If you have sonething to rest your wrists on it helps immensely. Thats what i have to do when i do eyes and small details along. I also use a wristbrace to help steady my hand.

I found the Black Panther wave in stores! A guy at Toys R Us had told me last week that they were being released today. I went to the store for opening and was told that they are not being released until tomorrow (wtf) and they wouldn’t check the back for me. I called another Toys R Us and they told me that they did have them, but they would not be able to save any for me because too many people were looking for them. I went right over and they had one case on the shelves, so I was able to pick up a Namor, a Black Bolt, and an Iron Man, which were the only ones I wanted from this wave. Always fun to be able to find them in stores!

Another tip I picked up for this is to use your pinky finger as a sort of stabilizer/pivot point. It is not the most comfortable technique but you would be surprised just how much it stabilizes the rest of your hand.

If you don't want to run around for the Panther Legends the TRU website has them all right now. I just ordered Iron Man, Namor, and Nakia.

https://www.toysrus.com/search?q=panther%20legends

No 2 pack listed yet.

I gotta say, I didn’t want this Iron Man at all when the first pictures came out. Now that I have one in hand, I actually really like it a lot.

That’s definitely nice, I can see these being a pain to find in stores at first.

Managed to find the entire wave of Black Panther figures at a Toys R Us store in Jersey Gardens (I'm in New Jersey for New Year's).

Ended up picking up Black Bolt and Namor since I imagine they'll be the more difficult ones to find. I also got Killmonger and Iron-Man off Amazon so all I'll have left is Black Panther and Nakia (which I haven't picked up yet since I imagine they'll be easy to find). By far my easiest experience finding a wave at retail.

I am not sure if I will get anything from the Panther wave. I may get Namor and Iron Man at some point but, I am looking at the preorders and I think these figures will peg warm. I think eventually it will go on deep discount.

I am debating about Killmonger but his costume looks so similar to the BP, but the gold patterns do look nice when I saw it up close. In the end I may get half the wave at discount at some point. I saw it at a TRU and just passed it by.

For the first time 2017, I didn't buy all the figures to complete my BAFs. I am wondering why that was looking back, I am thinking the BAFs were rather disappointing and the repaints were not worth it.

I have almost every BAF ever made.....outside Puck. Maybe I am tired of the tiny BAFs also. A BAF should be a spectacular looking, big figure that makes non collectors do a double take....

Hoping the new year, brings some better BAFs, so I can return to my wild free spending ways, towards the Marvel Legends, but it does not look too good for the BP wave.

This is the reason I haven't pulled the trigger, as well. Though the need for Nakia and the new Iron Man is getting really strong, and I feel like I may cave.

So Hasbro has pretty much knocked out most of my requested figures so now I've gotta revisit my wishlist:

90s Storm (I'm gonna welcome Punk Storm with open arms, but I still need my Jim Lee Storm)
Classic Colossus
Really.....any Classic/90s X-Men we don't already have figures of. We really need a new Banshee and Emma Frost in particular.
Kingpin (Netflix or Comic Book, doesn't really matter. Preferably both.)
Classic Elektra (This is almost a shoe-in for the next Marvel Knights wave)
Classic Iron-Man (Having it on the Bucky Cap mold would be preferable)
Finish off the Inhumans Royal Family, because now I have two figures of a whole team.
Dr. Doom. Long overdue, IMO.
Of course, more Spider-Man villains. I don't care how obscure they are.

Probably a couple that will come to me later on, but these are the must-haves.

For me, Doc Ock, Spot, the Lizard Wave, Kingpin, MCU Vision, Ghost Rider Bike, Black Widow Bike, and Thanos and his Black Order will about do it for me. Then I'll be done. After that it'll be updating the figures as they come and selling off old ones.

I got a notification from Amazon today. Apparently the figures I ordered from the Black Panther wave will arrive today. I'll post pics if they do. I only ordered Namor and Iron Man, and I am hearing fantastic things about Iron Man so I am very excited for him!

I just want there to be less of a focus on MCU figures in the coming year. Most of the waves this year were somewhat top heavy with MCU offerings, and towards the end of the year, my fatigue with the MCU caused me to scale back my purchases somewhat (a good or bad thing depending how you look at.)

I'd like to see some new comic offerings this year, including...

Cloak
Dagger
Scream (as well as the rest of the Life Foundation Symbiotes.)
Black Cat (current costume)
Menace (Lily Hollister)
Armor (I think she would make a good BAF)
Typhoid Mary
Bushwhacker
Aunt May
Gwen Stacy
Outback/Savage Land Rogue
Mandarin
Red Goblin
Toxin (classic/Patrick Mulligan)
Hand Ninjas redo...(something to compete against the articulated icons...)

And since the Ultimate universe is returning in some capacity, I'd really like to see an Ultimates Hulk, an Ultimates Iron Man redo, and an Ultimate Scorpion. I always dug that look, and they could probably add different hands, head and tails as a BAF to convert it into a 616 version.

ooooh wishlists! Yeah time to update I guess, with several sections.

Never done before in any format figures (very abbreviated version, I have a "short" list of 40 I really want and another longer list of close to 100 but this is the most important:

1. Selene (which frankly I don't ever see happening except in a Hellfire Club SDCC set or something like that but whatever, she's still #1.)
2-3. Justice/Firestar - tied for these two spots, I honestly cannot pick which one I want more. They just both need to get done.
4. Moonstar.
5. Count Nefaria
6. Graviton (c'mon hasbro, these two are very similar in design, just knock them both out.)
7. Northstar
8. Aurora
9. Snowbird
10. Shaman. (there's a trend here hasbro. Alpha Flight Set plz.)
(FWIW Classic Thunderbolts rank right below this.. after that just a bunch of villains and Sersi).

Most wanted BAF (or what I figure would likely be BAF)

1. Sauron
2. SHadow King
3. Attuma
4. Nimrod
5. Atlas

Also Kingpin is my only wanted figure to be a BAF that already has a (non BAF) figure. If they're going to do it, do it right and give us a BAF.

REdos:

Any X-Men related figures not done yet. Pure and simple, that's it. I'm satisfied with most of the other offerings for the most part.

New outfits/looks for characters already done:

Honestly? It's X-men all over again.

1. Jim Lee White Outfit Storm.
2. First Appearance Storm (I still can't believe NEITHER of these are the Storm we're getting next year....)
3. X-23verine (I count this as a new outfit since we are getting Laura in X-23 garb.
4. Modern Rogue
5. Classic (smoother look) Iceman
6. Shadowcat (blue outfit)
7. Classic Colossus.

I'm pleasantly happy with existing looks otherwise, provided we get classic or Jim Lee looks on most of the X-Men.
