AND that doesn't change the fact that I don't want it, but will be stuck with it in order to get whatever piece of Lizard she comes with. What's your point? The fact the some people wanted this version of Jess does not invalidate my not wanting her, just like me and the others who didn't want her doesn't invalidate your wanting of her. For me it's a $20 BAF piece, nothing is going to change that fact

I'm not trying to invalidate that at all. Earlier on, you stated something to the effect of "who even asked for her." Which apparently a few people did, or at least are happy to get her.
If you want to avoid spending $20, I have little interest in building Lizard. Could probably hook you up.

I'll pass along the lizard BAF parts for sure. I love the old version from Toy biz.

I think the Black Panther wave will be a pleasant surprise. They've already announced 3 figures, so we'll have at the very least 3 MCU Marvel Legends. I'm guessing Black Panther, which we've kind of already seen a glimpse of at SDCC, Killmonger in his Vibranium costume, and either Shuri or a member of the Dora Milano (Okoye). I'm wondering what the BAF will be. I'm really hoping for a Man-Ape comic or MCU version.
Also, LOVE that we're getting that Black Panther Shuri and Klaw 2-Pack. I really like the lightning effects for Storm, and the fact that the new Spider-woman has a lot of new tooling on her upper torso, not just paint.

1. Spidey legends vs X-Men legends two completely different and unrelated lines as far as character selection goes, so the unnecessary rehash of Jessica Drew would have zero impact on what X-Men we'd get, but good try
2. I don't even want all of the 90's X-Men. I'm probably the only person that Jim Lee Storm is a hard pass for, but thanks for the assumption 1. You're the one here making the assumptions: Both that nobody has been asking for the new Spider-Woman and now that it's somehow "unnecessary" (how pray tell is an action figure judged to be "necessary"?). And sorry but you are wrong about that. 2. My point about 90's X-Men, by the way, was that while Spider-Woman isn't a character that is parroted about everyday on this board like the various X-People it doesn't mean there aren't any number of fans out there who are asking for a Legends toy of her current look. It had nothing to do with who gets distributed in what wave or whatever rabbit hole you're digging there. Also I guess if you don't like it when other people assume what characters you want in Legends, maybe don't do it yourself about others? Quote:

I think you are probably right, apparently they did say at Hascon that there were multiple movie figures for BP that they couldn't show yet. If they are producing Shuri for the cheaper 6" line then hopefully that indicates they see her as important enough for ML too.

Thanks. They evacuated Friday, I talked to her earlier this evening, so far so good, now it's just waiting for it to do what ever it's gonna do Quote:

Of course not, no one is going to argue with you about that, which is why maybe you should have just said something like that in the first place instead of the baiting "Who asked for Spider-Woman of Burnside" remark that got people on your case over it. So, new reveals aside, did anyonengo to HasCon? How was it? I live a few hours away and was debating going. I didn't, but would it be worth a trip? If it's done again next year, would you recommend going?

And what about that Deadpool exclusive. Any idea when/if it will be available on HTS?

Just caught up with all the reveals at Hascon.
Loving the Deadpool wave, and Sasquatch should open further Alpha Flight reveals, would love Snowbird next, thou I expected to be Guardian TBH. So far I will get all except Deadpool, and maybe Deathlok, thou my old one has very lose joints, thou I loved the sculpt. The Spidey wave is an all in for me. I m not a fan of the Venom lore, but Lasher might be a good introduction. Love the Spider-woman, she will go with my Spidey femme fatales display, whist I keep the classic with the Avengers. Gwenpool, I know nothing about, but it looks like too much fun. Lizard has grown on me. I would prefer a classic one, but I then remember the McFarlane run, and I seem to remember he look more dinosaur then. I'm not massively thrilled with the Black Panther wave so far, I'm more looking forward to the movie figures and BAF which should be 3 more figures. The comic side should have been Shuri (thou she's coming, yaay), Rage (another avenger, thou brief) and Nightshade, thou a wedding Storm done well could have been glorious. Finally the X-men wave, we get the very much expected Wolvie, 80's Storm- which I love, but yeah, a FA would have raised the ante. And Psylocke needed updated to better body and brighter colours, not to mention affordable. My guess for the rest are: Gambit, Nightcrawler, Mystique, and maybe a male New Mutant. But I would not be shocked if we get a classic Colossus, or Emma not to far out in the future. Personally I would rather start getting more Alphans or New Mutants which have been ignored for years. Hoping the NM movie will help with that. With Alpha I'm sure we will see Guardian, Snowbird and the Twins first. Puck will be re-issue at some point (two-pack?) and Marrina and Shaman only if they get a new spotlight in either the comics or TV/movies (basically the twelve of never). Rant over. PS: very best to all of you in Florida, stay safe. |

If anyone in Northern VA is looking for Thor Ragnarok figures, Walmart in Haymarket had everyone but Ares. I thought about getting a 2nd Hela but I thought I would leave it for someone who needs one.

Don't know how I missed it, but I noticed the first page link has pictures of Shuri and Klaw in box now. MY GOD Shuri is perfection. I knew they were coming but I didn't expect her to look this great. Thank you Hasbro. On the downside it's a TRU exclusive so I will almost surely be getting online.
and 3 MCU figures for BP huh. 1. Killmonger in what to me is a very uninspired costume choice (the BP with gold/yellow lining), really would prefer something closer to comics or even what was shown in the trailer. 2. Man Ape BAF. 3. Dora Milaje. Gotta be those three. Unless they''re counting the acutal Black Panther as the third as I could be wrong but we haven't seen him officially revealed, just that we do know he's coming. |

Guys, can we not discuss the Killmonger costime thing? I would have liked to not have been spoiled on his design by the front-page post a couple of days ago, and I'd bet there's people on here who still haven't been. I know it seems like a minor thing, but when I saw what his outfit was, I realized it's probably a big plot point.
So let's not talk about it too specifically, huh?

They could be counting Black Panther in the 3, in which case I think it could be Black Panther, Killmonger and Klaw or one of the Doras.

I realized with All-New, All-Different Iron Man finally getting made, they could probably reuse it down the line for Doctor Doom's Iron Man armor.

I've gotta admit that the Spider-Man wave isn't doing much for me at all. Out of what's been revealed and disregarding rumored figures, the only ones of the actual wave that appeal to me is Mysterio and, of course, the BAF Lizard. Gwenpool and Spidr-Punk I'm mildly interested in just because they seem like fun figures based on the accessories, but I have no attachment to the characters. The Spiderverse stuff is cool for the people that like it, but I feel like it's being milked dry at this point. I would personally prefer more of the Rogues Gallery to be rounded out as opposed to 3-4 different alternate costumes for Spider-Man/Woman per wave, but I understand that the Spider-Man waves obviously have to have a strong presence for Spider-Man himself so I don't even know what Hasbro can realistically do to make these waves more appealing to me while stilling ensuring retailers will stock them. I think it's time for me to sit out on the Spider-Man waves. After I get Lizard and Mysterio of course...lol.
Meanwhile, the X-Men wave is on the opposite end of the spectrum, even after having only seen 4 figures from it. EVERY single figure revealed so far is a MUST have. Tiger Stripe Wolverine is my favorite costume. Psylocke is essential for the 90s X-Men. And Punk Storm may not be my favorite Storm outfit (I'm with everyone else; I would have preferred First Appearance or Jim Lee), but Storm is one of my favorite X-Men, and I'll gladly take ANY figure they make of her, especially since I don't have a single Storm in my collection. And that Apocalypse BAF just hits all of the right spots. I have the old BAF that I got from SDCC last year, but it'll be really nice to have one that isn't so massive. Hasbro has yet to let me down on their character selection for the X-Men waves, so this is most likely an instant pre-order for me. Avengers wave....not much to talk about. Songbird will be a nice addition, and King Cobra will be great for the Serpent Society (I still need to get Eel....he's available for extremely cheap right now and I have no excuse for not getting him other than laziness). The Black Panther wave....I'm pretty mixed on. I actually DID want a classic Namor, ANAD Iron-Man and Black Bolt. I just don't like that Black Panther's wave is so Illuminati-centric, especially since we now know that Klaw and Shuri are gonna be in a TRU-exclusive 2-pack. I did hear something about us getting 3 MCU figures in the wave though (I really hope that the inevitable Killmonger comes with a MBJ head sculpt), so....whatever. I'm down for it. Deadpool is probably my second favorite wave here. We aren't seeing anything new here except for Paladin and Sasquatch. Don't know much about Paladin, but that's another new character for me to look into. Sasquatch is awesome. Don't have the original TB version and I'm loving this beefier version of him. Of course....this means we need an updated Alpha Flight crew. I still don't have Puck either. Overall, the first of HasCon has been pretty exciting. Way better than the reveals from SDCC, personally. |

Updated and expanded Alpha Flight crew. I would take all the core members, but Northstar and Aurora shouldn't even be that difficult to do! Hardly any tooling on them. They are probably the simplest of designs they could possibly do and yet....
