				 | Quote: I felt the same when I was looking at him in the store... like why is only his head yellowish and not his whole body. But then when you start posing him in dynamic poses like flying and stuff the contrast of his head being yellow and his body being a different color starts to look cool... just wish the 4 on his chest was a little bigger.

I'm glad those who want this Vintage wave are getting it. Also glad it's something I have no interest in. The last thing I need is another Captain America, Iron Man, Wolverine, etc figure, unless they are REALLY different.

Yup Edit: that's what everyone else who buys it is likely going to do...I'll actually use that head for MJ since I prefer her sans freckles. FYI The Amazon Defenders pack is also a set of repaints (the only exception being Luke's boots) with Silk's head on Jewel/Jessica Jones/whatever... | Quote: @Dark Yes, I'm referring to the same one you are. Too big? Nah, man...not in my opinion. It may be a little too cut, or vascular. People often make the mistake of thinking being ripped equates to mass. Tyson had 'boulder shoulders' and at least 17-18 inch arms. He was built like a damn fire-hydrant and didn't look smaller despite standing in front of much taller, much larger men...he was very stocky with an unusually broad back. That fig (again IMO) doesn't convey much of that. The face is good... Where are you seeing it? I typed in 1:12, but maybe, because it's new, I'm seeing stock images of the 1:6... EDIT: LOL...just found it on their FB page. Yup, way too big. He looks like a cartoon... Last edited by TheBlueMarvel; 10-01-2017 at 01:25 PM.. |

It probably will. But the costume colors on this new Wolverine are lighter than the old one so the clawless hands and the cowl piece that goes around the neck won't be swappable between the two figures.

So yesterday I finally opened up the Hela I found earlier in September (there's a pic of her holding a hamburger in the "Look What I Just Got" thread) and I'm really impressed. I had no intentions of getting the figure before I found it but when I saw it I couldn't resist picking it up. My only gripe is that her sword was rather warped but that's not a real problem for me. I really love the way the horns came out though on her head and the unmasked head is also nice. Leaving the horned head on also feels like it works well enough then to be a comic figure. Hopefully Hela will follow the recent trend and actually be another good villain in a Marvel movie but even if not this figure is great. Last night then at a local grocery store I was pleasantly surprised to find some Marvel Legends in the clearance section for $9 a figure so I picked up Dazzler. I'd always thought this figure looked pretty good and came out well but didn't feel like it was something I wanted to drop $20 on so at about half off I was happy with it. I like the inclusion of the microphone and the unique energy effect piece coloring but the roller-skates make more dynamic poses trickier. Yeah some people would've preferred one of her less campy outfits but this is the look that I always think of when somebody says "Dazzler" so I like it.

I might pick up the Iron Man if I find it singly. I cannot justify in my head to support the blatant cash grab and buy the wave of re-issues, repaints and kit bashes just for the sake of it. Less accessories, at least one that should have been included with the prior release of the figure and no BAF for full price just seems ludicrous to me. Of course I am sure that, like always, I will end up buying it in the end anyway because I'm a sucker.

Despite being a solid figure, I really wanted to like the Netflix Elektra a lot more than I did once I got her in hand. Yet there were some little things that really killed the figure for me, namely the "Popeye" arms, and the fact that both heads sat a little high on the neck. So I finally got around to fixing it. The arms from Polaris were a perfect skin tone, and after a little bit of hot water and some surgery (and dremeling) to remove the cuffs from the Elektra arms, she now looks the way I think Hasbro originally intended. In addition to the improved proportions, the Polaris arms have a bit more bend at the elbow than the Popeye arms, improving the articulation a bit (for even better articulation, you can also use the arms from a Black Series EPIV Luke Skywalker, as they are a perfect fit and feature double jointed elbows, I just didn't want to sacrifice my Luke...) I also burrowed both heads just a little bit deeper so they sit lower on the neck, giving her a much more natural appearance. Was really relieved that Hasbro incorporates pegs for the arms of their female figures. Made this project MUCH easier since there was no need to dremel and crack the torso of the figure open. Just boil and pop. I'm much happier with her now... Last edited by Trivial Psychic; 10-01-2017 at 09:05 PM.. |

100% improvement on her. I don't collect MCU figs, but that don't mean I don't appreciate a good customizing job on them. I'm hoping Hasbro is gonna give us 616 fans a classic comic version of Elektra somewhere down the line.

Bob Layton penciled the entire classic " Armor wars" arc & he drew the original version of the armor that replaced the SC armor with the slim downed gloved/boots. It was John Romita Jr who started drawing that armor with the silly space gloves & clown boots.

				 | Quote: hopefully that'll be fixed for the final product. Quote: HA...USUALLY...that's me also...but I really think I'll be okay passing on most of this wave. This is making me understand how many extra figures I have JUST because there was a BAF part i could use and didn't feel like hunting down/piecing together. |
