I wasn't a fan of the movie style Mantis so I made this. It's more comic inspired than comic accurate. A few touch ups and I'll be done.

I seriously need to upload these pics better.

So finally I own the first Walmart exclusive Black Panther. Funny story, a friend of mine picked one up for me a couple of weeks ago, and I finally got a chance to see him and get the figure last night. We went to a Walmart on my regular route I just haven't been able to get to for a couple of months later on, and there were literally 10 of them sitting there. all that time, if I'd just gone there once!!

I finally had the Thor/Valkyrie 2pack in hand at Target and put it back. They should have went with the white suit for Valkyrie. That MCU Thor also looked cheaply thrown together. This was one of the first times I easily passed on a set of Legends. I wouldn’t mind having that sword though.

Wait it out - these will show up at Ross/TJ/Marshalls before you know it.

This set is selling really poorly. Hasbro never talks specific sales numbers, but this is a clearance item happening in front of our eyes.

I find the Thor figures didn't really move to well as a whole and the Hulk BAF was not really a mover for the wave imo.

I complete everything, but in 2017 I found the BAFs really disappointing and didn't even bother completing half of them. I do wonder if others felt the same way I did and currently do; the BAFs aren't really worth buying all the figures.

Funny thing is DCMultiverse has the opposite problem I feel, where the BAFs are worth it, but the figures are laughable.

They were stacked up with the Ego packs at Target. Two boneheaded two packs. Valkyrie just looks unflattering in that figure, they could have done a much better job.

The thing that's killing me about that Target 2 pack with Thor and Valkyrie is that I never wanted it because I don't go in for movie stuff. But now the movie style Valkyrie is going to be in a new Exiles series and I kind of want it. Decisions decisions.

I somewhat agree. I thought that last years BAFs were very lackluster, except maybe Warlock, who is just not a favorite character of mine though I recognize the detailing there. Hulk and Man Thing were the best of the bunch by far. Alternatively I thought the individual figures were amazing, for the most part. It definitely became a thing of liking enough of the wave that "I might as well complete it" for several of them, actually both GOTG waves.

Alternatively I completed my first ever DC CaC figure with King SHark, because he was amazing. And I hated buying almost every figure in the wave. At least it was better that Doomsday, I had a thought to maybe try and complete him but the wave that made him up was so bad it really was like you said, laughable.

I saw some preorders on EBay, so it’s getting close. I think I’m going to start buying these waves a few figures at a time online an few months after release. I’m not in a huge hurry to get any of the figures in the BP wave. If you look at the prices and availability online, then compare the previous wave’s current pricing and availability online you can see why. I wouldn’t doubt you will be able to grab every figure except maybe Ironman and Namor under retail by the end of March.

That said, I will be feeding my obsession when the Sasquatch/Deadpool wave releases. Too many good figures in that wave to trust my previous theory.

Yeah for Valkyrie I would have much preferred the white outfit.

Ideally I'd also want it to be a Skurge/Valkyrie two-pack instead and have the other head and sword come with the Thor figure from the Hulk wave but yeah....I doubt retailers would want that clogging up their shelves.

See, I would like to buy the figures one at a time as they appear but I know that certain characters like Mysterio and even Gwenpool are gonna be a pain in the ass to find at a decent price.

Speaking of, I found Mysterio on EBay. That’s the one that I will buy ASAP, I need to finish my Sinister Six. There will always be some that end up in scalper paradise, I just don’t see any in the BP wave.

I'm hoping I can just snag Mysterio upon release and just buy the rest cheaply in 6-12 months to complete Lizard. I may end up going BAF route through Dorkside though, as I think that would actually even out the remaining figures (whom I have no interest in) at about half retail cost.

Hello all Been lurking a while, only started with ML when I saw the BP wave announced (I have previously collected LEGO, minimates, and an odd action figure here or there, pretty eclectic).

Really enjoying some of these fantastic photos and innovative custom work!

I did have a question though; with toy fair a month out, how many lines does ML typically preview? Is it likely to see any of the Infinity wave, or shy of it or beyond it?

Usually when it comes to ToyFair, you'll typically see the better part of two waves announced and maybe an exclusive or two... just enough to get us to SDCC.

Physically, Hasbro will probably have the Lizard and Sasquatch BAF waves shown in full since they’re due for release over the next couple of months. I would imagine that IM, Cap, and Spiderman from Infinity War would be shown since they are in the trailer for the movie. Proxima Midnight is iffy since we don’t know of she’ll be a comic or MCU figure and Marvel Studios may not be ready to show her just yet. I would also expect to see most if not all of the X-Men wave on display. Mr. Fantastic was on display at NYCC so I would expect to see him there as well. At either Hascon or NYCC, Hasbro mentioned that they would be receiving the prototype for The Thing shortly after the event. I would imagine that we’ll either see the prototype in person or they’ll show some images of him at NYTF. Any other reveals will probably be made with slides at a panel.
