the t-shirt is designed.

as to not start the same debate\discussion for the 11-teenth time on artist's renditions vs actual heights (as if they were real)......
in my statement i said "i like" ...twice. Therefore no need for you to be sorry. You can enjoy that 'perfect' version too.

^^^

That's the funny 'thing' (hah) about subjective tastes. I'm not a fan of that Ronan/2pack Thing. The smooth 'slate' look that John Byrne created for Ben is my favorite interpretation of the character. As a result, my preferred figs are the TB series 2 Thing and the TB FF Classics series 1 Thing. I don't begrudge anyone liking Hasbro's Thing. Especially since I was able to get $30 for it, something that surprised me at the time, when I sold it with other unwanted Legends.

Nice shots. Where did you get those crumbling columns from?

And having picked it up, Thunder Launch Thing is still my favorite Legends-scale Thing thus far.

They're Matrix accessories...

That's the TB FF Classics series 1 Thing in your posted pic. I was just referring to that...
