It's impossible to stop someone having an opinion, the idea it is somehow not allowed is absurd. But if you can't back it with argument and facts its worthless. If you (royal you, not you personally) are going to gleefully admit you stopped reading Marvel comics a decade ago, or have never read a specific comic you are complaining about, I'm not going to take your opinions on modern Marvel comics or that specific comic seriously because you've already admitted ignorance of the subject matter.
I'm not trying to call you out or anything Tim, you're certainly right that it shouldn't be this confrontational. Boy Blunder wrote an excellent, articulate defense of Gwenpool and so far the reaction to it from certain people has been pointlessly aggressive. To put it politely. I dont actively read comics due to insane prices per book, no real self contained stories and every other year theres some kinda nverse panning retconning crossover but i do try to keep up with characters i enjoy ( ala deadpool ) or wait for collected editions or omnibus's ( omnibi? ). And you should also take into account not every one has an eidetic memory and cant remember everyplace they read something ( i suffer from minor short term memory loss...no its not alzhiemers ![]() Alot of what i see causing issue is someone comes off a certain way and another gets upset By it and ww3 starts or someone says they dont like something and someone else feels they need to know why. Truth is they dont. Sometimes its hard to let things go cause of this or that... Folk might feel they need to change someones mind and someone else may feel entitled to spout off etc etc..... Its just about toys for me. Any more its just...do i like the look of the toy...not oh this is supoosed to be a form of empoerment or protest etcetc. Or do I need it to make a custom or i liked the look of the character as a kid or something ( like the juggy wave wolvy for me is my defining wolverine and the vintage wave punishe is my near perfect punisher ). *Disclaimer* This is all just mostly my personal opinion and should not be taken as cannon gospel or pure fact...other than there are other resources for learning about characters bit. ![]()

True, but there is a world of difference between, for example, reading up on a character in a wiki or watching a youtube history and reading the characters comic appearances. You don't get the same sense of character you would reading a recap as you do reading the dialogue and seeing the art yourself.
All I'm saying in short is that you can't judge a comic book or a characters quality until you've read it. If you don't want to read it, fair enough, but you can't expect anyone to pay any attention or give any respect to your opinion if you insist on inflicting it on polite society.

#1. So i was looking at my BP figures again last night.
The head sculpts on the Nakia and Okoye are just AMAZING!!! This wave is effin' SICK. My least favorite figure (and i said i love them all) is Namor mostly because he's just a partially naked dude in speedos..but he's still great. Killmonger is definitely nicer (IMO) than the BP figure, but I'm just glad they didn't make them with one just being a repaint of the other. So kudos to Hasbro for that. ..and while i like the NEW Black Panther figure, I just pulled out the Civil War wave one and looked at them side by side and to me that original one is better than the new one. #2. Before I start to army build troops. Can anyone explain the hierarchy there for the Dorma Milage. i JUST saw that they are mostly bald, like Okoye, but where does nakia fit in? ..and why is Okoye's clothing more orange and Nakia's slightly more towards red?? Is one a leader? which color is for the "standard soldier" ?? #3. This Black Panther movie is just.....holy shit...it feels like it's going to be epic. I'm SO excited for this movie for SO MANY different reasons. As an action movie it's looking great. As the next chapter in a comic movie it looks great!!.. and as a person of color I'm always glad to see endeavors for us, by us, or including us. This seem like it's going to be huge Black film, without it actually being a "traditional black film". Like, all people will enjoy this film and not be concerned with what color the cast it, just that it's a good flick that they wanted to see. Quote:

This is probably why some people think your an asshole. It's all in the presentation my man..and yours usually sucks. Walgreens is funny. The one next to my house has a fresh shipment of the Black Panther and Ragnarok waves, while the one I stopped at on my way to work still has Eric O’Grady and some of the Absorbing Man wave. Weird.
@Tim: From what I can gather Nakia is supposed to be a spy who goes on overseas missions, so she may grow her hair longer to blend in while in the West. Agreed in the sculpts. It makes me kind of bummed we didn’t get an unmasked Killmonger. |

Also, I don't see the issue. I wasn't attacking anyone at all when I stated why I hate Gwenpool and find her to be a wasted slot. Quote:

Also, I don't see the issue. I wasn't attacking anyone at all when I stated why I hate Gwenpool and find her to be a wasted slot. This is a message board where everything is in text. You're going to read the text however you want based on past accounts. I could type the nicest message possible, and you would still read it as being insulting. But that's cool, as I said, I'm here to talk toys. I personally don't see anything wrong with your posts. Your comments are not sugar coated and your direct. Everyone is entitled to like and dislike whatever character and so fourth. That's why we are all on a forum. To share these ideas and what not. |

It's cool.
Anyway, I was just watching Jay C's news video and he mentioned rumors of Prof X with hover chair being in the vehicle series. If true, that is pretty awesome, but I hope he comes with are regular wheel chair too so I can display him either way. Hell, maybe even buy two. I still don't remember SP//dr though. I've gone through my Spider-Verse book three times and I can't find a single picture of him at all. Does anyone else that has the oversized hardcover know what page he appears on?

@DTL lmao true. That’s why if I have a problem with a character or Figure I try to keep it to my self. I definitely don’t want to Throw it into someone face by constantly being a annoying dude or Being a asshole about someone’s favorite character. So that’s why I try to keep shut lol
And @LordBeast all good man. I understand that you want to definitely defend a character you like personally I’ve never read a single Comic of Gwenpool that’s why I didn’t say anything about her. She looks cool so I’d most likely pick her up. I am somewhat aware of her character thanks to websites like Wiki and such. . Honestly I wasn’t taking a shot at you or anyone specifically by saying “why is everything so conversational” |

I'm assuming you mean an MCU 2 pack? We do have the comic Klaw/Shuri which looks fantastic...but yeah it would be nice to get a non-golden Jaguar or whatever code name he's going to use Killmonger, and an MCU Shuri.

@DarkToyLord
That Killmonger figure is a fantastic piece. He’s tied with Okoye as my favorite figure of the year, thus far. I too thought of building my Dora Milaje, however, the face on Okoye is very specific and I’m not too big on customizing. I decided to buy an extra Okoye from Dorkside, and save her for my Infinity War displays. After Toy Fair I will decide what other duplicates I will be buying, because I don’t expect them to release every character. Some will need duplicates(Mantis, Gamora, Drax, possibly Doctor Strange, and others), but I don’t care. My Infinity War Displays will be epic. |

I'm actually hoping that this rumor pans out, because the SP//dr story was probably my favorite from the Edge of Spider-Verse series, and made more of an impression on me than the much-hyped Spider-Gwen debut (which wasn't bad, but it just felt... lackluster when compared to the build-up). Having a figure of the SP//dr suit would be amazing, especially if one of the standard figures turns out to be Peni Parker, either in her civilian clothes or her pilot suit (not holding my breath, but a guy can dream). The Spider-Variants thing is such a hard concept to reconcile, because while I love alternate universe stories, at the same time I don't think the shelves need so many Spiders. And yet, even though there's ones I don't care for (Spider-UK), there's also ones that are either really cool ideas (SP//dr, Spider-Man Noir, Spider-Man India) or just goofy enough to be appealing (Spider-Punk, who is probably actually gonna end up in our collection because my wife loves his ridiculous aesthetic). But at the end of it all, I know every figure/character has a fan, and as long as the product is good, I'm for it.

Hasbro execs must love it. They can pump out endless Spidey variants without having to make up silly shit like those old bath figure and stuff.

Some new in hand photos of the Lizard wave are up on Marvelous News, and while they are a little grainy...I'm actually looking forward to this one, as every figure (including the much maligned Gwenpool) looks pretty solid.
Prowler looks great (although I'm worried about the size of the collar on the cape,) Lasher does as well. Spider Woman and Noir have GREAT custom potential...(SW has a great headsculpt, and the torso might do well for civillian figures, and Noir can make for a very easy Blade custom thanks to the body being an improved version of the original cancelled figure.) Gwen looks crisp and comes with some good accessories and we all know about Mysterio already (I'm surprised that Hasbro actually cut the grooves into the body. This figure is dying for a paint wash.) I have nothing nice to say about Spider-Punk other than I like the new sneaker feet, but still, it's a solid figure. Lizard looks beastly, and while it's a bit Jurrasic Park-ish, I'm digging that articulation. Can't wait to see what he can do... |

I am torn on the Mysterio Head. I can’t tell if I like it or not it’s definitely detailed and Cool but I think I would have preferred just a normal human head. Which is a easy fix. He’s definitely a instant buy no matter what But hell yeah Liazard looks Incredible can’t wait for that guy this is Just my opinion please don’t take this as Fact lol.

Only skipping out on Noir, Lizard, and probably Lasher, depending on how he looks in-hand. Prowler is in the iffy category, but still likely, as is Spider-Punk. Gwen, Jess, and Mysterio are locks, though.

From what I've gathered Okoye is the leader of the Dora Miljae so perhaps that explains her gold version of the outfit while Nakia's is the standard red. Plus if MCU follows the comics Nakia turns on BP at some point becoming a villain named Malice aligned with Killmonger.
