It's his most recent comic costume, supposedly the vibranium suit can absorb energy and send it back. Looking forward to this! I can't get into collecting MCU figures, so this will work perfectly for me as a modern BP

Hey, this is the last of those "sketchy" image reveals from the summer convention circuit, isn't it? Like the Shuri/Klaw set and the Walmart-exclusive Thanos?
It's ridiculous and I love it.

I did also see a few of the Walmart exclusive Black Panther, which I have never seen in stores. Wishing I hadn’t overpaid on eBay now lol. |

did some holiday shopping this morning at my walmart i usually frequent. saw there was about 4 or so the the walmart exclusive Black panther figures. i was tempted to get him, but i honestly prefer the civil war version i already have. not to mention the one that was posted above earlier will be a definite purchase. it's i assume supposed to show the vibranium in his suit. reminds me of a variant that was made a year or two back

![]() Missing Psylocke’s sword, and Wolverine’s claws, but I got a pretty solid deal on it considering I only wanted Psylocke and Archangel. |

I'm going to do my yearly top ten a little bit differently; by doing a comic based figure top ten, followed by a MCU based top 5 (since we received so many MCU figures this year,) as well as a worst list...which contains both MCU and comic based characters. They are in no particular order of course.
I am not including the BP wave on any list, since this wave is not widely distributed at the moment. 1. Ultimate Vulture: Although this figure was not a popular version of this character due to the costume choice, I found it to be one of the most fun. Both heads were really great and the wings were impressive, not to mention I loved the metallic green plastic that was used. 2. Dark Phoenix: Not only did this figure hit it out of the park, but there was so much value in it with the additional heads that could be used for the original Phoenix figure, as well as the fire effect. This is the essential version of Jean Grey as well as a must own. 3. Cyclops (80s): This figure hit a sweet spot with me as it was perfectly done and everything that I wanted in a Cyclops figure. Great shading and paints, awesome costume and sculpted boots, this one succeeded where the heavily hyped Jim Lee version failed, and is my fave version of Cyke to plastic yet. 4. Mary Jane Watson: After 20+ years of waiting, we finally got her and she did not disappoint in my eyes. Not only was the face sculpt very pretty (so much so it was used twice on another figure...) but the figure also had some newly sculpted parts that were the base of two other characters in civilian gear (Netflix Elektra & JJ.) Hopefully MJ will pave the way for more non superhero based Marvel Legends figures in the future, such as Aunt May... 5. Bullseye: This was initially a version of the character that I thought we did not need since the Toy Biz version was a timeless classic that holds up. What Hasbro did was create a worthy update to that classic with some awesome accessories. The swap head captures the maniacal personality of the character and really stood out, which is great considering how often Hasbro has been criticized for making stale, static expressions. 6. Sunfire: One of my favorite X-Men characters who was long overdue for the Legends treatment. A great costume choice, awesome paint job and an excellent head sculpt...as well as good use of one of the new male bodies that debuted this year made this figure a sleeper. Speaking of which... 7. Spider-Man 2099: A figure that totally caught me off guard, as I have no emotional attachment to the character. I dig the costume on this one, as the colors and sculpt really pop, and the new body that debuted for this figure is terrific, allowing it to strike some really cool poses. The fun factor for me with this one was way up, and was only hurt by it's lack of accessories. 8. Black Panther (Walmart Exclusive): I am not sure why this figure was harder to find than it should have been, or what the deal was, but it was worth the trouble to get. A re-release on the cheap it was, but the plentiful accessories (including a "roll of the dice" jointed hand) and some better design choices (by not attempting the blue shading that IMO ruined the first release) made this a must purchase. 9. Blade: Due to the many issues that this figure had when I initially picked it up, it almost made a different list. Most of them however were correctable with a little bit of work with an exacto blade (pardon the pun,) and once done, oh man...was the long wait for Blade worth it. Some newly sculpted parts, two excellent head sculpts, and a nice reuse of the DP katanas (as well as a new bandoleir sheath for storage) sweetened the deal. You can make your day walker even sweeter by picking up one of the original head casts for the cancelled figure, and if you add a firearm of choice, you will find there are worse things out tonight than vampires... 10. Dazzler: While the costume choice shocked me at first, this was the Dazzler figure that I wanted without ever knowing it. With a newly sculpted body was excellent, the accessories perfect, and a beautiful face sculpt that reminds me somewhat of Taylor Swift, Dazzler was truly outrageous. And let's not forget those roller skates, which are not only awesome, but can easily swapped out with Black Cat's high heels (if you happen to have an extra for fodder) to create a different look appropriate for the dance floor. I know that this was not everyone's first costume choice, but to me, it was the right one. BAF Sandman: This one was really well done, and came close to replacing my Classics Sandman. The only gripe that I had with it was it didn't have the grainy texture of the Classics figure, but the interchangeable hands and parts were all excellent, making Sandman one of the better BAFs to come along in a while. Titus and Man-Thing were close though, but the fun factor of Sandman won out for me at the end of the day. Some other 2017 lists...I'll keep it short for post length's sake... Top 5 MCU figures: 1.* Star-Lord* (short jacket) 2.* Hela 3.* Spider-Man* (Web-Wings) 4.* Iron Man MK.47 ("Ultimates" IM) 5.* Gamora BAF:* Mantis Worst Marvel Legends of 2017 1.* Star Lord (Long coat/Mantis wave) 2.* Loki (Gladiator Hulk wave) 3.* Unworthy Thor (Gladiator Hulk wave) 4.* Daredevil (Defenders box set) 5.* Ex Nihilo (Mantis Wave) 6.* Spider-UK (Sandman wave) 7.* Major Victory (Titus wave) 8.* Madusa (Walgreens exclusive) 9.* Black Widow (Vintage wave) 10.* She Hulk (A-Force box set) |

I dig that Black Panther. I still would have preferred the Ultimates suit with the cat like mask but this one is still very slick.

I find that Black Panther with the lines looks bad. No desire for it. At least they gave some effects, but peg warming it will do.

Finally found the vintage Wolverine at Toys R Us (thankfully my TRU will not be among the closing) and I was pretty disappointed. This was never a figure I was hunting since I got the Juggernaut wave Wolverine and not enough new was done here to be enticing but the one I found was just poorly done. Paint on the vintage wave in general has been below par on average compared to the standard Legends but this Wolverine just looked rushed. Honestly glad I found it and passed so I can save the space and money for the tiger striped Wolverine coming down the line.

My GOOD GOD I spent a LOT of money this year top 10:
10. Major Victory: I am a sucker for the Guardians figures anyway but for such a simplistic figure, it was done well 9. Cosmic Spider-Man: The paint apps on mine are spot on and I really liked the inclusion of 3 heads 8: Singularity: Despite the missed smile...ok seriously Hasbro, how do you NOT have Singularity with a smile?...I was super glad they included her in the A-Force set. Singularity is such a fun and sweet character 7. Mary-Jane: The head sculpt is fantastic 6. Sandman: Stellar BAF! 5. Colossus: I did not expect an X character in my top 5 but I really like the Colossus figure (Madrox will make it for 2018 I am sure) 4. Green Goblin: OK I technically got this at the end of 2016 but whatever. Just an all around awesome figure 3. Deadpool Back in Black: I just really like the look of this figure in general 2. Adam Warlock: Yeah, totally agree with Spyne on this one! My DnA Guardians roster grows ever closer to completion! 1. Darkhawk: They did an absolutely bad ass job with this figure and it is definitely my favorite Legend to put on a flight stand Honorable Mentions: Daredevil (Netflix): I am definitely more of a comic figure collector (despite the fact I buy most of the MCU figures) but this Daredevil was particularly cool Hela: I liked what they did with the helm but not enough to put it in my top 10 Daredevil (12"): Ok yeah it is not a 6" Legend but that figure was totally worth the money and if it was a 6" with everything it had it would have easily grabbed my #1 spot! |

A bit late to the party on this one but that new Black Panther exclusive looks like a pass to me. Just not digging it.
