Agreed! I actually dug a lot of the Amalgam designs. I would like a Speed Demon also.

Is it other priorities keeping you from it? A desire to wait until you have a pile to open? I just know that, when we get a bunch of new figures, my wife and I decide who gets to open what, and sit down and open them all together right then.
For me it's mostly sheer laziness. That or sometimes I wait a few days to do one big haul picture as in the case with some from August. Some of my stuff (mostly my Figuarts) gets opened but then goes back in the box to protect it if the figure is not being posed somewhere in my very limited space.

When I get figures, I normally know which ones I'm getting and where in my house is going to go, so I open as soon as I get home. Now, it might take me longer to fit them in their places, as that is never an easy task.
I only keep boxes of larger figures or smaller breakable ones, which I keep in crates in the cellar. I have a bit of OCD so everything must have a place assigned first or I won't get it.

Thanks! Yeah, it's just some generic, plastic sphere. Not sure where it came from, exactly. Just thought it looked cool and it fit exactly in the palm of her hand.

Did some Halloween photos earlier today, but I'm currently on mobile, so sharing the pics is a pain. So here they are on my tumblr. Enjoy!

Those are pretty awesome. I wish I had an area outdoors like that I could use for photos.

Really fortunate to work on a rural piece of property where there's remains of buildings from tenants long past

And having the freedom to use said property for backdrops whenever I want, weather permitting.

A bit late to the party but I normally open my stuff ASAP too. Except that one time I was in the hospital for a week and a bunch of packages arrived.
Otherwise, I'm fast!

It took me this long to realize that the Vintage Card Black widow has the same head as Mary Jane. Just without the Freckles. Hasbro is one cheap as hell company. That and the shit Hydra two pack are pissers cuz I actually at one time we're looking forward to them.

You can look at it 2 ways. Your view, or just be happy they can recycle some of the parts and provide more figures. We have on occasion talked about the budget and the formula Hasbro has for releasing new figures. They can only put so much money into retooling. ML is just one toy line in many(thousands??) Of things Hasbro does. They do as much as they can with what they have. Think about it from the business side. I'm amazed at the amount of new stuff we get each year, new or recycled.

What's wrong with the Hydra pack?

And if you think they are cheap, you should see Mattel.

Just finished customizing the old TB ML Dracula fig I got at a comic con this past Sunday for $15. Simple custom job. I just drilled the Drac head to fit on the Chameleon buck, drilled slightly bigger holes in the wrists to accomodate the bigger Drac hands, gave the suit a Black paint job except for a V-shaped neck portion I painted white, slapped on a craft store emerald looking doohickey in place of a tie, gave Drac's flesh a paint job & done. Wanted to post these pics on Halloween, but work got in the way.

For me, it's a matter of wanting to wait until I have everything I want for my ideal display. That may mean waiting until I have other figures, accessories etc.

I don't like the Hydra Two pack mainly for the Big guy he's just Captain Britain repaint and none of the guns are detailed the look like Dollar tree guns. And All of the accessories are just repacks. Yeah don't get me wrong Mattel's Articulation is crap poor but at least they have different sculpts and Paint detail (Mainly just the BAFs) but I love Marvel legends but these latest offerings have feel flat to me personally they're all repaints or repacks. Except The TV or Movie characters who I mostly only Collect from Hasbro. Love the MCU figures they're putting out so really I have no idea why I a bitching haha. Mainly just because I am bored I guess

The Hydra Brute is actually a repaint of Nuke, but you are not wrong about the Captain Britain head.

If you hate the Legends kitbashes...you should be glad you don't collect G.I.Joe. Hasbro's tendency to go cheap these past few years caused me to finally drop the line altogether, and I was all things Joe for years...

You might not like the Hydra pack, but I found tremendous value in them. I was able to use the extra heads for other figures (tweaked the scarred flattop for Eddie Brock/Venom, and the bald one also makes a good one Brock/Anti-Venom, since he was growing his hair back after Mr. Negative cured his cancer.) The extra weapons are also great for customizing and if army building just isn't your thing, the Hydra Soldier works great for giving Red Skull a different look in a pinch.
