The BP wave is so good I'm gonna buy it again to have doubles of Nakia and Okoye, when they arrived to my LCS ( I already have a set minus Bolt and Iron Man).
Here in the UK we're very excited bout the movie (specially in boring Feb). In my household every Marvel movie is an event, all my co-workers are looking forward to it, even the couple of mothers (as they've seen Guardians and Thor with their kids nd love love them).
And all my nephews in Spain (from kids to young adults) wanted BP tees and figures, to which I obliged.
I adore the cast. Is star after rising star. Basset and Whitakker, Boseman and Jordan, Lupita and Danai...and then I just find out Daniel Kaluuya (from Get Out) and Letitia Wright from Black Mirror are in it too. Is going to be a-mazing.

Euro Disney IM is the best comic based IM made yet Imo. Perfect hgt & perfect comic Stark head sculpt. Really hoping Hasbro is making a comic based classic bronze age yellow /Red IM this yr as the awesome Mezco IM is just too rich for my blood.

Excellent post! Lot’s of fantastic talent in this film ready to take things to new heights.

I’m with you on the duplicates. When it’s all said and done, I’ll have 3 Panthers, 3 Okoye’s, 2 Killmongers, and 2 Nakia’s. Heck, I might even buy a second 12 inch Panther.

I'm extremely excited for Black Panther, and given the ticket pre-sales being reported there is no reason to think at this point it is going to be anything other than a huge success.

Marvel have also begun early production on a Black Widow solo film, according to Variety.

Way back during the early days of the line under Hasbro. I wanna say 2009? That Hulk was actually a retool and repaint of the earlier Red Hulk Build-a-Figure.

Really not sure why that 5 pack never got released in the stated, that Hulk is one of the better Comic Hulks out there as well.

What!?! That's great news! She's one of my favorite characters in the MCU and my wife will be happy to hear this too. It's about time. I've always thought they should do this, even before Wonder Woman's success last summer and now after WW made so much money they'd be crazy not to give Scarjo her own Black Widow solo movie. I hope this really happens.

Just to chime in on this one. The Red Hulk was the BAF of a Target Exclusive wave that had Spiral, 2 different versions of Wolverine, Union Jack and some other characters in it. I don't remember the full line up now, it's been some time. But the wave came out right around the time that Hasbro stopped producing 6" legend figures (until the reboot a few years back). The green Hulk was then released in a Toys R Us 2 pack with Valkyrie. Hasbro did a few 2 packs at the time and they were kind of hard to come by. It was released along side that Deadpool and Warpath two pack (and the different color variations).

I'm so freaking ready for that BP two pack to be shippable on TRU's website or show up on Amazon (through any sellers at any price.) Both figures are things of beauty and I am 100% down for getting this. Knowing my TRU it will be another six months before they get it in, if ever. If they're not shut down......

You gotta admit though, the part where Snoop eats the mushrooms...that was comedic gold.

Just throwing this out since people were looking for Dora ideas for army building...if you were brave enough to repaint the newest MCU Gamora head...I think it too might make a good looking Dora soldier. The figure has some grooves on the face where the tattoos are, which might show up under the paint if you thin it out enough. Not the easiest thing to customize, but if you don't mind losing some of the face printing, I think it would look good.

Waits for the eventual pic from Raf showing him with 6 of each of these...lol

Cheers. I prefer to be positive about stuff I love.
And I am pretending that those 12" figures don't exist. I have no room! My extra BP and Killmonger will go to a very nice 9 year old. I need a second Nakia as my one has a small chip on the hair that bothers me. And as for Okoye, that figure rocks. I need one to play with. I also have two Mantis. One of them has become Sam Slade's girlfriend.

I want to stay on topic because I know mods will come through and make things “disappear”, so I will say that for me the Black Panther wave was strong. Eric Killmonger is my favorite figure, Okoye is right there with him. I bought the 12 in Black Panther figure, and I own two of the 6 inch Black Panthers...soon to be 3 for my Infinity War display. Black Panther is my favorite superhero and I cannot wait to see this film. Members of my family (part of the general public) have their tickets and that makes me even more excited. I love seeing people excited about something I’ve been waiting for my entire life.

To quote Bart Scott, “can’t wait!”
Toyark deletes?

Make sense as sometimes I post and check 2 days later and I barely remember what I wrote so I need a reference. And cannot find it. I hate all forms of censorship as it leads to manipulating outcomes.

TLJ has a very bad response from the MSM. They seem to all demonize people who hate it by claiming "we need to watch it again," or "you need to view it from a different perspective. " i heard no such cries from the msm over BatvsSuper or Justice League.

I keep seeing the BP wave in stores, but the movie figures are still lingering, but the comic ones are gone.

I assume once the movie hits, the opposite sill be observed. Killmonger looks nice but wish they included the actors head.

I am hoping to see the Winter Soldier used better as he's my favorite MCU hero and villain.

thnx...i want one of those hulkies...it does have a cool comic look.

(technically it was first day sales)

i don't think this movie is going to do well....
i can tell because 2 of the MCU action figures from the wave at my local store were on the floor, and one was in a shopping cart behind customer service and one was getting returned. I saw a kid at the same store tell his mom he loved iron man and we all know iron man isn't in this movie.
In addition, dunkin donuts doesn't sell as many chocolate covered donuts as all of the other kinds combined.

Toys have nothing to do with it, there are THOUSANDS of people who are gonna buy tickets and most likely enjoy the movie, but they probably won't buy any toys They've already presold a buttload of tickets, which hypes people up even more for the movie, and everything I've heard so far has been nothing but good!

Came across the new two pack for BP at TRU, and thought, why not...and picked it up.

Some thoughts:

Klaw: Holy crap, is this ever an improved update of the original figure, which was atrocious. Klaw is on the newer Spider-Man 2099 body, and has a great range of motion. In addition, his weapon arm is well sculpted, and the spiral bubble effects that we have seen reused time and time again looks great when paired with it. The head sculpt though is the best part, with a snarling, menacing look that's way better than the blow up doll or whatever it was we got on that last figure.

Shuri: Well...not sure what to say about her other than she's an upscaled (she is not on a smaller body like I thought she would be) White Tiger figure in all black with some nicely painted on boot wraps and gauntlets. The eyes though could be painted better and this was common on all of the two packs I saw today. She has all the same articulation as the standard female figure with no improvements to the body. She looks like she is wearing Rogue's belt due to the telltale X logo on the front, but I haven't grabbed my Rogue out of her bin to check. The cape and necklace are new however and we get another Kraven spear packed in as an accessory. I would have rather seen a new, unmasked head sculpt for Shuri over the spear, but other than that...that's really all there is to her. Cool if you're a fan of the character I guess, but I'm not sure if I'll be keeping her in the long run.

LOL!!! I still can’t believe they made that film. I’ve tried watching it again. I think to myself I’m a little too hard on it, but nope.

Now that’s what I’m talking about. Have you checked out the basic figures? I bought the standard Black Panther for my son, and besides the articulation being basic it’s a really cool figure.

Toys have everything to do with it because people buy toys that people like and people like movies too with people in them also, as well.
Once i saw this movie that people thought was gonna do well, and it had effects in it and stuff, and it was a complete bust.
That's also why the movie won't do well.
In addition, you stated it presold a buttload, that's not even half of what an assload is, so this film is doomed.

Anyone who has gotten the Klaw/Shuri 2 pack, is the Klaw a new figure or a repaint of the old Klaw from ROML?

New figure. New head sculpt. Newer Spider-Man 2099 body. HUGE improvement over the ROML version. I posted about it a little further up.
