Sasquatch & Manthing are not the same buck. Manthing is about an inch smaller & has sloped hunchback type shoulders/back. They might share some small parts , but not exactly the same buck. Totally different sculpting on the lower arms/legs. TB version was very nice & looked just like JBs version, but was too skinny and the excess amount of articulation while cool for putting him in great action poses, got very loose after time and made the figure floppy. The Hasbro version is buff and has the right amount of articulation that he won't be flopping off the shelf no matter how many times you put him in different action poses. IMO, Hasbro has been outdoing just about every TB fig they re-do and Sasquatch is no exception. I look forward to their versions of classic TB wave 1 Ironman, wave 2 Thing & the Thor from the Giantman BAF wave whom IMO, is the best classic Thor figure ever!

I am probably late to the game on this but is that the unmasked Silk head being used for Jewel? Cage looks awesome! DD looks nearly the same as the prior release. I am continually amused by Hasbro's kit-bashing of their own Iron Fists into new Iron Fist figures....

Agreed. Although he has gotten quite a bit more exposure within the last 6 months as part of the Alpha Flight team in the Captain Marvel book. That might up his recognition factor slightly. I actually would not mind having Aurora and Puck with their uniforms from that series either. |

I was hoping they would use the extra silk head for Psylocke but now that it's on Jewel I'm hoping for a new sculpt.

This Daredevil is actually more different than it might seem at first. The one released in the Hobgoblin wave was a slightly dark red, and the boots/gloves/belt/etc. were a brighter red, but this time, it's the reverse: the suit is a brighter red, and the boots/gloves/belt/etc. are a slightly darker red.

New guys into the collection this weekend. Klaw is garbage, Constrictor is surprisingly a decent figure, except for the leg molds not matching up. Love the paint on Extremis, and Ghost Rider is pretty nice. He's definitely a load of fodder if I get tired of him. I just need that lower Terrax torso now.

Not technically a Marvel Legend, but managed to finally finish up King Shark, and he's easily my favorite BAF of the year. He's big like a Select figure, very well sculpted, can strike some cool poses despite his articulation limitations, and makes a great villain for Namor to tangle with...

While the Silk head looks fantastic, I'm a big Psylocke-buff and another re-purposed head* for Betsy would make me lose it!!

Also, anyone know of more young female heroes to add to the A-Force? I have Nico and Kamalah, but are there any more that aren't Spider-Girls? Thanks. Last edited by Zorglorfian; 09-02-2017 at 09:24 PM.. |

That King Shark is great but being as I don't collect the DC line, I'll just wait till the classic Namor comes out & throw Tiger shark at him. |

When I saw that they gave Jewel/Jessica the Cindy Moon headsculpts at SDCC, it left me pretty sour about the box set. I'll be picking it up still, mostly because it's another chance to get Luke at a price less than the Ebay insanity that he is, but I will be ditching the Silk head first chance I get for something more fitting.

Yeah but the thing with looking at 1 $20 figure vs. a BAF is the monetary aspect. It largely varies from person to person and their interest in the wave. I do think the Hasbro Sassy is superior but not superior enough to spend an extra $60-$100 on (as I only want two figures from the wave.) If it were a carded figure I'd have no hesitation to buy it, same as if i wanted all but one or two figures of the wave.
I kind of hit the same point with the Netflix wave, but as my Toybiz Man-Thing had broke on me, I kind of felt I needed to upgrade. Even if the upgrade was only slight. You can always buy the figs to build Sasquatch & sell off the figs in the wave you don't care for. I did the opposite though, Bought BE & Blade & sold off the Manthing BAF parts as I don't care for the character nor the Netflix versions. |
